So in todays episode of the Honda CR250 restoration as said above I'm restoring the rear shock absorber. I was planning on doing the fronts aswell but there was just too much to cover and the episode would easily be over an hour long, so I've split it into two parts.
there isn't really much to say about the restoration itself as you can get a far better idea of what's going on from watching the video so I'll leave this description short and sweet and let you crack on with the video.
So I hope you will enjoy the first episode of the series and ill see you all again very soon,
Enjoy

Subtitles in a variety of languages will be available in a few hours hopefully. Thanks for your patience :)
Love your channel and videos but didn't get a notification today 😡
@@robertriesshozerlover4 Love the X Games but I'm 50 now and crippled through racing since I was 6 . Still love the sport and Road Racing over here . But your builds and restoration vids are awesome .
I was a toolmaker engineer for a living and raced at the weekends .
Fantastic episode, great seeing what's inside a rear shock. Good to have you back 👍
Fantastic as usual. Maybe you would consider a short tutorial on what you use for your electro plating if you a stuck for some content between projects. Just a thought...
Thank you, Glad you found it interesting :)
Yes yes yes RRC video ! You know it'll be a good weekend when it starts with RRC !
Enjoy :)
Amazing how calming it is to watch your restoration videos. informative of course too! You make your videos on a silver lining, no annoying music, skipping the boring parts, extra information when is needed. Also I find your accent and voice calming as well. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much, I appreciate that comment a lot :)
agreed. The silences lets me focus on the visual, and words are only added when needed - very nice and calming
Wow, you would never know that didn't come factory direct, excellent restoration and attention to detail, love it and can't wait for the finished project, much respect bud 😉👍
Always nice to hear from you, and I'm glad you approve of the end product :)
Excelente como siempre!
Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
That drip of Ducati yellow is the perfect finish! 😉👌
Ooof 😅 that was a lot of red locktite…
The best way is to apply a small drop to the valving nut. ✌️
Carful about seeping that into the shim stack and other parts.
I’ve never used the bullet tool for the seals. I just use the plastic bag the seal came in. Maybe a squirt of wd-40 or pb-blaster on the bag so the seal slips on nicely. Well done sir. You make it looks easy.
That's a great idea, ill need to try that instead of tape next time. cheers.
I’m commenting before I watch because I already know it’s gonna be incredible!! 👊🏻
Thank you so much, always a pleasure to hear form you :)
Big Fan Bro Big Fan♥
This is a masterpiece. Congratulation from Vietnam.😉👍🍺
Thank you very much my friend :)
Another excellent work, btw, I appreciate the photography and editing ability you do in your videos, admirable the amount of angles you photograph yourself working, walking out of the room and coming back in with parts and tools.
As always , waiting for the next episode.
Thank you very much! :)
Man i have a similar shock for xl600r and this video was perfect to see whats inside it. Great job. Attention to detail next to none.
A restauração desse canal está em outro nível. 👏👏
Cool, i always waiting for your episode.i'm waiting for engine disamble. Thanks
Coming soon! ;)
This is only channel I watch where I click like even b4 I watch video. 👍
Thank you so much, I hope the video lives up to your expectations :)
The word "restore" is over used by many who think that a light cleaning and some rattle can paint do the job. Taking the time and effort to do a full disassembly, new plating, powder coating and printing your own decals take it to the top level and earn the right to be called a restoration in a much truer sense.
Excellent work here as per usual. There's a reason why so many of us keep coming back. 👍
Thank you very much for your extremely accurate comment and I'm so happy to see that there are people out there that recognize the amount of time and effort it takes to restore something properly rather than just make something " look good" for the camera but is clearly not a restoration . Thank you for coming back time and again it does mean a lot to me :)
Absolutely amazing!!!!! Great to have you back!!! A true artist!
I am really impressed with the quality and precision of your restorations, thank you, this is an excellent tutorial video.
You are my absolute favorite RUclips page. All I can say is more content. Waiting over 2 weeks for a new video sucks.
I watched your entire Subaru build and I am not even interested in Subarus but you do AMAZING work.
❤️ from Washington state.
Thank you very much that means a lot to me, sorry about the long time between videos but sadly restoring stuff to this level and then editing all the footage doe take a fair amount of time :(
Awesome! It's amazing to see all the bits and pieces inside a shock absorber. Thanks for your attention to detail.
Glad you liked it! :)
Awesome, what a lovely setup and workmanship.
GOOD JOB!
Protecting that chrome stem 👍

04:48 Groove is in the heart
Cant even think that rear sh. have so many details .

Love the attention to detail. The fact that you made your own decals when you could easily have ignored it a lovely little touch 👍

Genuinely devastated about loosing my little Woden , the Record , its a 38 is only there temporarily until I find a another vise similar in size to the woden and then the record will get a little restoration and go back out onto my big dirty workbench lol

@@RRCRestoration slooooowly. Can't get parts, no shop manual and no experience - trifecta :-D - found a broom handle in the front forks though - different ...

Your videos are amazing; all of them.
Great, great job, really.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much :)
7:50 brilliant! Absolutely brilliant.
Just fantastic! 👍🏼👍🏼
Don’t forget kids! Take lots and lots of photos and notes. The angle at which that hose connects to the shock and the reservoir must be perfect! Or when you go to install it back on the motorcycle it won’t line up properly. Obviously this is pro level work. But kids don’t be afraid. Use these techniques and you can still do good work. WD-40 and solvent will do a good job. Obviously it won’t be pro level like you are seeing here👍😁But learn from his techniques they’re fantastic👍👍
Amazing transformation as usual! I recently restored a replacement shock for my ZX9r, not quite to this standard, but I whish the spring was as easy to remove. I had to wind out the adjuster and lock nuts as you did, but then use ratchet straps to compress the spring as I don't have the correct coil spring compressor, that was a workout and a half, getting it back on was too.
Haha yeah road bike springs can be a nightmare without the correct compressors luckily most MX bikes the spring isn't under pressure when you get to the top of the adjuster so as you saw makes the job a heck of alot easier.
that rear shock is just like a 1/10 radio controled car shock !
When you pull the diaphragm out via the Schrader valve you want to pull strait up and jiggle as little as possible so you don’t bend or snap the valve.
You can even blow it out with a rubber tipped air gun.
Beautiful job, absolutely top notch 👍
Thank you :)
Perfect job! As always! Great education also 😊
Thank you 🤗
Nice work Smiley face 😁
fabuleux !! merci pour votre precision...
merci
Another great video👍
top class as usual
