Hey how do i know if my ps4 hardware is completly broke bc i dont know if i should reinstall the system or buy a new hardware because i dont wanna lose my data for nothing
Recently after update, I started getting error "connect an usb storage that contains update for re-installation of 11.50 or later". Faced this three times and I decided it's time to youtube. I chose "Rebuild Database" and restarted 4 times and its working as before. Thanks a ton. You have given many options with patience. UPDATE. The fix only lasted few days. But after reinitializing system with downloaded update from PS website via USB, its been a week and the issue didn't reappear.
I never experienced a video quite like this before. you went slow, without any arrogance, did the painful part of redoing and huge amount of editing, to the point of near perfection. Nice confident chill voice. (as in "this will be fixed"). I just had to tell you of my experience, and offer a couple of bucks. I hope a million give you a buck or so! And here's why. I've been brain dead today, making so many mistakes. I'm a young 61 year old male, and I kept getting stuck while putting in a new SSD. Silly errors, probably from not being attentive. I've done this once before also. Your second fix is what finally ended the humbling journey. I couldn't advance with the "now" properly written software. It kept writing, no software.
The new update had my system nearly bricked today. I was in tears and had no idea where to start. Thank you for giving me a guideline and many new things to try, and for doing so in an easy to follow, relatable way. In the end, I had to reinstall (luckily most of my game, stats, trophies, etc. had been saved to my profile) but, thanks to this video, I really feel like I learned a lot of new things and am more prepared should this (hopefully not) happen again. Such a pain in the rear to have to download apps and sign in all over again, but worth it! Many, many thanks.
Bruh the new update for GTA v is what made mine do this cause before the update my PS4 was working just fine now after I did the update that's when it done this to me smh

It was showing serious error in the system software. I was worried and again downloaded new software for reinstalling it via USB storage. Then was checking upon RUclips for any similar issues. Luckily i found your video..i didn't had to install the software again and start from the scratch.....restoring "default settings" worked for me.....thanks a ton bro..

Your video just saved me. I had accidentally flashed something onto my ps4 drive by accident (long story). So I had to get an exact matching hdd, dump it, and flash that back onto my ps4 drive. The ps4 came up with needing the update installed. I was afraid I'd lose everything. After a db rebuild, it came back, and everything is safe. THANK YOU
My Safe Mode keeps looping. I connect the reinstallation file by USB to update my PS4, I go to the PlayStation web, follow all the instructions. I have the most recent updated reinstallation, it takes and is downloading and when it's done my PS4 turns off then comes back on and it's in safe mode again asking me to reinstall the software again. It keeps looping over and over to safe mode and I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I've tried everything.

Netflix and everything else are set up via the ps4 by my son and I didn't want to watch on a laptop or phone only or wait for them to get back, days from now. Steps were easy to follow, just needed patience and it worked!
Since we in Montenegro do not have an authorized service for Montenegro, I turn to you for help. Namely, the problem occurred on the ps4 when the new update 8.00 came out. During the update, it blocked and later there is no chance that he wanted to do the update anymore. I tried deleting the update but still did not want to update. Later I tried via usb in safe mode but also brakes there at 11%. Later I tried to rebuild data but it still doesn't allow anything but update and blocks at 11% of the update. Later I tried initialization, reset to factory settings but even then it didn't want to update. Later I tried to install a new system but blocked 9% of installations and so on countless times. Tried with a new hdd but the same problem.

I reset my ps4 because I wanted to sell it then when I was at CEX they rejected it because of the issue so thankfully this video helped and I will be able to sell it😅
Holy **** thank you so much I almost bricked my ps4 while I was connecting my psvr to my setup I'm not sure how I did it but the first step fixed it for me! Man it's a pain connecting all these wires (2 screen + laptop ps4 wheel set up and much more) they're all hidden behind my rig which is huge it was a pain so thanks alot!
@@ZadiusTech Hey, So my son said his playstation is stuck in safe mode and hes tried every option and the same screen pops up and says download a reinstallation file 8.03 or later he also downloaded the reinstallation file from the playstation website from a laptop onto a USB drive with the folder named PS4 but after putting the USB in the playstation and clicking ok it updates turns off and back on the same screen what should I do? Would replacing the hard drive get it out of the safe mode loop instead of buying a whole new playstation?

BAD DECISION! I turned it on to find this scary message and luckily when i clicked okay and the messages that followed it restarted (I believe twice) and it came up to my correct user log in screen. MAN! SCARY STUFF!

None of the simple solutions worked so I had to wipe out all my data from the ps4, but I can now use it so no problem. After that I re-install my user along with genshin impact and the youtube app, played GI for a couple of hours with 0 issues, closed the game and turn off the console, the next day the ps4 tells me data is corrupted and I'm back to not being able to start my ps4. By the way options 4 and 5 just flat out refuse to respond. With option 4 the progress bar gets stuck at 99% and then says something is wrong. Option 5 doesn't even respond, after I press X to start the process it lags a few seconds and an error message pops out.
yeah it said cannot start blah blah whatev and i took the hard drive out for a bit turned it on, back off, put hdd back in then put in safe mode to install update like you showed me hope it works thanks!!🙃
hello, this is for the people who got the "Connect a USB Storage Device That Contains an Update File for Reinstallation" error. i turned on my ps4 and got blue screen without any error on it, nothing worked so i turned off ps4 by holding turn off button. i turned it back on, ejected the game dvd (probably had nothing to do with the solution but i did it anyway), it checked my drive and i got the error: "Connect a USB Storage Device That Contains an Update File for Reinstallation" and all i did was i clicked OK on that blue screen at 7:48 in this video without connecting any device that would contain an update and it said that device that contains update file was not found and it restarted my ps4, it checked the hdd again and normally went into ps4 desktop but then there was an error updating it to 9.03 version (ce-43461-8) i went into notifications and deleted the notification about the fail - very important step, then tried opening ps store it said i needed to update it so i clicked ok update now, it updated and now works normally. hope this helps someone :)

hello, this is for the people who got the "Connect a USB Storage Device That Contains an Update File for Reinstallation" error. i turned on my ps4 and got blue screen without any error on it, nothing worked so i turned off ps4 by holding turn off button. i turned it back on, ejected the game dvd (probably had nothing to do with the solution but i did it anyway), it checked my drive and i got the error: "Connect a USB Storage Device That Contains an Update File for Reinstallation" and all i did was i clicked OK on that blue screen at 7:48 in this video without connecting any device that would contain an update and it said that device that contains update file was not found and it restarted my ps4, it checked the hdd again and normally went into ps4 desktop but then there was an error updating it to 9.03 version (ce-43461-8) i went into notifications and deleted the notification about the fail - very important step, then tried opening ps store it said i needed to update it so i clicked ok update now, it updated and now works normally. hope this helps someone :)

i have this problem. i had to initialize it several times and each of those times my ps4 was working well. but now when i try to initialize and reinstall it just goes straight to cannot start ps4. i tried everything.
