I will admit that the outro was not as good as The Resistance or Back To Life. But it was still a great ending. John’s vocals on this are so awesome. I love it. And Seth is just shredding. Such an underrated guitarist. 8.8 easy.
I think I disagree with the end of the song. I loved it, John and Seth said this band was made to highlight thier heavier qualities ( respectively) the ending was kind of like the ending to the resistance, (which you liked) but just stepped up, considering thier prog route.
And the ending was in the same key, according to John, who said the outro was built from the main riffage, if they changed key, I think it would’ve been more noticeable. I personally couldn’t hear a key change
This is the first time I’ve scene a score been actually taken with thought and having something that made no sense, even though it was phenomenal, drop the score of a song that was already amazing, and when has something unnecessary added, sorta ruined it. Good job! Personally the song is boosted by that solo. 1 thing I cannot understand and I will do a David Heretic Victorious on you very few people who are reading his. I was thinking that it was similar to that Dire Straits review, except it was quite as long and not quite as overdone lol. Liked it still, but not as much as My Demons. That's my personal favorite of Fight the Fury, because of the guitar squeals, that you didn't like lol. Oh well music is a personal taste kind of thing, and 8.2 is still a good score!
It was the last track of the EP and the title of the EP was called “ Still Breathing” hence the vocal ending “still breathing still breathing you can’t defeat me I’m still breathing”………. 8.8……..,,

Love the chunky riffage but I'm not feeling the singer. Kinda reminds me of Spineshank.
