Hey-TheThings fans! Welcome back to another video. How cool is it when we get to see superhumans, robots, and other creatures of our imagination come to life? It’s pretty amazing to see how far makeup artists can take things when it comes to prosthetics.
But- do you know what doesn’t get enough attention? The subtle prosthetic makeovers that happen in Hollywood. We’re talking about the fake noses, scars, and sometimes entirely new faces that happen and we rarely ever acknowledge.
Where are the academy awards for these talent makeup Artists - or maybe makeup magicians is a better name for them.
That’s why in this video we’re highlighting movie prosthetics that completely fooled you and probably went over most of our heads.
Sometimes these transformations make actors like Glenn Close in Hillbilly Elegy unrecognizable - but if we didn’t know that it was Glenn Close we would have never known prosthetics were used.
Actors like Johnny Depp even get full into the process - developing the look of their character alongside the director and makeup team.
Some other actors we’ll be mentioning in this video include Will Smith, Nicole Kidman, Channing Tatum, Steve Carrell, Huge Jackman, and Robert De Niro.
