🤔 . . . the “Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport”? Might want to invite Larry the Stormtrooper as a sort of guest speaker to breakdown his sweet ride… Oh, & next year, more specifically, the 1st of April: the Q-wing…
I actually do have a walker based vehicle I can recommend for a future video, and one I've become a fan of in recent years: the Manka-Class Armored Transport from The Old Republic.
A video showing the various versions of that imperial troop transport from the 80s toy, to the comic, all thevway through to the two different versions in the mandalorian would be most welcome!
There was this one game that was pretty much a Mod of Age of empires 2 that was called star wars galatic battlegrounds. The AT-DP was one of the units the Galactic Empire could make an upgrade would make it the AT-ST This game was made before disney bought lucasfilm so the AT-DP was probably based on concept art.... even in that game.
Thanks for all work! Any chance you would be sharing information on the Resistance Troop Transport? The one that looks like a couch. Just love that weird ass ship.
Well consider yourself lucky, cause I did an episode on the U-wing! ruclips.net/video/y51Ni57yfvA/видео.html&ab_channel=HyperspaceDatabase As far as a bounty hunting ship, I'll always be a fan of the Skipray Blastboat, and although it may be a little small, it is packed with weaponry and heavy armor, so it fits the bill rather nicely! ruclips.net/video/JCJQItF5E9s/видео.html&ab_channel=HyperspaceDatabase
I was never a fan of this walker due to it's tall size and it's slim legs. it always looked like it was wabbling every time it walked, and I always imagine this thing falling down very easily. of the smaller walkers, I was always more of an AT-PT kind of guy since it's small size made it perfect for more on ground missions.
Agreed! I feel like the super long legs are just asking for trouble. I wonder if this was an intentional design choice to intimidate rather than be practical?
@@hyperspacedatabase if the Empire made it for intimidation, then they failed miserably on this one. they already have so many ships, fighters, troopers, and weapons to fill that intimidation role. this thing looks like it can barely even stand due to how much it wobbles with every step.
@@hyperspacedatabase Playing Devil's advocate here, longer legs means enemies are ~less~ likely to pull a Chewbacca. I believe they're designed for open battlefields where they can quickly flank troops. Not so good in urban or heavily forested areas.😉 Ostriches walk kinda wonky but when they get up to full speed they're actually very agile with some of their strides measuring up to 16 feet. At least the AT-ST walkers have a stabilizing gyroscopes not sure about this model. Make of that what you will
What is your favorite walker from the Imperial army? Let me know and tell me why!
Toss up between MT-AT and AT-AHT.
Cuz spiders and moar dakka.

@Anton Mikkelä It is such a beast!!!
AT-DP, Why else did I search this vidro up? Lmao, IMO the AT-DP has a goofy design which I loved. (I can't explain why)

There's also its cousin the AT-AR in the Legends timeline
There are quite a few walkers that are in the same vein as this one!
Have anyone notice that the cockpit of the AT DP is similar to the cockpit of the Y45 armoured transport hauler?
Can you plz do more of the obscure imperial ground vehicles?
I will look some up!

My pleasure! Hmm, the couch transport huh? ;) I will look into it!
The Inperial Handbook actually says the AT-DP also exists in Legends.
A U-wing video would be great also I would love to hear what starship you would use if you were a bounty hunter in the star wars universe.

@@marcosrios1246 Very good points! They do have stabilizing gyros like in the AT-ST as a matter of fact!
