  • On this episode of Racewagen we adjust our wheel camber with the PowerFlex Bushing kit! These high performance polyurethane bushings allow for camber adjustment to get the best performance out of your vehicle. Our tires have taken a lot of abuse from the track time and the offset bushings allowed us to adjust camber for more even tire ware and better performance. The adjustability of these bushings let us dial our alignment in to exactly where we wanted it. We will see how it performs when we head to Autobahn Country Club and Ellen starts HPDE 4!

Project "...in theory...". Infinite adjustment is both a blessing and a curse at the same time

I understand being skeptical but I'm very happy with how this turned out. Teaser alert: In the next RW episode there is a serious off-track excursion and those paint marks didn't budge on the offset bushings! The locking/adjustment system on these is very well designed!

Are there some squeaking noises from that front offset bushing? Would it be good to place e zerk fitting to relube them after a while?

Could you talk about alignment spec in future episodes mainly around toe in the front and rear and why you chose that value? Also if you're running 2.4 neg camber on the front, what do the rears look like?

We have near 0 toe for track purposes. It'll be a little squirmy on the highway, but we don't want too much toe in the front on track for a few reasons:
Tire heat/wear: You are trying to go as fast as possible in a straight line so the less toe, the less drag.
Track drivability: On track 0 toe is nice and spry when you dive into a corner. Too much toe and the outside wheel will be fighting some of that turn in.
Camber is about 1.8/1.9 in the rear. So about half a degree spread between the front and rear. There isn't much adjustment in the rear without adjustable controls arms (which we don't have on the car). We don't want to go to 3 degree up front, or we'll have some axle wear issues.
Sorry for the delay, didn't see your comment until now!

I was hoping you would show us how you can do the install single-handed. :)
