I'm loving Hazbin Hotel, especially its PERFECT Italian dub. I haven't seen Italian adaptations as amazing as in this show in years, and this song, in addition to "Loser, Baby", has even surpassed the original English lyrics IMO. Also, I was in tears after Riccardo's performance and I'm still recovering...
To the people who worked on the Italian version: Oreste Baldini (dialogues) and @ariannarossacaputo4038 , Rocco Garzetti and @riccardosuarez7695 (lyrics)

Personalmente ho amato tantissimo la sua performance, sia come Steven Universe che qui. Anche il testo mi è piaciuto un sacco. Spero che la Disney prenda esempio da loro 🥹
Perché prendere esempio _da_ loro e non prendere proprio loro ad adattare? Metrica, rime, poeticità, originalità... che testi della madonna farebbero?
@@TOTO-5 MA INFATTI, anche se purtroppo non è interamente colpa degli “adattatori” ma della Disney.
@@fan_332 sì, sono sicurissimo che, per i miei gusti, farebbero mille volte meglio della Brancucci, però da un lato verrebbero limitati troppo. Per ora godiamoci queste canzoni XD
@@TOTO-5 Non solo per i tuoi gusti XD. Spero che la Disney si accorga che non è così importante che le parole siano giuste con il movimento della bocca di Asha (non so come spiegarmi meglio Xd). Io, sinceramente, preferisco che il movimento non sia perfetto che avere certi testi… (Moana, Bella e la bestia e altri..)

Con le parole che ha usato Riccardo Suarez nella live di 151eg (te la consiglio se non l'hai vista) significato, giochi di parole, metrica, rime, labiale sono tutti "paletti" in cui rientrare quando si adatta un testo. Secondo me, come dici anche tu, il labiale dovrebbe essere il più sacrificabile di questi, magari limitato a vocali finali molto lunghe. Quello che è certo è che la metrica va lasciata così com'è, altrimenti si finisce per snaturare completamente la musicalità (vedi il piacevolissimo "ma ne può avere la conferma nel capitolo tre", anzi non vederlo che è meglio)

Such a pity it hasn't been dubbed (yet?🤞), but I saw that many people commented they're too used to Hazbin being in English, so maybe there isn't that high of a request :(
BTW the Italian dubbing _is_ great, I wish I could explain all the ways the adaptation turned out so so good, which is unexpected for a vulgar, queer comedy in Italy! Glad you like it😊
@@TOTO-5 Unfortunately a common problem is that most Poles don't want dubbing for things that aren't animation for children, however we do have really good dubbing for adult cartoons and probably if Hazbin Hotel came to Netflix it would get dubbed, Amazon Prime unfortunately outsourced the voiceover 😔
@anonymousofwonderland4850 yeah I guessed that was the situation. I still don't get the aversion for dubbing when nowadays you can literally choose between the two on streaming platforms, I'm a huge defender of Italian dubbing but I also consume a lot of media in their original language... it's all about being able to choose!
I hope there will be fancovers in Polish nonetheless, maybe by Studio Accantus?
@@TOTO-5 It is possible that fancovers will be created, but due to copyright reasons, not dubbings of full episodes
I also literally don't understand what's wrong with being able to have a choice xD
@@TOTO-5It can be said that the situation has improved a bit, recently Amazon Prime Polska inserted a song from Hazbin Hotel with subtitles, it was met with huge criticism in the comments (one comment was written by professional Polish voice actress)
It is still unknown whether there will be a dubbing, but more and more people want it :')
I just wanted to know the translation but like the 1st verse???? The translation, although not accurate, beautiful. I am not judging I like the meanjng of the lyrics way better this way. But wow...... bye bye Imma go cry in the corner.
The translation isn't "accurate" because it's not word-for-word, it's an adaptation to fit rhymes, rhythm, lip-sync, meaning... and that reflects the English translation under the Italian adaptation.
But you're so right, I also prefer the Italian version, it's so creative and powerful, plus it has a more harsh and impactful ending!
@@TOTO-5 yes of course i know that. I am not a native English speaker. I am turkish and they did the same thing because this is a song. It is such a hard thing to do. Like I have a course in uni literary translation. It messes everyone up. Even with things like prose. Italian did sounded really cool. Not understanding the words also help me listen to melody, rhythm etc and appreciate it better. I loved the "the illusion of free will" like dudeeeeeee that's better than the og. Oh that reminds me the turkish translator of Circe by Madeline Miller who did such a brilliant job at translating a quote and made it was so much heartwrenching and beautiful than the og.

Wow, Turkey outdid itself IMO, it's my favorite version after English and Italian... ofc I can't speak for the adaptation but the voice choices are all very fitting and not one song disappointed me! And much like you with Italian, not knowing Turkish allows me to focus more on the rhythm and it seems they paid enough attention to it, great job!
You mentioned my favorite part of the song, "l'illusione di scegliere" is so powerful, so poignant😍
BTW it's so cool you're studying translation at uni! I hope to work as a translator myself one day
@@TOTO-5 I love turkish dub industry. Like it was epic years ago. Still going strong imo. Like the dub of aragorn, gandalf etc in lotr are basically the same and I am like *melts into my couch* everytime at speeches there. I study English Literature but we have mandatory translation courses because graduates usually end up translators or editors. And I have avoided listening and watching the turkish dub. Because argh the curse of knowing and understanding the lyrics. It is like too vulgar which is what the show should be considered it's age rating. But I personally cringe at turkish swear words. I especially can't stand Lute's part in you didn't know. I am like DUDE NOOOOOO. But yeah just personal preference.
PS: You weren't rude. I just wanted make sure because when I reread my comment I felt like I sounded like an ahole.
PS2: As far as I know the turkish dub of Optimus Prime was the only dub that didn't get artifical depth. Which is a cool fact I think. 😎
Amo Riccardo, sia chiaro, ma mi pare che qui ci abbiano messo un po' tanto la mano con la post produzione... cioè, secondo me si sente un po' troppo che è la voce corretta digitalmente (considerando anche la clip di questa canzone che si può sentire nel video behind the scenes).
Detto questo, continuo ad amare Riccardo.
Boh io non lo sento, però non sono mai stato bravissimo a sgamare l'autotune quindi forse hai ragione. A ogni modo amo anch'io Riccardo, nel video di cui parli si vede la passione immensa che ci ha messo, perciò anche se dovesse aver usato qualche correzione la sua interpretazione supera qualsiasi cosa😍
Edit: forse qualche effetto lo hanno aggiunto per il semplice fatto che è una canzone in stile più pop, quindi deve suonare diversa dalle altre. Per dire, le versioni francese e brasiliana hanno un riverbero assurdo. Chissà...
@@TOTO-5 Non so, a me pare che abbiano modificato abbastanza quei vocalizzi nel ritornello ("anche questa notte per me forse è l'ultima", per capirci), che poi sia per intonarlo o per renderlo pop non so. Cioè, non so come dirlo, ma la voce mi sembra completamente diversa da quella che abbiamo potuto sentire in quel video (ovviamente l'incisione che sentiamo nella clip può non essere quella definitiva - anzi, quasi sicuramente - ma non credo sarebbe cambiata molto lo stesso)
@@pyno0 Penso che sia perché alcune volte Riccardo stona (involontariamente) quindi credo sia stato usato l'autotune.
@@lupinterzo3763 vai a sapere, rimane comunque una bellissima performance, oserei dire oggettivamente migliore di tutte le altre (l'unica che compete abbastanza è quella inglese, ma le altre sono proprio un gradino sotto).
Sinceramente preferisco la versione in inglese (non significa che non mi piaccia il doppiaggio di Riccardo, è solo che quella inglese ha qualcosa in più)
Be', sono così diverse... per me Riccardo ha elevato il tutto sia tecnicamente che emotivamente, però quella inglese è giusto poco più in basso (si parla comunque di "altitudini" molto elevate XD). In ogni caso sono entrambe perfette così come sono
