As shown on 1:29-1:36 you definitely got the album definition correct and yes 👏🏻 album 💿 is a collection of audio recordings issued means released as a single idem.
@@JonathanMillerMusic I sure do but as a reminder a album has to contain 7 or more song 🎶 like track 8,9,10,11,12,and etc and runtime more than 30 minutes will ep is 16 to 25 minutes.

@@JonathanMillerMusic hey Jonathan question 🙋♂️ what is the term for song 🎵 🎧 🎶 starts at the beginning to the end begging 🥺 you to reply my question 🙋♂️ on RUclips hopefully 🙏 you will check it out my friend.
As shown on 1:30-1:37 I will take your definition of album definition but swapped the runtime position because ep is under 30 minutes because it’s in the ranger of 16 to 25 minutes while a album is above 👆 30 minutes and it’s roughly more than 7 tracks but they do considered to have 7 tracks on the album.
Where does the mixtape come into play? I only ask the term "Mixtape" has bent a bit and even the EP. The term EP seems to have increased from six maximum songs to about 9. As for a mixtape, it just seems to have become a term for a "non-album"😂An album but it's not one. I heard that in Hip Hop, mixtapes typically consisted of remixes over other people's beats. I guess it is just an evolution of meaning. I still would like to know where you stand as far as perspective. To answer your question: I LOVE ALL PROJECTS! Singles, EPs and albums! If the music is good, it matters not what project it is! Love your content again btw😊I'm learning so much.
aww thank you! I'm glad you're learning a lot and I feel the same way about projects -just make the music good :D So nowadays these rules are getting bent a lot so I understand why there's so much confusion about how each one differentiates. Mixtapes are essentially non-albums, you're right about that. Mixtapes are collections of recordings that showcase a variety of different aspects from an artist. They are similar to albums and EPs but aren't as cohesive in sound. They are usually released for free (not always) and are usually used to "build a buzz" for a full-length studio album or just build traction for an artist themselves. :) Hope that helps!
Thank You so much for this amazing video, and can you please make a video updated version which also includes what a Pre Release, Mixtape and Repackaged is. Thank You 🤗💕😂💁🏽
hahaha ikr. You'd be surprised though how many times I had to explain that when I made this video on TikTok 😆 Social media has taught me that a lot of what I think is obvious... sometimes isn't. hahaha
Of course! I'm glad it helped :). A title track in the Western Music Industry is typically the song that defines the record. It usually is where the album title comes from and is usually very connected to the artist and the message they want to tell with the album. In K-Pop however, the title track of an album usually means the official main featured single from a mini album or full length album. It's the song that gets performed on variety shows, gets a music video, heavy promotion, etc. It CAN also be the title of the album but it's not as connected as in the West. :)

hahaha Ok so I'll try to explain as best I can. Side A and Side B are terms stemming from when music was originally printed on vinyl records (before CDs, streaming, etc.) With vinyl records the music has to literally be cut into the disc using sound recording techniques (which is why they are so expensive) and therefore each side of the vinyl only contained so much space. Side A would include the first few songs and Side B would include the rest of the songs. However when "singles" were produced (the actual physical product, not just one song released as we know the term more so now) SIDE A of the vinyl disc sent to radio stations contained the main featured song. SIDE B of that same vinyl would contain remixes or an additional song to showcase a little more from the album. This is where we get the term "B-Sides" for songs. We used to just call them album tracks when I was growing up, but now since vinyl records have come back into popularity most people call album tracks that aren't featured songs "B-Sides." :) I hope that makes sense!!! :D
You’ve already told me what is runtime is which is Runtime is just the length of time a song plays for. It starts at @ and then stops when the audio is finished and the song is completed. :) and yes 🙌 👍 👏🏻 I should ignore the runtime number and just 😊 😉 ☺️ the music 🎶 🎵 🎼 while the runtime is doing it’s thing.
Hahaha no worries, I get the confusion! LP stands for Long-Play which is a very old fashioned term for “album.” Long-play meant that there were more songs on the body of work rather than an EP for example. So basically just think of LP as another term for “Album” because they basically mean the exact same thing. :))
Technically yes... but it's 2022 now and the rules are being bent quite a bit nowadays so I wouldn't say as hard of a "YES IT HAS TO BE" as I probably would when I first made this video. :D
That might be a little tricky and depends on what you define as "better." However, I could try and put together a video with some advice on how to make your songs sound more advanced and sonically interesting! :)
My 2 Eps...third one coming out are all 7 songs each ..not more then 26 minutes ...some would say it's too long to be a ep...what is your take on that?
"MUST be at least 7 songs" - There are plenty of prog albums with less than 7 songs that run well over 30 minutes. The album/EP distinction is an artifact of vinyl record formats and the only distinction is length - whether your recordings would fit on an extended play (EP) record, or a long play (LP) record.
Studio album can also have more than 7 songs like 8,9,10,11,12,13,etc.And yes album 💿 or studio album 💿 is a collection of audio recordings issued as a single idem which is on cd 💿 vinyl and cassette tape and I think 🤔 album 💿 would have to be more than 25 minutes long I think album 💿 would considered to be at least more than 40 minutes long like polythene is 57 minutes and 57 seconds and 46 minutes that’s an album but a ep is a mini album is extended play but 23 to 25 minutes that’s how long for mini album.
LP’s don’t always need 7 songs like albums by Pink Floyd such as Wish You Were Here and Animals with 5 songs on each and a total runtime of around 45 minutes
Hey Luke! Thanks for always being so supportive! I don't always have to time to respond to every comment but I try my best to at least read everything. Runtime is just the length of time a song plays for. It starts at 0:00 and then stops when the audio is finished and the song is completed. :)
