Oh Abena it is not easy koraa to be away from home. Especially on occasions when everyone is at home 🥲🥲. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with the family 😇😇

Grandma is right the substance is in the skin,and I still do that you learned from grandmother, if don't have one you will remember things she used to do in the kitchen when she cooking if you used to watch her when she cooking or helping her in the kitchen..I miss my grandmother cooking like that is the best way, you can never go wrong.
Amazing synchronization of rolling and mashing without hitting your hand. Preparing food a family task. Cultural style that I have not seen before. Enjoyed all of it!

Oh wow! Many people have said that on instagram too. When we first had it about 16 years ago, I hadn’t seen one like it before. They are from Sefwi and I hear they are common there.

When i was a teenager i prefered to read or play with my friends. Being the only girl in the midst of 3 brothers my mom n i didn't get along because i didn't help in the kitchen much. She will braise the cassava, add plantains, mix it in a way i cant eat it as ampesi nor fufu. My punishment for not helping at home. Now that i have my own children, i can understand the importance of her getting me to help in the kitchen more so i can learn these things. Your mom did well.
Hahaha that was how mums handled “lazy” children back in the day. But truthfully when the time is right, we all shape and and do what is needful 😄😄

The food looks so delicious. I am from a haitian family. We call it TomTom. My mom and I made some last week. It wasn't perfect because we didnt have the right things to actually make it. My mom and I enjoyed it. I would like to know how I can get my hands on the "pounder". I don't know what is it called. I would like to know what is is called. I prefer that than what I was using.
It's just like cooking corn meal you have to turn it well so they won't be any lump in it, I'm from saint Martin, st maarten, the only thing is that they leave their meat a little tough to strengthen their teeth we cook our meat all the way through
