I recommend for free stays (and tolerated) the bridge between Hutton le hole and Rosedale abbey near the river, and chimney bank top 2 car parks - fantastic views from the car par at the top of the bank. And for food or drink pop down to the Coach House Inn (Roxy friendly, and I work there)

Glad you enjoyed it. Teesside DA also runs a "Temporary Holiday Site" at Beadnell on the Northumberland Coast (VERY close to the Beadnell Camping & Caravanning Club Site) for 3 weeks from 19th July. You can stay as long or as short as you wish, with no need to book and again it is £10 per unit per night. REALLY well organised, really good field and lots for people (and dogs) to do. The beach is literally over the sand dunes 100 yards from the gate to the field, Beadnell village (fish+chips, shop, pub, restaurant etc) half a mile away; Seahouses 2 miles up the road and Bamburgh with its castle, butcher's, coffee shop etc another 3 miles further on. Alnwick, Lindisfarne & Craster all within easy reach. You should try it and do a Vlog about THAT camp, even if you just go for the weekend or as a stopping-off point.

Drove through Hutton Le Hole on our way to Pickering at the weekend, what a lovely village and it was a fantastic road going over the moors to Pickering. brilliant museum by look of it 🙂 Food looked very nice in the pub.Exclellent video as ever 🙂 Trev Debz and Tyler

Hello there David Rachel and Roxy. Another great campsite and a nice part of Yorkshire. We'll have to try to get to Ryhope folk museum we love thing's like that. We weren't to far away tother week when we were at Helmsley that's a beautiful village like stepping back in time. Small independent shops and they don't open until 10.am and close at 4 pm seven days a week with the exception of the Butcher's and that small coop shop. Also visited the walled garden it was lovely. Yesterday shorts and tee shirt day today fleece wooly hat, joggers and plenty of rain oh dear. Till next time Tara Marra. Malcolm and Sheila from Workington

What a lovely place. We do quite a lot of rallys and frequently when I ask other CACC members if they do DA meets I'm met with a blank look and horror when I tell them how much it can be. The Motor Caravanners Club meets are nice too as they tend to pop a community tent up and have light entertainment. We get our money back on the membership by getting all the discounts in high street shops with your membership card - always ask you'll be amazed. 20% off at Welcome Break too for some concessions!

I don't stay on any commercial sites now, only DA rallies and stopovers. For instance there's a fantastic rally on at Knaresborough rugby club until 24th July walking distance to town for £14 per night with toilets and showers. Knaresborough CAMC site is nearing £50 a night. No brainer.

We finally got round to checking one out and such a lovely location. For the sites, I have found ccc a pain with minimum nights at nice places and changing rules hence we were getting fed up, but the DA meet we really enjoyed.
