I got one from the first batch, the only 2 things I was slightly bummed about, not a big deal but I didnt realize there was no light pipe, again not a big deal, but I do appreciate the low battery warning and I know that adds some level of electrical complications, and the lack of a battery cap lanyard. Also when pre ordering, we were told to pick a color of cerikote, I was pretty excited about it but than was told they couldn't do it. The finish is nice but the first night I took it out, some of the double anodizing came off and its showing the magnesium-titanium. Still pretty happy with it
Can you do a halo test with this housing with the carson optics vs the 50° fov optics? You have a pair of tubes with .69 and .55 halo i want to pull the trigger on. However I want to see the halo like you did in the other test. Maybe I should fly out
Interesting... I wonder if the housing will be brittle and easy to break. Magnesium is a brittle metal. Race cars are intended to break apart for energy dispersion when a wreck occurs.
That's an excellent point you bring up, however, the magnesium alloy we use is extremely flexible. It actually has a nearly identical strength profile to 6061 aluminum with about 40% less weight which makes it an ideal choice for any mechanical application.
@@customnightvision it just isn't a selling point I feel without the explanation given by LLI in their response. Doesn't come across with the same punch as military grade steel or aluminum. I know it is just words but when selling products, it matters. For instance Tungsten rings. They are 'strong' but I have first hand seen one shatter when dropped on tile because their flexibility is lacking. I am not alone in this experience either, and yet they sell tons of these rings because they choose their words wisely for advertising. Nothing wrong with LLI's explanation and I am glad they clarified it. 🤙
Had an issue with my MH-1 (should be receiving it today from repair) and contacted both CNV and LLI regarding it when I noticed the problem. Both companies were fantastic (as in better than any customer service I've dealt with in my entire life) and quick in trying to get me taken care of and keeping me updated with what is going on. I cannot recommend either company enough, they were phenomenal to deal with.
I find their customer service to be good. They will fix any issues you have. They might not be the most cheery, but they will get it done. You can see Kevin’s demeanor from his videos.
CNV drops a new video @ 0200 Hawaii time… hell yes I’m watching it and waking my wife’s ass up with the amazing 70’s game show elevator music!
Hahahahaha thanks
@@kevin11288 You not da only one Hawaiian! lol. Really looking to get the MH-1 but still debating lol
hell yeah. lol
Let her sleep and sneak the credit card out of her purse

Love the mall music. LOL. Great video and info, thanks.
I think the left hand thread was to keep the screw from unscrewing too much from articulating or something.
makes sense.
Awesome housing!

So there’s no low battery indicator?
@@mrgrump2534 no, there's no light pipe
Never used night vision. Really want to get a pair to try.
You should
you won't regret it. Just do some homework on what you're going to get. I've seen $8,500 pair I won't give $3,000 for
There's no going back. Once you can see in the dark, you wonder why you were doing anything else 😏
Just get a sionics or whatever that is
Just put my order in for an MH-1!
Nice, thank you.
@@customnightvision are your tube output images on your site through optics or just the tube itself?
Really hope the monocular setup is coming this year.
so you can share your nv with people?
Really hoping some prototype remote power modules come out soon. It was a huge bummer that they weren’t available at launch
agreed.
Great content, yall need to twist holosuns arm to get hands on the new iris for some testing before it hits the market
Im not really interested in it.

Really? What is your recommendation on LAMs right now, under 2k?
Dude! subbed and love it - late night calls huh - revenue stream maybe ;-) my Q is how can I get this stuff here on the ‘old continent’ ?? 🙂
Rebel?
crime i suppose.
Kevin, in your opinion, is the MH-1 better than the Manticore-R?
Not really, its all personal preference.

The difference would be imperceivable bro. The housing won’t affect halo, and the optics won’t really either.
Where are you flying to? Lol
This guy 😂
Halo is not that deep plus what are you running nods around so much light for lol
Aren't these really close to AB NV ARNVGs in weight though?

Good thanks for the clarification@@LowLightInnovations make sure that the people marketing this product make that a highlight for sure.
Man, a lot to unpack here. The points at which race cars are designed to come apart has nothing to do with magnesium components.

@@LowLightInnovationswhy no lanyard for the battery cap, that’s pretty simple to do and is the only negative to this housing
Are the panos going to be magnesium?
Theoretical products are not my department.
@@customnightvision yes they are
Any plans for a RH25 dovetail adapter to run dual band ?
Id ask LLI about that.
Would make for a good fire starter in a pinch.
lol
Great info that I want to learn from but the music is distracting and too loud. I'd rather focus on the content rather than the background noise.

I like the music.
Horrible customer service…

My experience with the customer service at CNV was top notch.
