      @@PJthePB A suburb of Houston but still Harris County. I'm literally on the border of Harris & Montgomery County. Everything he has shown here are suburbs of Houston but still their own. Katy & Sugarland is not Houston as neither is The Woodlands. All suburbs. What are you trying to say?

    The main problem with the Woodlands is very heavy traffic on I-45 North, bad real bad.

    I came twice to Houston Texas to visit my sister she lives in Enclave Pkwy , I just fell in love with Texas. I’m planning to move out there with my hubby !

    Great video Jackson looks like they need a light rail system like Portland has. I was there a about 3 years ago and traffic was pretty heavy then so it looks like it's got even more traffic now. Thanks for the info leaned about the newer places they are building now from your video. I may need to pick one up!

    What? No Channelview with its chemical plants? Are you saying I bought a house in the dump? lol. That's all I could afford a few years ago in the 160-180'sK brand new junk house by DR Horton. Great video. Entertaining for people who want to learn about Houston's desirable locations.

      Every year they rate #1. I just saw an article recently and there were a lot of cities and town listed throughout Texas but The Woodlands always #1 in the US.

      I plan on moving to the heights but I’m an Urban woman. Look don’t start with me I won’t start with you I also tend to mind my own business. But yes I can’t wait to go back to Houston. My car will be paid off so I may try to get a house or rent for a year then get a house.

    Is the 3% buyers agent fee on top of the listing price? Or is it included? Any restrictions on oversea buyers? E.g. Can an Australian buy a townhouse in the Museum district as investment and potentially to live in during visits to the USA? If the rent doesn't cover property tax, can I pay through Citi bank branches in Sydney? Much appreciated 🙏

      Buyers does not pay a commission to their agent. The seller pays a 6% commission and is split between the buyers agent and sellers agent.

    The problem with this video is that you completely omitted information about potential flooding. The neighborhood can be incredible, but if it has a 80% chance of being flooded when Harvey 2.0 hits, I'm avoiding it

    The Woodland’s doesn’t have their own school district. They use Tomball’s, and Conroe’s school district.

    The big issues are either you have $ or connections. I lived inside 610 off San Felipe for close to 30 years but in the end treated shamefully. Don't recommend unless you have some leverage.

    Conroe is the only city in the greater Houston area I’ll live n. The rest are either flat and flood prone, overpriced, crime ridden, too far off the freeway or have awful traffic. We’ve looked in the areas in the video, no thank you.

    Best place to live in Houston is the place that is called Dallas or Ft Worth…. It’s a suburb of Houston.

      We have great colleges. Texas Southern University, University of Houston, Rice University.

      You’ll have no problem finding great colleges and trade schools in Houston.
      They are very reasonably priced too.

      I noticed that too. I don’t like how he makes it seem like he resides in multiple states. It’s one thing to claim, “I used to live here. This is what I know from my time there.” Vs “I currently live in this city and can tell you everything about it, trust me.”

      @@marissaolivarez854 exactly, I was really listening to him as I’m relocating to Beaverton OR for work. I trusted him until I saw his Texas videos and he sounded the exact same. I currently reside in Texas and I used to go to Houston often so I was blown away. It just kind of ruined the credibility for me.

      @@moncafe694 cool. I’m a native Houstonian! We relocated to the Portland metro area for my husband’s job in 2020. So we’ve lived here for over a year and I’m still not that acclimated to the area. (Which is why I don’t get how this guy can speak so confidently about culture in so many different locations. It takes time to really learn about a city.) It is completely different from Texas. Cost of living is about the same except for housing. You will experience sticker shock when looking for homes. A “fixer” here starts at about $460k. And that’s the asking price, everything here typically goes over asking at that price point. Until you get into about the $600ks then you can expect to pay close to list price.
      Beaverton is nice suburb (for this region). It’s still nothing like the master planned communities you’re used to. The best thing about the PNW is the scenery, you just don’t get this in Texas. People here are not as friendly and there’s a huge lack of cultural diversity.

      @@marissaolivarez854 You are so right..We plan on renting until we found our home and the prices were astronomical. We are definitely paying for the scenery. I have heard that it is NOT culturally diverse seeing that my husband is White and I’m a biracial black woman, that is something that needs to be addressed when deciding where to move but it’s never mentioned.
