(THE REAL FACTS)
THIS GUIDANCE IS FROM - "THE POLICE AND CRIME STANDARDS DIRECTORATE."
(PUBLISHED JULY 2007) (Abridged.)
IMPORTANT NOTE:
No matter what is said or who says it, there is no acceptable excuse for any Police Officer or PCSO for not knowing or complying with the (2007) Home Office Guidance and GDPR Legislation.
IMPORTANT NOTE 2:
The words "not, should, requires and requirement," in the paragraphs below are used to indicate an obligation or duty of correctness in common law.
THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BODY WORN VIDEO DEVICES:
1. Body worn video devices are for overt use and they are not to be worn or used in a hidden or covert manner.
2. All Police officers and PCSOs should, where possible or practicable announce to the subject(s) of an encounter that video and audio recording is taking place using BWV.
3. The Data Protection Act (DPA) legislation requires that the data subject(s) must be informed of:
a. The identity of the data controller.
b. The purpose or purposes for which the footage is intended to be processed.
c. Any further information that is necessary for processing to be fair.
d. This information should be provided at the time they are being recorded or as soon as possible afterwards.
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 (FOIA)
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA)11 grants (the public) a general right to access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities, which may include digital images recorded by (police) BWV.

You could offer them a paper handkerchief, to make it more pointed.
You can always add something in the edit afterwards. A green spot that follows their nose, to hide it.

Honestly, 5 officers to ask one person what they're doing. What a waste of resources. Once you'd explained, they should have been straight back into the nick and just kept an eye on things with the CCTV. What an absolute pratt that sargeant is. It was bad enough 5 officers trying their best to intimidate you, but when he came out and started with his bullshit and stumbling over his words, they all quickly slunk off one by one till there were only two die hards left. For a cop to say quite stupidly he could "stand here all day" he couldn't get through the door quick enough. He'll make those rozzers pay for getting him in a situation like that. Absolutely brilliant. It’s like sketch comedy but the stakes are really high and the actors don’t know they are the stars of the drama. The longer they go on the more clownish they appear. And the more they confirm their ignorance of the law and lack of critical thinking skills.
Candidates wanted to join the police, no knowledge of the law and total ignorance is welcomed. Ability to make things up and lie are an advantage to becoming a sergeant.
