When I heard he had died, my heart broke so so sad for his family, his wife Helen and his children and his grandchildren.
His radio show was amazing he was the king of radio 2- I'm a radio presenter on local radio and I do hope I'm doing Terry justice. He is sadly missed by all, can't believe it's 2 years in January that is just crazy!?

Not much said about how he was party to the afforestation (and thus part-destruction) of the Scottish 'flow-country' when money from rich people such as he was used to plant non-native conifers as a tax dodge. I always remember a sly remark he made on air about conservationists after the whistle was blown on him. Maybe he was badly advised? Maybe not.
