Restoration of the Dinky Supertoys model no. 965 Eculid dump truck to factory condition.

My copy was certainly the king of the sandbox in its long life. That's why I couldn't ignore it and decided to restore it to factory condition. The Dinky company produced this model from 1955 to 1969. The truck, as I have already mentioned, was very worn out, to the point that cracks and abrasions appeared in the model's casting. I tried to remove all the damage. I glued the cracks with cyanoacrylate glue. I also made new tires. I used a new method of replacing wheel axles and made a set of decals. I chose the ones that I think are the most impressive. To complete the image of this model, I also made the box in which the model was sold. Gut gemacht, Paul, ich bin begeistert. Ein besonderes "Bonbon" dürfte das Messing Auspuffrohr sein 😉

I have actually ridden in the real version of this dump truck. In the 1970's, my late father worked for a civil engineering company, who owned four or five of these machines. Dad took me out one Saturday, as they were taking the trucks to a new site about 80 miles from home. The trucks were driven in convoy to the site. Hell of a day out for a seven year old. 😆😆😆

Maestro, a very interesting restoration. Since I never collected trucks, I see many t😮ypes here for the first time. I found this truck's lines to be very interesting. Pawel, for awhile there, you would paint a body with silver metallic, then add dye to your acrylic clearcoat with hardner solution. Layering over and over to achieve the color intensity you wanted. I flashed on that fact and wondered what your reasoning was for the way you add paint. Your decal work is damn good. Great job!❤ Stephen
