I took the same decision. Bought initially a 3X and later on a regular 3 as I found it better for documenting daily life and scenes with a lot of information
I have also chosen the GR III. I have had both and I consider that 40mm without a viewfinder is not a good thing. Very little margin for error when framing. Additionally, to make Snap focus 40mm requires more precision.

That laptop to office transition was sweet LOL. QQ - How did you manage to get the peak design anchor on your GR?? I tried for about an hour and gave up!
Haha thanks! That anchor took forever to put on. I had to use a paper clip to push it through lol

Take about 10 inches of fishing line that's thin enough to pass through the GR eyelets and thread it through the Peak Design anchor loop, then take both ends of the fishing line and push them through the GR eyelet. Just give the fishing line a strong pull until the anchor gets pulled through the eyelet and you can fasten the plastic bit through the loop as you regularly do.

I was looking into this camera for product pictures of fishing tackle upclose. Is the x worth me getting or should i look at something else. I wanted something compact and light and i saw this but i am clueless to photgraphy.
Gr3x is way better for upclose
I think I might be sick of 28 now. Would go 40 just for the kicks

@@anthonygadd295 with their hands and brains...and a bit of patience too.
@@anthonygadd295 use dentalfloss to help guide the cord through the hole. With dental floss it took me less than 5 minutes
