I think F1 car would suffer too much cooling causing lost of brake temperature and probably tire temperature too.. due to lack of cornering.. It would kinda suck for an f1 race tbh
    1. The Mulsanne Strait would cause a lot of strain on the engines and brakes. Plus, cars with weaker power units would be eaten alive.
    2. It’s just too long of a circuit. It breaks the FIA’s length regulations for f1 and if it somehow got approved, the race would only be like 30 laps
    3. The HUGE circuit would have to go under expensive renovation to host an f1 race (barriers, runoff areas, track lights, etc.
    4. And finally, the GP circuit would just be way better for f1 compared to the endurance circuit

For those saying "well why don't we run there?" The normal La mons circuit (used for the 24 hour race) is too long. It's about 13.6 km (8.5 miles for my fellow Americans). For comparison spa (the longest circuit on the f1 calendar) is 7.004 km (4.352 miles) Long. F1 circuits can only be max 7km long according to the rules (spa is the one exception due to its historical significance) La mons is nearly 2x over that. There would have to be an alternative layout created specifically for formula one in order for it to be run. Not to mention the Saftey changes needed. There is the Bugatti Circuit that f1 actually has run on before and is suited to f1 but it wouldn't be the same.

It would definitely take a lot of money to get that circuit up to grade 1 safety standards. The cars wouldn’t be a problem. They’re far more reliable than they used to be, but the setup would be tricky…You want a Monza spec aero setup with a Hungary setup for the other half of the lap. You could probably sort that out with the use of DRS and some gearing changes though.

Even if F1 races in Le Mans back in time, Moto GP, truck races, endurance races (Bikes, cars etc) are races that today, are still making this amazing track shine. Plus, the circuit doesn’t have the security equipment to be a grade 1 FIA circuit able to host an F1 race.
