i JUST got the steam deck a couple months ago i dont see the hype honestly i REALLY wanted to LOVE this thing but it sucks in every way it feels cheap and light. the d pad is literally unusable its so far out into the weeds on this massive thing. its weak and slow. steam os is worthless. their version of linux makes me cry.... so on and so forth. the switch has better exclusive software, better usability, better made hardware, ect. my samsung galaxy tabs8 ultra is far far FAR more powerful, premium, and capable and my old gamer laptop is far more powerful and doesnt sound like a jet engine everytime the os tries to animate a window transition lmfao (thats only a slight exaggeration) i dunno im gonna try tiny11 on the actual ssd cause win11 off the sd card looks amazing but just so incredibly slow. just get a mid range gaming laptop and the xbox elite 2 controller youll never go back or even better a rooted flagship samsung tablet with windows 11 installed if you REALLY need pc games... 🙄🙄🙄
gaming laptop are hot metal garbage with a lot of problems.... it its super uncomfortable to play with a controller on a laptop because the screen altitude is so low and screen size is so tiny compared to playing on console with TV. and using a laptop like a portable gaming handheld is AWFUL on my house backyard is way worse playing on laptop rather than just sit and play on handheld like steam deck or switch,. i tried to play spelunky 2 with controller using my laptop lenovo flex 5 on the top on my legs and was awful experience.... SO HEAVY and HOT, screen was so long of my eyes compare that to play on steam deck is WAY too uncomfortable than just sit back and relax all body and play with an handheld. this even not taking in consideration than my laptop was way more portable than a gaming laptop because it was an lenovo flex 5 touchscreen with r5 5500u vega 7 very similar specs that the steam deck has. and many laptop are trash because they have poor thermal design, bad gpu ram and cpu options and combination, some of them not even have dual channel sticks just 1x16gb u will need to purchase a top high priced brand like ASUS ROG to really like an gaming laptop. lenovo are trash having faulty hinges etc... i agree with u that an switch is really good and can be way more useful for vast majority of people but u can deny steam deck is really nice and cheap for what gives and fix a lot of problems of playing on switch (expensive games, lack of a lot of indies no emulation, awful ergonomics etc..), so i really wanted a Steam deck coming from a modded swiitch and xbox because i like to do a lot of crazy stuff that switch cant do (only if u have a jailbreaked one) playing FLASH games on handheld, Emulate PSP. DS games, play a lot of different genres games like RTS, COLONY SIM, Resource Management PAPERS PLEASE is really playable because the steam deck HAS so many inputs (trackpad, gyroscope) u can be really surprised how nice can games play on handheld considering they are only keyboard and mouse. IN RESUME steam deck fits for me the needs of an SWITCH AND LAPTOP in 1 device that needs CANNOT be supplied by a gaming laptop TOO HEAVY and BIG to be portable, too tiny screen to be desktop or living room setup so for me HELL NOt gonna speend 1500$ on gaming laptop. better just purchase a series s or x with gamepass and a steam deck and a 4k tv 55" inch because gaming on PC is not always better most of laptops doesnt outperform a SERIES X. PS: sorry for being so rude but i needed to wrote all that because im so obsessed with steam deck whole idea and concept my perfect setup is a XBOX SERIES X for AAA and a steam deck for indies and roguelikes on the go.... so if u see me like a dumb person for prefering that setup is fine i dont mind. people has different priorities and tastes so be happy at your own way 😁

Mixed reports from what I've seen on how effective that is. I did and honestly couldn't tell that I did.
@@scaryifliteral ah I see. Thanks. Honestly, I think I've only heard it being helpful for games like gta where it limits your options based on what it thinks your vram is, so 1GB. I could of course be remembering all of this incorrectly from several months ago. I've not actually installed windows on my deck yet.
FYI you can let go of the volume up button at the same you let go of the power button.
Yes but in order to ensure proper boot, holding down the button will help, I personally wait till the logo to show but yeah you can do that
I think the only main thing I want to know about is does Game Pass still work on Tiny 11?
I've been debating to switch over to Windows to allow myself to play my Game Pass games with out XCloud, but there was so little info about Tiny 11 on Steam Deck that I wasn't sure if it would even work or not.
Yeah, game pass works fine.
@@scaryifliteral Thats actually fantastic. And Tiny 11 would work fine with base version of the Steam Deck? File size that is anyway.
One windows update later ...
If you're implying that a Windows update will in some way break this, I was able to update it to the latest build just fine. It did install some apps I had to remove again, but all the new stuff was there. No problems at current. This information was in the video by the way.
I just don’t want Microsoft edge
Then don't use it? Lol
@@scaryifliteral I don’t, I just don’t want it taking up space. I hate edge with a passion, I don’t even wanna look at it.
Bro slow down.. lmao
Easier said than done
Goofy ahh jerma music
3/4 of this sentence means nothing to me
looooooool that shit was like whiplash
It works amazing on the steam deck
Aww yes! Goodbye, sleep!
Ripperoni the sleepies
I just rather hand my deck to some one and they do it LOL!
Windows it's sucks)
Well said
Good content, no question. But if you show yourself, you could also do something for your appearance (dentist maybe, or barber).
My wife's opinion is the only one I care about, certainly but random anon trolls. Get lost.
I installed window 10 can I upgrade it to window 11 on the steam deck or will it mess everything up?
That seems to be what they're saying on their page, but I haven't tested it.
@@scaryifliteral if you ever do try this please LMK it’s for science lol. I really just don’t want to redo the whole process again when I just got windows 10 on it but I should of just did windows 11 🤦🏻
i JUST got the steam deck a couple months ago
i dont see the hype honestly
i REALLY wanted to LOVE this thing but it sucks in every way
it feels cheap and light. the d pad is literally unusable its so far out into the weeds on this massive thing. its weak and slow. steam os is worthless. their version of linux makes me cry....
so on and so forth.
the switch has better exclusive software, better usability, better made hardware, ect.
my samsung galaxy tabs8 ultra is far far FAR more powerful, premium, and capable
and my old gamer laptop is far more powerful and doesnt sound like a jet engine everytime the os tries to animate a window transition lmfao (thats only a slight exaggeration)
i dunno im gonna try tiny11 on the actual ssd cause win11 off the sd card looks amazing but just so incredibly slow.
just get a mid range gaming laptop and the xbox elite 2 controller
youll never go back
or even better a rooted flagship samsung tablet with windows 11 installed if you REALLY need pc games... 🙄🙄🙄
I thought that till I downloaded windows now it’s worth the money when you have windows you can do whatever you want
gaming laptop are hot metal garbage with a lot of problems.... it its super uncomfortable to play with a controller on a laptop because the screen altitude is so low and screen size is so tiny compared to playing on console with TV.
and using a laptop like a portable gaming handheld is AWFUL on my house backyard is way worse playing on laptop rather than just sit and play on handheld like steam deck or switch,.
i tried to play spelunky 2 with controller using my laptop lenovo flex 5 on the top on my legs and was awful experience.... SO HEAVY and HOT, screen was so long of my eyes compare that to play on steam deck is WAY too uncomfortable than just sit back and relax all body and play with an handheld. this even not taking in consideration than my laptop was way more portable than a gaming laptop because it was an lenovo flex 5 touchscreen with r5 5500u vega 7 very similar specs that the steam deck has.
and many laptop are trash because they have poor thermal design, bad gpu ram and cpu options and combination, some of them not even have dual channel sticks just 1x16gb u will need to purchase a top high priced brand like ASUS ROG to really like an gaming laptop.
lenovo are trash having faulty hinges etc...
i agree with u that an switch is really good and can be way more useful for vast majority of people but u can deny steam deck is really nice and cheap for what gives and fix a lot of problems of playing on switch (expensive games, lack of a lot of indies no emulation, awful ergonomics etc..), so i really wanted a Steam deck coming from a modded swiitch and xbox because i like to do a lot of crazy stuff that switch cant do (only if u have a jailbreaked one)
playing FLASH games on handheld, Emulate PSP.
PS: sorry for being so rude but i needed to wrote all that because im so obsessed with steam deck whole idea and concept my perfect setup is a XBOX SERIES X for AAA and a steam deck for indies and roguelikes on the go.... so if u see me like a dumb person for prefering that setup is fine i dont mind. people has different priorities and tastes so be happy at your own way 😁
"switch has better exclusive and hardware". No it doesnt
Hey @Shane Craig, would this work for a Laptop used mainly for web browsing and regular tasks.
I got a Dell 5755 I just dont want to relace, mainly because its insanely good 17.3" HD Display as everything these days is fuckin 15" or smaller. Plus i dont want to shill out 500+ dollars for a new laptop to get a boost a little more performance for what i use the Laptop for because I have my $3000 Gaming PC for all that Heavy Stuff. Ill go ahead and start researching more on it but any info or alternatives you might be able to offer would be awesome.
LAPTOP SPECS:
- Model: Dell 5755 (2016)
- A Beautiful 17.3" Touchscreen Panel that I swear looks as good as my Girlfriends 2020 Macbook when side by side. Hers just has better DPI but its a 15" which is still small for me. its almost like an OLED with Inky Blacks, Great Color Accuracy, and if I had to guess its got close to 400-500 Nits of Brightness. Idk, over th years of looking at Laptops', weirdly a great panel is something a still rarely see, especially when Penel Tech is getting Better and Cheaper. Its almost like Laptop Makers are the only Mass Consumer Devices that still skimp out on their Panels comparatively to everything else. I dont understand, Even alot of higher end "Gaming laptops" with the 120hz+ Panels I see will have backlight bleed, terrible contrast, etc) because I sure they have to go for TN panels for the higher Refresh rates.. (As you can tell, its the main reason I want to keep this damn thing.)
(BUT! I really do like the 16:10 aspect ratios ive been seeing Laptop Makers use the last 2-3 years.)
- APU: AMD A8-7410 (Boost Clock to 2.2ghz (4 Cores)
- RAM: 16GB's Memory (only DDR3L 1600mhz) Upgraded to the 16GB sticks for only 17$ on amazon. Not too bad for that price ,eh?
- Storage: A Basic Samsung EVO 1TB (SATA based 2.5" SSD @550MB's Read and Write)
It's not bad, id just like it to be a little snappier as id imagine most people would and if this could do the trick while still being able to install drivers for certain devices and just overall work like Windows 11 that would be fucking Tits.
I hope somebody can help wish some info, Id rally appreciate it. thanks for your time if you read this comment.
When install APU driver in a fresh new tiny11 will crash the system, I try it two times and is same, any helps?
there is better choice out there. ghost spectre more clean. only use idle 1.4 gb of ram
