Bullshit - I'm a 5th generation Australian and the only people I can even imagine pronouncing '*pass*-ive' like this is a South Australian - they say 'darnce' instead of 'dance', but even so this pronunciation of passive is ridiculous.
Forgive me but if you say that big knob passive has no loss of volume maybe you have not noticed or my unit is faulty. There is indeed a loss of volume about 6db and it is by no means negligible. So my question is, why does a passive circuit have a loss of volume?
hello sir,, when i connect my interface(focusrite solo 3rd gen) to the big knob, the volume reduced a lot. I always set my interface volume knob to 12o clock(without the big knob). after i connected it i have to turn the big knob all the way up to sound like my usuall setting. i'm wondering why this happen..
2:55 Are you kidding? It's literally less than half the volume than going direct! Try plugging your headphones directly to the computer, then try plugging the computer to the big knob and the headphones to the big knob. It goes from blaring to soft.
Thanks for the nice demonstration. I wanted to get this 2X2 passive monitor controller. I have a question, Can I connect a pair of monitors and a subwoofer in 'A' output and a pair of monitors in 'B' output? Output 'A' = mon out- sub in- sub out -speakers in. Output 'B' = mon out- speakers in Please guide me regarding this method I have Adam audio t5v monitors and Adam audio T10S subwoofer.
Looking at selling my focusrite 2i4 and getting this. I will just use my Line 6 Helix as my interface. Do I just hook up my line out on the back of my mother board to the source ?
Sorry Newb here, I have a focus rite solo and when I plug in my headphones to focusrite, audio comes out of speakers and headphones... Would this allow me to just isolate the studio monitors and just have audio out to headphones?
back round music is way to loud
Very unusual pronunciation of the word 'passive' my friend.
Haha not for an Australian its not!
Even for an aussie, that shit's weird

No Because the Solo has 1 main source for both headphones and monitors you won't be able to do it with that interface
@@bendinbeatz1172 he can use the main focusrite vol for headpfones and lower the vol or mute from knob.
What does it is working for?
How can I connect this to my audio interface 😐????
You need a mixer and audio interface
How did he pronounce passive so wrong lol
Uh 🙄 it's called an accent
They're averaging $150 now.
Does it only let you record in pro tools ?
no. use it with anything.

#1 problem I have is it reduces the volume and bass frequencies. My monitors sound crappy with the passive. I say spend more money and AVOID passive
