    You can remove the fork-thing on the lower end, its threaded onto the shaft. (Instead of disassembling the thing if you forget something again) 😀

      I did not know that! It’s been some time since I made this video, so I dont recall exactly how that component looked, but I didn’t think that part could be removed from the shaft.

      Hey Ralph! That varies depending on the shock you are using. Check what the manufacturer recommends to be sure

    Hello .i 'm rebuilding 08 crf250r rear shock absorber. I made a mistake. I messed up the compression washers. The last 6-7 washers and the stopper came off while removing it. I'm not sure about the marked, last 6-7 washers. Thanks for your help

    What sandpaper grit did you use on the spring

    • @brian.d.mobley
      @brian.d.mobley  Год назад

      Hi Henry: I used several grits, but ultimately finished with 400. Spring steel is ULTRA hard and the grit becomes somewhat irrelevant. Even aggressive grits wont score the surface very much so just strive for a smooth scuffed surface free from any burrs. Thanks for watching!

      As soon as I don’t stake, a bunch of other people will comment that the service manual recommends staking. It can’t hurt to detent the thread, so I follow the Honda service manual technique
