I noticed that this inner tail-light bulb is only present on US-market vehicles. The bulb is not there at all on Canadian market vehicles. please do try and see if you can see a bulb inside the light before going through all the work of 'replacing' the bulb! Great video! Sometimes we can easily get scared when we have to remove panels but you have shown that it is very easy to do! Thank you for the detailed explanation!
Replacement Bulb : 168 One thing I noticed that this inner tail-light bulb is only present on US-market vehicles. The bulb is not there at all on Canadian market vehicles, so if you notice that your inner-taillight bulb is not working, please do try and see if you can see a bulb inside the light before going through all the work of 'replacing' the bulb!
Please note that from what I have observed Canadian vehicles don't have this inner tail-light bulb, only the American ones do. For the Canadian vehicles, there is no bulb that goes inside it's just an empty red reflector.
@@VirarAutomotivehere's a funny thing. I'm in the US and bought my 2012 car brand new in Wisconsin. A repair shop last week told me this bulb needed replacing. Thanks to your video, I tried to replace the bulb myself and it turns out my car has the Canadian spec lights where that bulb and socket don't exist 😂

What if I can see the bulb but don’t see the bulb socket underneath the foam that you lift up ?
I learned the hard way. I took everything apart just to find out there wasn’t even a socket on my inner tail light.
Detailed description makes it easy to follow. Thanks :)
Glad you found it useful!
Do have video related to Hyundai sonata 2016 model multimedia not working. And from where we can buy multimedia in a reasonable price.
No I don't unfortunately. Sorry. :(
This video is perfect. Thank you sooo mich for sharing this information. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
When are the little inner taillights supposed to come on? When braking?
When you turn the tail-lights on at evening. Same time when you turn on your headlights.
Is this the same for the 2011 Sonata GLS 4cy?
Yes it is

So easy...thanks!
You are very welcome!
This is a very poor design to have to remove the whole light assembly to replace a bulb.
Yup. They didn't much about service and replacement.
You don’t have to remove the assembly, he did the same thing with the tail light assembly that you do not have to remove to change any of the bulbs.
The only thing I would add is to test the light before putting the cover back on just in case something is not connected right.
Thank you for sharing! Good tip!

To change a bulb. Unbelievable.
Yeah not the most direct way to replace a bulb.
@Virar Automotive Thanks for the video though. It will make the job easy.
Glad you found the video helpful 🙂. Happy Thanksgiving!
