I think, with the release of this story, there are only two Lovecraft tales not covered on this channel.
Ian deserves a big pat on the brain for his Lovecraft love, and sharing this goodness with all of us.
HPL actually was working with Juan Romero on Wolfenstien 2D, before John Carnacki, the code-finder joined the team.
They say Phil Spencer is merely a thrall of Nyarlathotep, always buying strange developers and publishers, and combining them into studios yet stranger.
LOL. Juan Romero is going to Transition you into his b1tch. Remember that ad campaign?
Your comment is A#1 comedy gold and deserves one thousand likes.
You made my night, sir. 😂😂😂
You, Sir, are an Eldritch Abomination of the most punn-ishing sort.
Yours squamously,

Bleedin' 'ell!
Bout time Juan showed up! Cheers Warren, who has lots more to say but is choosing deathly silence in this instance!
Shh, wait till the life insurance policy pays out, and then he'll show up again with a new name.
@@Boogie_the_cat -- Ha, I tried that insurance scam Boogie, but they wouldn't pay out! Cheers Warren, reduced to a Pauper's Grave!
Amazing story and narration! Love it! This is a great story, and I have always had an affinity for it.
Thanks, again, for delivering this classic to us.
Have a great weekend!
YES. Hidden gem among the rougher early HPL works, thank you!
Wonderful start to the weekend much thanks
Wonderful! Surprisingly I don't immediately recognize the story; I was pretty sure I'd read everything by Lovecraft but apparently not! Very nice work.🐙🔥👻
This was an amazing story. Thank you for sharing it with us. Excellent narration. Have a splendid weekend ♥️🌟🤗
Ah a nice story to relax to. Thank you for the post.
Thanks Ian! Awesome story for this evening.
I like this story so much! Thanks Ian.
Sounds like the mine's abyss was a back door entrance into the Mountains of Madness 💀💫
Great reading Ian. Thank you for your work.
It's story time!!!
Thanks Ian ❤
Been waiting for this one! Thanks so much
"Greaser" - now I know the proper name for the locals when I visit that area
Also slang for the 1950's rockabilly types who wear their hair in a duck's ass cut, have sideburns and leather jackets, and have parts as extras in West Side Story.
@@Boogie_the_cat In the UK iit was a term for bikers - same kind of origin
A rather underappreciated work but subtle psychological horror makes it a good earlier work. Thanks Ian for sharing it with us.
I don't recall this one, so a pleasant surprise.
It's a strength of this channel that even though Lovecraft is pretty much mined out by now there's still plenty of great stuff still to go at and that's even without the new and original stuff.
Nonetheless it's with certain vague sense of melancholy that we've no more or less reached then end of Lovecraft at this point.
Perfect timing ❤
Thank you Ian🎉
GOD BLESS YOU IAN
THANK YOU 4 WHAT YOU DO 💎
One of my favorites, many thanks!
I'd been waiting for this one
the image is very cool.
Fantastic story Ian Gordon and the Horrorbabble team! With your fiery vocals Brother of the Flame...this will epic no doubt! Okay back to the Dracula opera.
Oh, well done! What a great tale, told so well.
The Aztecs were just Nahua speakers who migrated south. damn Lovecraft, why didn’t you consult R.E Howard for this one?
Howard thinks people evolve from and back into snakes.
First of all evolution doesn't work in reverse and secondly get out :)
Oh nice
Wouldn't *Juan* to miss this one, eh? *eh?*
Very good ❤
Cool
Ah perfect timing! I just finished this one recently, and was hoping to hear it in those dulcet British tones so iconic to the channel.
English tones.....not British.
Thanks!
Thank you for the THANKS!
Thank you both for thanking each other!😊
Nice! Transition stories are always disturbing.
excellent story. refreshing
Lovely something just for us😊😊
No longer is this just for the privileged few. ☠️
Now known as “Juanita Romero”
Ian, please help me. You told a short story once about someone who went into a haunted house and became lost and couldn't find their way out; it was pitch black and the person had to find their way out by feeling around. There was also a chair that he kept bumping into. Every time he turned a corner it led to the same hallway over and over.
I can't find the story and have been looking for awhile, do you know which one I'm talking about?
Blind Mand Bluff! Found it
✌
Haven't heard the story yet but I'm sure it makes sense to wish juan romero a happy pride
I’m sure Lovecraft is rolling over in his grave at that one 😆
Norton mine? Seacliff??
Ox-ONIAN
You know Lovecraft doesn't know a thing about Mexico when he thinks the Aztecs and Mexicans are totally different people
Everyone knows the Aztecs are from Aztexas.
I thought they were the staff at Casa Azteca...masters of the nacho platter!
@@tense99
That's a common mistake.
Isn't there some non-Aztec Spanish element in Mexico?
Warren stayed down in the crypt to avoid this, one of the weakest of Lovecraft's stories but I'm proud of the Horrorbabies completing the list to earn Ye Eldritch Narrator Scout Badge :)
Surprised there are any left.
Don't turn to Derleth, please, there is much better out there, especially the new authors like Vlek.
Soo blatantly racist! Capture's English Empire's world domination and its affects (effects)
Based on his correspondence many of his racial views ranged from controversial to racist even back then though his experience with other races was limited and based on beliefs that were themselves becoming controversial and archaic. Unfortunately he didn't live long or perhaps experience and the debunking of some of those beliefs over the next decade or so might have taught him different.
New upload, Love to see it!
Just curious if there's a way of playing this with my screen off, Im using premium, but video won't play. 😢 Helps with longer videos, I like to listen to them at work.
Dang. Yeah, I think that's a members-only limitation currently. I've mentioned it to our contact at RUclips, but I'm not sure they'll change it anytime soon. Sorry about that!
All good 👌
Get back to work Grubbieznuts! Or you'll be listening Lovecraft in the unemployment office!!!!
