    I traded my 2009 Accord which I loved. But my new hybrid Touring Accord, similar to the one you reviewed, is awesome. The seats are comfy, the room is extra special for my 6’2” frame, the 19” wheels enhance an already smooth ride. I only trade cars every 15-20 years so this one is going to have to last. The potential downside is all the computerization which, like most computers I’ve owned, will eventually cause problems. My 2009 only required good gasoline and timely fresh oil. Time will tell how this new one holds up. Oh, if you’re expecting to do your own maintenance … well, good luck with that. Enjoy the ride!!!

    I have the 2022 2.0T in white and still prefer the look of the 10th gens over these new ones. The new accords look too plain, it does not give a "sport" feel. I will say that the gas mileage is a very attractive.

    I believe Honda is trying to go the luxury/eco friendly route. They’ve done the sportiness for a while and with everything going electric (sadly) this is the outcome.
    The 2.0t was nice and a thrill to drive, but not too many people bought it.
    As far as the looks… I believe it has more of a mature luxury look which is quite nice in person but I definitely agree that the 10th gen looked better in the front end. Everything else looks nice.

    • @QBrown99
      @QBrown99 4 месяца назад +1

      What frustrates me the most is the options… the sport trim should come with leather seats as an option-the fact that you spend more just for leather seats and a few cosmetic changes for the Sport - L is crazy. The EX-L has more options, but looks plain like the LX or the EX. The Sport-L costs more than the EX-L, has less features, and the touring is nice but is not worth 40k given that the motor is the same as the lower trims and the features aren’t that well off from the EX-L.
      What they should’ve done was offered the LX > Ex > Sport or Sport L (not both but add the ability to option the differences of the two) EX L > then Touring. And throw in more power as an option for the higher trims at least.

    Auto brakes? It don’t work for mine. And also when cars gets near i front i see orange warning sign but i don’t hear any beeps! Warnings. How do i fix this?
    And anybody know how accord hybrids rpm gage works? Its jusg by 0-120? Percentage. So if i keep using 80-100% level is it same as hitting gas 6000-8000rpm?
    Thanks

    I had a 2020 Accord Touring and while the 2.0T was fun, I didn't use it for power that much as a daily. I find it funny that they keep sticking to the same naming convention since "hybrid" and "sport" sort of contradict each other. If you get a hybrid, you want to save fuel not have more power. I just got a 2024 Sonata Hybrid after considering this car. I actually find it more fun to drive since trying to save fuel is sort of like a game now with the regen. I also love how quiet a hybrid is. If you want a real sporty car, I guess Honda only has the Civic Si and Type-R now as it seems like the Accord is more luxury oriented.

    • @alexs_wrex
      @alexs_wrex  2 месяца назад

      Yea I always find it funny to see Sport and Hybrid together. They typically are associated with opposite driving experiences. If you want an actual Sporty feeling car, you basically have to go with Acura, or the more powerful Civics you mentioned.

  • @Makingwaves_123
    @Makingwaves_123 4 месяца назад +2

    I do like the interior of the new accord. Yea I agree, the powertrain, they could at least offer the 2.0T as option like what the previous gen did to as they offered three powertrains. Hyundai still offering the 2.5T on there sonata for there refereshed year and Honda could at least tried to offer the engine for one more gen. I could had seen Honda could offered some things like an AWD system and a panoramic which they still lacking on. I have the 10th gen 2.0t Sport and I do like the wheels on the sport and this new gen sport wheels as well.

    • @alexs_wrex
      @alexs_wrex  4 месяца назад +2

      Yea, I think they're pushing people to switch to Acura if they want more power or features.

  • @mileshodge3477
    @mileshodge3477 3 месяца назад +1

    This is a family sedan. Why would it need more power? I never got that argument. Does have sports wheels and pedals but I wouldn't need to go crazy fast in family sedan lol.
    And the regenerative breaking is on EV and hybrid cars isn't it? As your coming to a stop you tap it and the more you tap it the stronger the stop. It saves you from using your breaks and puts power back in battery.

    • @alexs_wrex
      @alexs_wrex  3 месяца назад

      There's been a more powerful/performance oriented version of the accord in past generations. If you don't want power then just get the normal engine. But many people want more power from their "family sedan" best of both worlds.
      My whole point is this car doesn't deserve the sport badge. It should just be kept as the hybrid model. They should have kept the previous 2.0T engine as the sportier option.

  • @a32tl

    I own a ‘21 Accord Touring 2.0T that I love. I am so disappointed with the 11th generation. What Honda should have done is nix the 1.5T engine option, made the hybrid their core offering and kept the 2.0T for those of us who prefer more power. I don’t hate the new car for what it is. I just hate the fact that they abandoned performance.

    I have a 2019 Accord Touring and I love it. IMO Honda ruined this car. No fog lights, almost looks like a Jetta from the rear. Handle shift instead of push button even tho a lot of sport trims had handle shift and the engine options are blah. Great review…

      Thanks 👍. And yea I agree, its the most lackluster "sport" trim they've had in a while. As a regular Hybrid it's great, I just don't think it's enough to be a sport trim, especially compared to previous gens.

      @alexs_wrex Yes, but you mentioned the v6 accord torque as being good, but this generation as not enough, when the v6 had 252 torque and this has 247, I mean that is basically the same, why is the torque on the v6 enough but this generation not enough, they are nearly identical lol

    • @alexs_wrex
      @alexs_wrex  4 месяца назад

      Yea, but typically the Sport trimmed Accord always had decent power while also looking sporty. This one is lacking compared to previous generations. And since there's no regular sport trim, it's a little disappointing that this is the most power you can get.
      Again, if they created a separate sport trim with more power I'd be fine with it. Overall it's a good car.
