2024 Honda Accord EX - Is This The BEST Bang For The Buck Non-Hybrid Trim Level? Find Out 👉

Just got this in the touring model. Didn’t think I’d like the newer Accord body but it’s definitely growing on me. Looks more sleek than the newer Camry in my opinion.
This car is growing on me, but I like my cars with foglights.
Such a clean design
got me a 2023 Honda accord sports L about 3 weeks ago. It’s my first Honda and I’m loving the car. Idk what it is about it but car drives so smooth. Best car I ever had.
I had a 2016 genesis g80 and 2014 Chrysler 300 and 08 Mercedes and a 2018 f150 lariat and again this the best car I ever had. It’s great on gas too
Amazing review Tom & this is my daily car.
I’ve put 10k miles on my 2023 touring over about 4 months. Things I like are how smooth the powertrain is (you can’t really tell it’s a hybrid), how smooth the ride is, how spacious the cabin is, and how refined everything feels in the interior. Things I dislike are the lack of a 360 camera and lack of height adjustments on the passenger seat. All in all, if you want an exciting sports car, this isn’t it, so I can understand why the V6 fans are feeling left out. Hopefully the Civic suits their purposes moving forward. However, this 11th gen Accord is going for a more mature audience - it feels like you’re getting a lot of car for your money if you’re looking for a refined commuter/long distance/family car.
Another big reason I went with the Accord over the Camry or Sonata was the safety rating for passengers in the back. The Accord is the only midsized hybrid sedan that got a good grade.
It’s a great car! I got the Touring version, and getting 45 mpg.
Isn’t the touring a hybrid too?
@@Ross-vi7yoYes. Wish Honda had an option for a gas model touring. Not every one wants a hybrid.
I got mine custom without hybrid
@@daveee4179You got a non Hybrid Touring?
Just purchased the Sport Hybrid yesterday. Planned to go with the Accord EX, but the Sport trim package, wheels, and tires made the difference. I agree with those who stated the new design grows on you. I was also pleasantly surprised with the acceleration.
I love my 2024 Accord hybrid touring, which as rear vents, rear charging ports, google integration, and all that. I love the quiet, smooth drive. The only thing I wish it had was some ambient lighting. Outside of that, I have little regret choosing it over the base model TLX last September. The design has grown on me a lot the longer I have had it.
A sophisticated & elegant design.
Does it automatically cut off at lights and such? And if so, is there a way where we can prevent it from doing that. Similar to the gen 10?
Need rear ac vents across the board.
Test drive, loved it, love the urban gray, has no HD fm feed, sucks
Clean design. Compared to 2025 camry I just have a better feeling on this! More mature design than 2025 camry.. Very good MPG!!
Honestly, i still believe the sportier look for the last gen but it’s growing on me everyday. I love my 24 accord’s look. It’s more luxurious in my opinion. The interior is beautiful too. The only two things I think Honda should make standard on every hybrid at least, is mirror lights and rear vents with chargers.
Just test drove this out of curiosity as I don't plan on replacing my current car for a while. But the hype and 10-Best win once again piqued my interest. Three things after my 15 min test drive (no highway though): (1) I actually forgot about the CVT, and the car and transmission never did anything during the test to cause me to remember (2) my sedan gold standard will always be the BMW 3-series after having owned multiple generations of that model in both 4 and 6 cylinders. This one, at least the engine characteristic, does feel like a very smooth 2.0T. You just don't feel shifts or turbo lag obviously. Power and torque are very linear, nothing breathtaking but close to 250 ft-lb in a 3500lb sedan is enough for daily use in my opinion (3) Ride is firm enough and compliant for city streets, and lean is well controlled. Brakes feel very firm and quite strong, just as good as in my F30 3-series. Final thoughts: this to me is very well-rounded package for those not into SUVs/Crossovers and don't need AWD, for the mpg and price, Honda reliability, enough tech...etc (around $36k for the Sport L which is my pick), this will replace my current car when the time comes.
I have a 24 hybrid sport its amazing
What is your MPG?
@@namvet1968 48 mpg
Why the sport over EX? Can’t decide help!
@@DarkKnight1981. Outstanding.
My friend has an accord that’s a couple years older and I didn’t like Sitting low or the rough ride. Maybe this one rides smoother.
Just got the 2024 Sport-L four days ago and it’s been better than expected, especially coming from a 2020 2.0T. I know. Not a perfect car but just wanted to share and vent for those thinking of getting this car, especially this model… I truly hate the shifter. I can’t put my phone in the console, and if you use a cable, you essentially lose access to the left side. This means twisting your wrist around the shifter just to get your mobile or whatever items you place there. This is when I truly miss the push button shifter in my previous Accord. Also, the lack of air vents to the backseat is interesting given that there is a small vent to help cool the battery underneath the back seat, so you’ll have to crank the AC during warmer days. Lastly, if you’re like me and used to using XM Radio, you’ll now have to use your mobile phone to use that service (meaning having to use you phone to stream instead of the car’s antenna). Otherwise, people will still hate on the looks but I admit it has grown on me, hence getting this model but at least the Still Night Pearl is very easy to the eye. Honda, bring back that button shifter!
Even the new base Camry's will have rear air vents. Such a shame. My cheap VW golf has them also.
this model looks way better then all previous models especially the cringe bulky looking 2.0s
I actually get better gas mileage a lot of the time. Think its a great car
It’s a pretty nice car…I’m not too fond of the front but it’s ok. It seriously needs awd through. I don’t like crossovers and SUVs but I need awd so if the accord had awd it would be a big win. I have a 10th gen and that car has decent power and there have been many time where. Need to quickly pull the not traffic in slippery conditions and the front wheel just go spinning away and that messes up the whole point of having decent power to be able to maneuver the car in such situations. If it had awd it would be so much better.
Also, the Accord would be better if it was a Liftback....
Great car but Honda should offer the Bose sound system in lower trim levels like the Sport-L.
Great point!
Honestly, the Bose system in the touring is not all that great.
This may be a great car just buy the spare tire kit for $500 before you drive. Car does not come with a spare tire or a jack.
I have a ‘23 EX-L and have been very happy with it. The styling isn’t the greatest in Accord history, but I feel the 2007 and 2010 designs were far worse. This gen actually feels more cramped than the previous 10th gen. I don’t know if it is actually smaller inside, but seats and console feel more crowded than last gen. Return to stick shifter from buttons was a mistake because shifter just gets in the way of cups and phones. EX-L offers best mpg of Accord line up so that’s the model I recommend.
No USB for rear passengers very disappointed for a high end Honda how much could it cost Honda to do !
There's two in the rear
Yes Honda very nice car ❤
Awaiting the civic hybrid arrival
After months of considering makes and models, I decided on the 2024 Honda Sport Hybrid and have absolutely no regrets. I am seeing your video for the first time two months after my purchase. I am enthusiastically happy with this car. The only complaints I have are it lacks a spare and the no XM on this model - I have accepted this. Both are overridden, in my opinion, by the comfort, handling and 46 mpg.
46 mpg is excellent. Can you buy a donut spare and keep it in the trunk?
The MPGs are great and all for this car but Accord enthusiasts didn’t ask for a hybrid. Killing off the 2.0t in the Accord was the proverbial nail in the coffin for me. I own a 2018 Sport 2.0t and I love that car. It even has rear seat vents and usbs with a spare tire. I really wanted to get another Accord last year as seeing my Accord has been paid off for the past 3 yrs now. So instead next week for my birthday I will be picking up my Civic Type R as seeing this is the only suitable replacement now for the 2.0t Accord. Which I will be keeping! Fun fact I told the sales person at the dealership if a 24 Accord Sport Hybrid could beat my Accord from a dig I would trade it in for the 24. He laughed and said “So when do you want your FL5 to be delivered to you” 😂. I said first week of April please☺️
I'm one of those wishing it had AWD. It's lower on my list because of that.
Look good to me
Great car, sun roof was the deal beaker. Has more room than a Rolls Phanton.😅
I like it. But I like the older ones better.
Great software engineers.
A fantastic vehicle overall but the exterior styling is pretty bland.
Yes, Camry n Sonata are my top picks.
I'm getting 37.8 mpg with my 2018 touring 1.5
Demon Honda Accord Hybrid Sport L Sedan Urban Gray Pearl
Still talking about the camera man too much.
The front and rear overhang is soo large. I feel Honda cheapened out and decontended too much. My $ is on the Camry and Sonata
NO XM RADIO, using your phone is not the same.
Does XM radio still exist? I hear it was pretty much a dead thing.
@@TheShotokan6 many new cars have xm radio and some new honda models have it also
You’re right using your phone is far better lol
I don’t like the new design at all.
If spare tire is optional
It means It’s affecting the car milage gas consumption
This full size sedan not for me
A spare tire weighs less than an adult. I highly doubt it's about the mileage and more about the space it takes up
@@jarrettenglish8034 It's about cost cutting actually. I own this car and the spare tire well is larger than on other Hondas. It can fit any donut tire and probably even a full size spare.
The 2024 Accord has a 12 Gallon Fuel Tank. My 2007 Honda Accord EXL has a 17 gal Fuel Tank and a automatic Transmission. This 2024
Honda Accord looks quite cheap on the inside. It looks like Honda was doing a lot of cost cutting. I think the 2025 Toyota Camry is going to be
a better car than the Accord.
I question that statement period my 2024 Honda Accord hybrid has a 14.8 gallon gas tank. I have the EXL model.Maybe other models have smaller gas tanks.
Cost cutting? Definitely. I keep saying this car is and feels cheaply made (I own the exact same car and color as the one on this video and also have a 2016 Accord Sport in my driveway) BUT don't get fooled by the fuel tank size. That smaller fuel tank takes me waaaayyy further than the one on my 2016.
@@SuperSuperGenius I bought the 2024 Accord EX-L hybrid. The gas tank is 12.8 gallons. In the owners manual you can find this information on pages, 32, 506 and 604. This is 48.5 Liters in metric.
Were forced to like it. Id rather get 5 - 9th gen accords and 5 - 10th gen accords, so im set for life. This new accord is like being forced to marry an unpleasant person and pretend to like it. I think i have way more options over at Toyota.
Honda got on their knees to the Global W. Elites without even putting up a fight. Toyota did not give in. They still have sporty and sexy looking sedans that also have AWD and a V-6 option!
Accord to sales are wayyy up.
U.S version is 🗑️ the overseas version is 10x better.
I like to move forward, but Honda, always black interior, cvt, no sat radio, no ambient lighting, small sunroof, honda leads the charge to sub 1 liter engine size, good bye Honda.
Can't stand the looks. Camry n Sonata look smashing.
you must have awful taste if you think the camry looks better lmaooo
@smoothkeys2414 great then. What's awful is tasteful to you.
@@CRVgarage others say otherwise but okay lil man
Design very poor IN and OUT .Looks ugly.
Disappointed with the new Accord's look. Seems big, ugly, boring and stupid looking compared to the 2021's sleek style. I was hoping for something even cooler this year, but it's just not there. Plus, it's expensive! I am extremely disappointed...!
Worse than the last model
Ur a 🤡🤡🤡
youre high on crack and dont know anything bout style if you feel that way. this car turns heads
2024 Honda Accord EX is the best value. There is no savings buying the Hybrid. Money saved on gas will go to battery replacement, computer reprogramming.
EX is a CVT. Still has an alternator, belts, pulleys, starter, traditional water pump. Hybrid has none of that. So which do you think will cost more in repairs and maintenance over 20 years?
Good info.@@mileshodge3477
You DO know battery replacement is as rare as replacing an entire engine.
The internet is correct. Very bland, very rental car styled.
I've owned a ZL1 1LE, a 2019 Typre R, 2022 SI, a Honda Passport Elite (sold to my sis) and now this Touring version of this Accord Hybrid. If massive utility (Passport wins there) isn't an option, this Accord checks all the boxes. Luxury I didn't expect and enough power to not be disappointed. Tint the windows and this car is very handsomely attractive.
