- So a couple of people requested this, and I thought it would be a nice change a pace. Today I'm reacting to a band called Fight The Fury, and their song "My Demons". From what I'm told, this is a side project for the lead singer and lead guitarist of Skillet...a way to get back to their "metal roots". We'll just see about that....let's see if they can deliver.
Come on in, enjoy the show...I'll see you inside. DH.

The person with the gas mask is ‘The Wanderer’ and the reason he’s there is to connect it to the front cover of their EP.
“The "My Demons" video, filmed on woodlands property Cooper and his wife and Skillet bandmate Korey Cooper own in Wisconsin, showcases the song's kinetic, relentless fury with whiplash editing and a prominent presence for The Wanderer, Fight The Fury's cloaked, gasmasked mascot -- the group's version of Iron Maiden's Eddie or Disturbed's The Guy. "He depicts the way that I see myself going through life," Cooper says. "It's a little post-apocalyptic, I guess, the feeling of going through the struggle of life -- still surviving but also still searching. That's kind of what The Wanderer is to me."”
AHHHHHHHHHHH.....NOW it makes sense why he was there.....he's the mascot. Gotcha gotcha gotcha....thank you for cluing me in.
Thanks for the mention again, again I will give the credit to Apec, who suggested it, and once again I just agreed with him.
I personally love the squeals of the guitar... live it's a bit more subdued.
I really like how you break down the song ... I just enjoy music and have never known the difference between chorus, bridge etc. ... and you even know what notes they're playing!
Yupsure, uploads lot's of live videos and many of Skillet, but also Fight the Fury, and Ledger (Jen Ledger the Skillet drummer's side project, yes she has one too)
You really should do Skillet's version of Monster, since you've done the cover of their song, definitely a bit more similar to this song, in terms of heaviness.
There's another song by Fight the Fury called Lose Hold of It All that reminds me a lot of Psychosocial by Slipknot. The guitar riffs sound similar to me.
I know I said Dominate Me was my favorite, but lissening to the chorus vocals, I can’t take it.
My Demons is stably holding on as my favorite FTF song.
"I didn't get my guitar solo :(" - paused immediately before said solo :D. Not gonna lie, I laughed. If you'd like some more FTF, check out 'Dominate Me'. If you want a killer Seth Morrison guitar solo, check out Skillet - Out of Hell.
Expect the riff of this phenomenal song to be the one of Dominion.
So I am going through your whole catalog now that I found you, totally enjoying by the way, this is the first one that I had to disagree with you just slightly, but to be fair you did say it was just personal choice about the guitar squeal which I happen to really like. Always appreciate the breakdown, hope you are going to be able to go to Skillet Concert next week on the 16th.
This is a fantastic reaction, well done sir!
Awesome reaction man you just earned yourself a subscriber out of me
Awesome, glad to hear you enjoyed the show. Welcome to The Fanbase, glad to have you among us.
@@THEDavidHeretic Thank you and yes I am wearing a Skillet shirt in my profile picture I took that picture at a Skillet concert in March 2018
Yeppers peppers 🫑 a awesome song, wowz u go into detail about the songs you review when i hear this I’m pumped I never think too much when I’m just having a great time btw not all bands do solos these days sometimes it’s just not needed it’s a 9.2
I’ve heard bands do those squeals before and better than this 1 which sounds like a mouse with a tooth ache
I prefer lose hold of it all or still burning
I thought it was better than skillet, but not a fan. Something about the guys voice sounds fake or tuned. Could be wrong, I’m in no way a music guru. Did like the music better though. Good review.
It’s just his voice, once You listen to skillet you will understand
Yes watch an actual live in concert video ... he sounds like that ... it's obviously digitally enhanced like all music that's recorded now
He sounds the same live! It’s his voice
I’m struggling to appreciate anything with this lead singer. He might be talented but can’t tell with everything I’ve heard so far. I’m no producer but it all sounds very digital and polished by more than what god granted him with.
He the lead singer of skillet
So this band has the overall John cooper skillet sounding vocals
