    When we lived in the Houston metro area we were in Friendswood and League City. We loved it for all the good reasons you mentioned. It is amazing how there is so much development now as to when we were there we were basiclly on the outer edge before a lot of basically empty space between there and Galveston. Now, we are retired in San Antonio. It is amazing how many former Houston residnts are here. Both are great metro areas.

    I cannot emphasize this enough if you are planning to move to Houston: PAY ATTENTION to where you need to work/socialize. Houston can be counted as larger by itself than 6 actual states in the US. Quite literally if you live on say the west side vs east side of Houston, the drive and traffic will guarantee you will be late to work, pissed off everyday from being stuck in traffic, and will severely reduce your social life with members on opposite ends of town as no one will be willing to drive to visit you.
    Second: Houston floods very easily, and this is another thing you should pay attention to. Look up whether the area you are moving to has flooded recently and how bad. You could quite literally be under water upon your move. This is also a huge factor as to why people across town won't visit...because aside from the insane traffic, when it rains, it can be very dangerous especially in the latter half of the year. Don't say I didn't warn you!

      Even the EXPENSIVE homes in the Sugarland area flood!! But the REALTORS will *never* inform you of the flooding unless you specifically inquire about it!!

    • @Banyo__
      @Banyo__ 2 года назад +1

      @@tumarbongrox6074 Exactly that, but there is a difference between "the street flooded," in the last couple of major storms and "the houses in this area had 6 feet of water in them." All in all, do your own research to find these things out b/c realtors are there to make money, not be your friend.

      That’s not life in Texas just Houston. Dallas, Austin and San Antonio are different. Also Texas Hill Country is way different than our big cities. Houston is basically a concrete jungle I’ve lived here all my life and the only similarity to the other cities is that it gets hot but Houston is humid and hot. Also Houston is basically broken up into other smaller cities like Bellaire, Katy, Sugarland, The Woodlands etc..locals just call everything Houston because it’s easier to explain to non locals.

    One thing out of towners don’t know about is the zoning nightmare here compared to other cities ,Houston can be a illusion sometimes,you can be in a great neighborhood drive 5 min down the road and be in the hood, also the influx of people here is making developers build new houses in crime ridden low income neighborhoods ,don’t let Houston fool you just a heads up from a lifelong houstonian

    Not talking about the whole video but the first 3 minutes is embarrassingly wrong. East downtown (Eado) is more north. Not at all down south 610, in fact that area is very dangerous (I work there) that merges Sunnyside, Some of the wards, etc. West U, they have smaller lots and smaller houses, bellaire and medical district area have larger lots. Mostly older money. Not sure where you were going on that one.

      Also what stadiums was he talking about? If he meant NRG, where he pointed was not it lol.
      West U has huge houses too though.

    Got lost making a delivery to a grocery store in Sienna Plantation because of the route of that stupid parkway. Sorry residents for knocking down some of your tree branches but I wasn’t stuck blocking the entrance to your master planned community. You’re welcome for your groceries.

    I’ve been watching your videos. I’m thinking of moving to Texas. Why would you choose Houston over Dallas or San Antonio?

      Yes, I am moving to Summerwood, my home is under contract. I would have liked to hear some information on that area. Since I am moving from out of state, a video about the toll roads would be awesome. Great video though.

      Great, I’m excited about my move. I’ll be out there the weekend of Jan 8th. I’m trying to learn more about the toll roads. Have you moved?
