    I’ve had my P238 for 7 years or so. I was planning on getting a KelTec 380 but I saw the P238 and fell in love with it. It’s still my go to everyday weapon.

      I just traded my Glock 48 for a used P238 Equinox. Started having failures to feed. Realize that the previous owner bought aftermarket extended mags. Ran about 20 mags total today through the factory six rounder without a hiccup. Immediately bought 2 more factory mags.....regardless of the $50 price tag. You don't cheap out on mags, unless you want failures. I am loving how this gun shoots.

    Purchased my P238-HD2 about 11 months ago I know that I got gouged on the price but, I had to have it! I feel like I might have gotten the last one available in Ca. because they are not available anymore, whatsoever. Now, Sig actually dosen't make them Ca. compliant anymore. I see them online now for as much as $1400! Makes me feel lucky I got mine for $800. My HD model is all stainless with Sig night sights, G-10 grips & came with 1 flush mount magazine. I've purchased 3 more mags with 7 round capacity & pinky rests. Beautiful gun! I also added the Hogue Sportsman grip with finger notches & expanded palm swell. The combination of the Hogue grip & extended mags makes this a perfect gun, absolutely love it. The only issue I've EVER had is with aluminum cased ammo. Chokes a little bit on that crap with an occasional FTE. Here in Ca., Land Of 2A Punishment, we're not allowed to have ANY Legion models! We only recently got some Scorpion models. Can you feel my pain? Thank you for your time & great review of your P238 Legion.

    I watched this video countless times as I was researching the P238 Legion. I visited my local gun stores and held several non-Legion variants. I searched the interweb for weeks and thought I had found a few for sale, but they were scams. I finally found a used one for sale in a legitimate store in Houston and jumped on it. Did I pay more than I should have? Without a doubt...but it was SO worth it! I absolutely LOVE my P238 Legion! It is my EDC. I also have a P226 Legion, a couple of P365s, a P322, a 516, and a variety of other pistols and long guns. The P238 is my favorite, with the P226 in a close second place. It is a shame that Sig has discontinued producing it, but I am guessing they are putting all their micro-compact chips into their P365 line. Thank you for making this video, as it solidified my decision to purchase this magnificent weapon! Since my purchase, I have watched this video several times more.

    Shot several 380's a few years ago at a TX range visiting best friends. The Sig P238 the best, no contest. Felt the best, shot the best, fantastic trigger, and me not familiar with 1911 operation at all. Not just me but my bud (former Marine and cop), same conclusion. Now with my local Sheriff confirming CA will no longer use "just cause" for CCW issuance based on SCOTUS NY ruling...

      I strongly suggest you go direct to the Sig P938 and skip the 365. I fired one (my neighbor's 365) and I just did not like the cheapish feel in my hand. Purely subjective I know but no thanks, I'll pass on that one. If you are hung up on capacity, the 365 is the better choice otherwise a metal framed P938 would be my choice. I would have gotten the P938 if they were available when I got my P238. My 'compact' carry 9mm is a S&W 469. My 'micro' 9mm is a Kahr PM9.

    I shot one very briefly at the range (the instructor at my ladIes' class had one and let me borrow it) and it was a nice shooter despite being a bit tiny even in my small hands. Sig definitely needs to release an updated version of this (and its 9mm counterpart) with more capacity to compete with guns like the CSX (which I also love), Hellcat, etc. If they can pull it off while also keeping the easy-rack slide (at least on the P238), that would be even better.

    When deciding upon a micro 1911, I've sampled models from Browning, Rock Island, Remington, Kimber, Springfield, and SIG. The Browning was very, very nice and one could see that the quality in the firearm. The Rock Island was nice, but plain. Having owned a Rock Island 1911 it goes bang every time, so I do not think for a minute that the “Baby Rock “ wouldn’t work out well if that were your choice. Wasn’t a big fan of the Remington nor the Kimber, especially the Micro Carry that I tested. The sights were worse than pretty much anything I have seen short of a SIG P365 SAS ( I personally don’t care for those at all. Would rather no sights over those!). For me it came down to the Springfield 911 vs. the P238. If I were comparing the “base” 238, I believe that the Springfield is better. That front sight really “pops” on the 911. That being said, if you can step-up to the Legion; do it, you won’t be sorry!
    I have on with a TLR-6 light / laser kit upon it, within a custom Kydex holster and it is an awesome setup. The firearm shoots a weight class above. You won’t be sorry. The trigger is great and crisp. The safety is extremely positive when sweeping it off. The grips are tacky enough to hold your hands but not too aggressive on you skin if carried IWB.
    My only negative is perceived down the road slide coating durability. As I have only owned one for a year and a half, I’m not sure how much holster wear it will show?? To me, the finish is cool, but it almost feels as though it is soft??? It probably won’t be a problem but that is my only “complaint “ and as it hasn’t been tested, it is more of a hypothesis, and not a true complaint.
    Enjoy your firearm, as I’m really impressed with mine.

    l am enduring the 10 day wait to get my P238 two tone. Choices on micro 380's, even within the P238 line are very limited in commifornia. I had to wait 2 months for a P238 to come in to one of my lgs.

      Thanks for checking out the review! The p238 is basically a shrunken down / micro 1911 so there’s two pistols that come to mind.
      1) the Browning 22Lr 1911 is 85% the size of a standard 1911 platform just chambered in 22LR.
      2) Sig Sauer p938-22. These are elusive as big foot riding a unicorn but if you can get your hands on one I believe this would be the closest handling and feeling to your p238.

    Love my p238 EDGE. I have maybe 700+ rounds through it with 1 stovepipe. Also, the slide lock lever/takedown pin worked its way out while doing some manipulation drills. Kinda bummed about it. But, will just keep an eye on it. I’m considering the p320 axg scorpion vs the WCP320 carry for my next purchase. Any thoughts?

    • @ConcealedCarryChannel
      @ConcealedCarryChannel  3 года назад

      Thank you for checking out the review and the feedback. I always love hearing from owners. Have you contacted Sig to have them go through the pistol? I think it would be a good idea to have them check it out.
      Now the AXG Scorpion vs Wilson Combat?... 🤔 That is such a hard choice. I like the slide better on the Wilson but I like that the AXG slide is optic ready. Both have very nice triggers. AXG has the Custom shop trigger (Legion) and the Wilson Combat has a tuned option as well. The Grip module for both feel great and you can add tungsten weights to the Wilson Combat if you want to make it a little heavier. And of course you gotta like the FDE finish the AXG has since it’s not available in black.
      I hope this input was helpful.

    • @lilg6890
      @lilg6890 3 года назад

      I’ll definitely contact Sig about the slide release! Thanks. Everything you mentioned about the P320s are exactly why I can’t decide! I have small hands, so maybe the AXG?

    • @ConcealedCarryChannel
      @ConcealedCarryChannel  3 года назад

      The Wilson Combat module is really comfortable and has great ergos for med/small hands. With the thumb indent it feels thinner than the AXG and is easier to depress the mag release. The G-10 grips on the AXG is the perfect texture though. 🤦🏻‍♂️ this is too hard of a decision to make. Ask me a easier question. 😂
      Check out the stand alone reviews I did on the AXG grip module and the Wilson combat grip module. Lemme know your thoughts on those too. Maybe it will help make a little easier decision.

      @ Samsung Tablet....It is also harder to argue in court that you were in a life or death situation when the Perp is 74+ feet away. Now if he/she/they are firing upon you from that distance then your point would be a bit more valid, but under “most” circumstances, the average home doesn’t have 75 foot hallways to defend. The average store doesn’t have 75’ for clean shots, so a defensive pistol shooting well in 10-yards (30 feet) or less is far more realistic.
