Probably depends on what DE/WM you’re ricing but usually I’ve seen them be configured with their own config language (i3, polybar), or another scripting language (bspwm with bash, awesomewm with lua), haven’t really seen CSS used before. Idk maybe it’s out there though If you’re in Wayland I think hyprland uses their own config language as well
@@zmoney42069 the functionality may be configured in shell script or some custom config, but the design is often configured in CSS, examples are toolkits like GTK and QT (that's already every major DE lol) and status bars like waybar and sfwbar (there's probably a lot more)

On a real note I'm so low-tech thate very time I want something like this, I get so close to perfection, but then some applications don't adapt the style, some things straight up stop working... Davinci Shortcuts quit working xD I can never live the dream
