Shiny value is what you perceive it to be (in terms of odds) but gifts via Nintendo absolutely do not count.

Bro I tryed hunting a bulbasaur in fRLg and I quit after 300 encounters 1. I was on a emulator hack for pc and 2 I used a speed up button and 3 I had a button to reset to the part where I checked if the Pokémon was shiny so basically it said this is a easy and energetic Pokémon to evolve and then just said no name and yeah 1 hour of hunting and got bored I have no patience you are a trooper
Given the limited information of taking 1, 7, and 60 minutes to find each suicune I averaged those together and multiplied it by the number of soft resets. With that info it could have taken around 257 days to find. damn.

My god, man! Leave it to the roamer with arguably the longest resets to go double odds. You patience and perseverance is absolutely unparalleled. Congrats, man!
I feel like Suicune taking a lot of time to show up as a shiny seems to happen to a lot of people. I was stuck 3 and a half long (6-10 hr) days resetting as consistently as possible before it finally shined for me (with charm btw). It's among the best Shinies in the entire game so it's absolutely worth it!

15 minutes after I caught mewtwo, because I had a max repel lingering, when I went to Professor Oak’s to check my pokedex and a few seconds after I was in route 1, Raikou appeared in front of me and I threw my master ball and caught it

@@Kambra IVs too in Gen 7, however it is not genetic, it will not pass down. And the Pokemon must be at level 100 and it takes a rare item to even do it.
Don't forget the bottle caps and mints from SwSh are not permanent either so once you transfer it somewhere you will be given back the same IVs it had originally which sucks consider this shiny suicunes stats are just painful to look at

Believe it or not I actually managed to catch a Shiny Suicune without even knowing or realising on my first attempt! I've never shiny hunted, I encountered it by accident without even thinking about it and used my Master Ball instantly. I then looked at it in the box and noticed it was blue in the main picture but red on the tiny picture in the box. I was amazed when I realised it was shiny, my first ever and its got to be one of the best to ever get!
Your patients is over level 90,000,, I've literally been soft reseting my ds in real time for a actual week trying to get shiny charmander on soul silver....

My shiny Snivy in Black 2 took forever. I kept putting it on hold but when I finally decided to not give up it took about a week. It was worth it though.
@@damiengemini5140 You don't have to Masterball it. While you're correct, once you flee and save it's yours forever. If it does that, you just reset. There's literally no reason to Masterball it.
I remember back some years ago, I thought shiny roamers weren't a thing since there was barely any info regarding it, I spent days trying to find evidence if they indeed existed like searching up "Shiny Raikou in FireRed/LeafGreen" on YT and Google, no one gave me a proper answer to that point. To those who don't get it : 257 days is the ingame playtime, not just the count of days he needed to find it
