- Not suitable for new G-Shock users. This is the kinda G-Shock I would only recommend after you own or at least tried the rest first.

It's so beautiful looking at such tech that is completely analogue. It must be so complicated and beautiful to program so many functions like that. Really worth the price. Way better then any luxury brand tbh. Implementing a digital watch features in a fully analogue watch takes real skills. Man, you Japanese have some mind blowing skills!

Own a rangeman gpr-1000 myself and I absolutely love this masterpiece, G-Shock is the watch ever made, there's nothing sturdier than this thing!!!
This GPW-2000 is a must have for any Casio fanatic ......It rules ! ......I bought a used model June 2021 shipped with all box and documents in blackout model for $300.00 US dollars !

I just had the Olive Color one Delivered today. What a beauty. It is very hard to find any other colors other than Blue. Everything about this Watch is just beautiful. To have so much complex technology bundled in this Watch is incredible.
I have a Protrek WSDF20 with miniature Sensors -GPS, ABC that are some of the best Sensors that Casio has ever made. Though this Watch is still my favorite. To have 2 Circuit Boards and 6 motors to keep everything moving is just incredible. A true Masterpiece and a true Master of G.
A really well known gshock for its quality, i also own the gpw 2000, but i own its 35th anniversary version, a cool watch...
OMG that’s crazy. I’ve been wearing GShocks since I was a kid but haven’t ever owned a Limited Edition GShock. One day I will. To have a 35th Anniversary Edition of this watch is something!

Yeah the Compass makes it an ultimate Survival watch. But with all the Tech in the GPW-2000 there was no way for them to include a Compass in this Watch. They had to use 2 Circuit boards for the GPW-2000 to make everything work lol.

I have the GPW-2000 it was my dream to own this watch since when it released. I didn’t have the Money back then it was almost over $1000 in Canada. Bought it recently and I love it.
I did not like the current rangeman,because the idea of g shock is to survive the toughest while remaining as up to date as possible not to be dependent on a smartphone and to be charged every 24 hrs.
It can work independently to keep track of your path & backtracking of the same path. You didn't have to charge it every 24hours if you didn't use the GPS features or if you just set it to low rate tracking. Still, I get what you're saying. No battery technology even exists yet to meet our expectations at the moment. Too bad.

Functions, movement & construction, GPW2000.
Material, appearance & design, GWRB1000X.
Totally depend on ones priorities.
I prefer G-SHOCK with digital screen, because it’s much easier for me to adjust settings and time zone without looking at the instructions.

This watch syncs with your phone and updates time and date by itself.
digital screen is UGLY
I alway compare this one agains the MT-G and I prefer the MT-G more. But that's just me...

I have an MTG-B1000B-1AJF and love it to death. Perfect combination of sporty and sophisticated with all the toughness we expect from a G-Shock.
The MTG is built around this, and its newer by 3 years+ but saying that, i own both mtg b1000 one in silver with full steel bracelet and a full black with resin strap.

I stopped with G Shock because I cannot replace the strap (propierty one, which they don't produce anymore, mine is more than 20yr old). The watch is still good, but the strap is gone.
I’m sure you could get a replacement strap in the aftermarker or a watch service center. You might not get the Original Strap but I’m pretty sure you could find a Strap. Though how did you lose the Strap?
this is Ultimate analog G-shock, currently i only have GAC 110
if I have to use a phone to use timer or alarm...I would definitily use the ones in the phone

You're right. Thats the GST-B100, yes the bezel is easily scratched.
Some of the functions seem a bit overwhelming, but so many cool features, it just oozes awesome!

Had the watch & love it but didn’t like how glossy the dial is which makes reading the subdials sometimes difficult to read

GWP-2000 is still the only full analog GPS watch with a day disk.
No one is available from Seiko and Citizen, either.
Personally dislike the way showing the day by a pointing hand.

They shouldn't steam up at all. If your watch does this, get it repaired under warranty. I've owned numerous G Shocks and all have been fine.

Everything still works perfectly, even in used condition like mine here. You'll need to really read the manual and understand and remember how it works though. If you get them in brand new, you won't have to worry at all, there's a 1 year warranty.

I have had my gpw1000 for a number of years and still got no idea what it does.
I also have the black model. I find the watch to be... a watch. It is complex, yes. It is complicated, yes. The fact that it has 3 methods of acquiring times is redundant to the point of being useless. I have many atomic shocks and have never had a problem with time acquisition. The app is extremely limited. The gps provides very general coordinates. If you only wear the watch occasionally, it's too complicated to remember how to use. It's actually counterintuitive to other masters like the mudmaster and gulfmaster. It's a nice watch, no doubt. But i wish i had bought the new frogman instead.

You can still buy the watch and wear it.
Size 8/9 trainers/shoes are the perfect looking size.... anything bigger and they just look fucking ridiculous. Unfortunately this goes the same for Gshock. When you hold it, the watch looks great. Once it’s on your wrist it looks ridiculous
