Thank you for this. I'm over 55 & currently saving a deposit as a potential first time buyer...

What if I live in a council property and have the right to buy. Can I use my £110000 for a deposit or to purchase a home

    Thanks for the info Nicola.
    Very informative, as always.
Just wanted to know what the longest term would be for a joint mortgage for me and my partner (If Retiring at 70).
    I am 54, he is 52.
Would they average out both our ages OR would they go by the older person or the younger person?

Hi Rachel, thank you! It would be based on the retirement age of the older borrower in this instance.
Hope this helps, of course get in touch if you have further questions.

Always rented don’t earn enough to buy but I never started saving until a few years ago now I’m 41 and probably will never own a property 😂 oh well.
