Don’t get me wrong cuz I do luv Skillet...BUT...FTFury has become one of my top favorites. I’m an old head banger from the 80’s that has found my life in Jesus and I’m sooo happy that bands like this are out there. Normal worship tunes aren’t really my thing. I cannot explain how much I love this!! ❤️ I’m Christian and I always loved a very wide range of music. Why would I be like that unless God made me that way? Of course you have to be careful with any kind of music. One popular song was actually about school shootings, but because it was more on the pop side, everyone ignored what it meant. In the 70’s a lot of popular music was about sex and such, but it was catchy. I love what Skillet and Fight the Fury are doing. They are reaching the, sometimes, unreachable. I used to be one. 💕 They reached me.
Yes! To be honest I'm not a fan of Skillet, not because they're bad it's just my personal taste. I like songs like Sick of It, Monsters and Back from the Dead. Those are my favourite style also like this one. I'm not a fan of "Goth-ish Skillet" or sound like many of their songs you know what I mean right?

That's what I love bout heavy rock and metal. Their artists can switch roles, since it's purely real music without autotune and sh1t. A perfect example is John Cooper and generally Skillet. We loved them in heavy rock, we loved them in soft rock and we live them now in metal. I bet pop singers don't even dare doing that.
I personally think he is running out of ideas. The lyrics sounded kind of bland. Especially when he says "Why is this my life?". That's the most typical thing you can say in a song like this.

The theme of the song is basically recycled from Monster and the lyrics are nothing new. I miss when John Cooper had something new to offer. Nowadays it's all just weak. Well I know the drummer and Seth because I grew up with them both. They are family friends. I know John from Winter Jam I got to go in the back and talk to him. Seth gave us VIP tickets to my dad and so we were able to go to the back and talk to Seth and take pictures with John and talk to him. It’s really cool!! Also the Drummer is my dads best friend! So he comes over a lot to stay the night or hang out. Jared the drummer and Seth are cousins. Me and my family grew up with Seth and Jared.
Skillet's got new songs, I'm not sure about Ledger and Fight The Fury though (Ledger released a single in 2020 and hasn't released any new songs since that I know of, and Fight The Fury hasn't been doing anything since this released I think).

That's what I love bout heavy rock and metal. Their artists can switch roles, since it's purely real music without autotune and sh1t. A perfect example is John Cooper and generally Skillet. We loved them in heavy rock, we loved them in soft rock and we live them now in metal. I bet pop singers don't even dare doing that.

I personally think he is running out of ideas. The lyrics sounded kind of bland. Especially when he says "Why is this my life?". That's the most typical thing you can say in a song like this.

@@catdogthing Nah I actually like Skillet. Old school skillet. When they had good lyrics. Also tbh this whole song is weak. The theme of the song is basically recycled from Monster and the lyrics are nothing new. I miss when John Cooper had something new to offer. Nowadays it's all just weak. Of course this usually happens to artists that have been around for years. Skillet's last album disappointed me. It wasn't as good as Rise and Awake and Alive. But I am definitely not a hater. I really like Skillet, but I just wish they could be more original like they were back then.
Also i really liked the sound of this song. It sounded awesome... It's just that the lyrics are very weak compared to Cooper's older stuff.

It is like skillet, definitely slipknot, some disturbed aspects. Literally incredible. Different time signatures. Different chords and patterns. It has body and character unlike this new hip hop shit. John Cooper, great job. I have seen you 3 times and you never disappoint

Well I know the drummer and Seth because I grew up with them both. They are family friends. I know John from Winter Jam I got to go in the back and talk to him. Seth gave us VIP tickets to my dad and so we were able to go to the back and talk to Seth and take pictures with John and talk to him. It’s really cool!! Also the Drummer is my dads best friend! So he comes over a lot to stay the night or hang out. Jared the drummer and Seth are cousins. Me and my family grew up with Seth and Jared.
