- In this full #review I will explain all the specs of the 2024 #Honda #Accord #SportL #Hybrid then take it for a test drive. The Accord Sport L Hybrid gets one of the best MPG's at 46/ 41/44, upgraded wheels and gloss black exterior styling but it still has quirks which will bring me to my pros and cons.

Best review of a sport L on YT. Thanks
Thank you I appreciate that 👍
I had a 23, here is the recipe for disaster. Low profile tires and no spare, I was stranded waiting for a tow after hitting a pothole that damaged the sidewall so that tire pump was useless, living in the Midwest pot holes are plentiful because of the changing seasons and I live in Illinois 😢. Luckily it was me that was stranded and not my wife.
Sorry to here that but thanks for the owners insight
You had no spare? I have a 23 and it has one.
@@DeathTrap-tc6uvhe probably had a hybrid
The normal Honda's have a spare. For some reason on the hybrids, they take the spare away and substitute a small plugin air pump. Just visualize yourself in the dark trying to repair a flat tire even though the car does not have a jack or tire iron. I desperation you call the 800 number for help but are told by the recording to call back during normal business hours.
Im debating between this trim and the EXL. Im leaning more towards exl with better fuel economy and non low pro tires
The tires will make the ride more smoother
I knew i recognized the test drive thats ridge rd! 😂
That’s right 👍
They should've developed the 2.0 turbo with the hybrid motor.
That turbo will be missed
I bought a 2023 Sport-L Hybrid. I love it except for the fact that it doesn't have a spare tire. I bought a donut spare tire just in case. I'm glad I did because I hit a pothole and blew out a tire. It I didn't have that spare, I would have been stranded. If you buy one, definitely get a spare tire too. You will need it. Honda should include a spare tire. It's a safety issue.
Congrats they are nice vehicles 👍
I’m thinking of getting one. Where did you buy the spare? How did you secure it in the trunk?
@@guitarhero9592 It's expensive.
@@johndearborn119 Huh? Did you take out the foam trunk insert and put the spare there?
@@guitarhero9592 Yes.
Is the 2024 that much different than the 2023 or are you just talking about being different to the prior generation?
Different from the last generation
I have repeatedly commented that Honda Hybrids do not come with a spare tire. This is a recipe for disaster if there ever was one. I appeal to Honda, Put in a spare tire, even a donut spare.
I’m sure the dealership would work a deal 👍
Even if the dealer would sell you a donut spare and a jack and a tire iron, where do you put it because Honda filled up the cavity where the spare goes in non-hybrid models with a foam block. In a car that gets the better part of 50 miles to a gallon the miniscule amount of weight saved by getting rid of the spare would make literally no difference in milage. The Accord is no $15,000 Econbox, it cost $40,000 with taxes and other assorted fees. It is senseless for the spare to be removed.
It lacks the spare because of the battery pack for the hybrid drive system. You could just put a full size tire in the trunk.
The space where the spare is located is identical on both Hybrid and non Hybrid models. The non Hybrid models come equipped with a spare tire and associated equipment. The only difference between the two is a Foam block that Honda puts there to fill up the space and support the floor of the trunk. Your argument is totally FALSE.
@@crazybenny747Yup, and set there for years without ever being used.
At 4:16 did you rev the car? it sounded like it.
I did get some revs in
How do you rev a hybrid car? I tried on my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport but it would not rev at all.@@HawkeyeRides
@HemantR37273 I put it into gear and pushed the brakes so you could hear it rev up.
oh ok@@HawkeyeRides
Love my 21 Accord sport 2.0t. All three Honda dealers I’ve been to in the Tampa area I spoken to sales and service guys and they all say the say thing. This version on the accord is the worst. Quoting one guy who is on the chairman’s seller board (what the hell were they thinking). Yep, just so if you want the better engine and transmission now you have to pay more their Acura brand.
It’s not everyone’s fav 👍
They fixed the rear from 2022.
In 2021 they had a little refresh, lighting, wheels and no more manual with a few other updates. 2023 was the full refresh for the 11 gen.
At 4:41 the time and the miles of range are the same lol
😁👍
Sorry but the touring is not worth 40k rather have sport l it’s 34k
The sport L is nice
I have a 23 touring. Love everything about it. Got dealer to take xtra 1500 off. I opted for 17 inch wheels. Better ride and gas
Yeah it is! I have the touring and you definitely feel the difference in quality, technology and features.
Bring back the Manual!
And 2.0 liter
I missed the 2.0T sports. Please come back!!!
@@coreyjohnson3993 I agree 👍
They ruined this car.
It’s nice for a hybrid 👍
