So, uh, I briefly turned off comments, and for reasons that I assume make perfect sense, all comments that were on this video before were deleted permanently. At least, that's what happened as far as I can tell.
So, disclaimer: This is an entirely subjective analysis of the series, and thus is down to my opinions. Additionally, it was made from the perspective of playing every game, in a row, back to back, from October 2022 to January 2023. Historical precedent and context were (for the most part) not taken into account when ranking each game. Also, with the exception of the bottom two entries, I love every single game on this list. Even number 18 is a game I would consider amazing, so if one of your favorites didn't end up in the top ten, it's not that it's a bad game. It's just, all of these games are so great, I had to rank SOME of them lower down.
Dude is a gender neutral term but I’ll respect your wishes :)
I’m 16 years old, not a 90s baby whatsoever, but damn do I love Ocarina of Time
it’s okay, really it’s not bad at all… personally, i prefer majoras mask as it’s a game i grew up with and my favorite game ever so nostalgia and bias is heavy on that opinion … i just like how it took OoT and flipped the script into some insane psychedelic depressing amazing game
That fucking game locked behind the premium online
Ocarina of all Time. It's the best out of them all.

This list just hurts my soul.
Dude I had to stop the video at number 11, Fortnite has fried they brain of these kids
just reading this comment this saved me 26 mins of my life by not watching this, thank u dude
it’s just a list and its his opinion. get over it.
For real. The placement of LTTP and OOT and then you place Link’s Open World Cooking Simulator as #1 :(
@@Matus0919 man has played every single zelda game and you assume he's just a kid addicted to fortnite 😭
"What kind of complaint is 'the game is linear'?"
I love to hear you say that. If someone prefers non-linear games that's fine, but I don't like to see a review complain about a game being linear without any further elaboration, as if linearity is an objectively terrible decision.
Someone please explain this to eiji aunoma!
SKYWARD SWORD ABOVE OCARINA OF TIME??
I will never understand why people like BotW so much. Stamina and durability of equipment are simply annoying in most games.
Twilight Princess was the last really good Zelda game in my opinion.
My Top3 would be:
3. a Link to the Past
2. Twilight Princess
1. Ocarina of Time
Oracle of ages > Ocarina of time
In the words of Will Ferrell “YOUR F*CKING HIGH!”
While I could never fathom Ocarina and Majora excluded from the top 5, I absolutely love hearing a different perspective for once. Respect to you sir
bruh this has to be the worst ordering of video games I've seen in my life, you're just wrong about pretty much everything
The hate on Link to the past, RUDE!!!
I actually wonder if he really played it more than an hour.
@Metr0politan92 Yo, I've 100% complete it before, chill.
19: Four Swords
18: Tri-Force Heroes
17: Phantom Hourglass
16: Four Swords Adventures
15: Spirit Tracks
14: The Adventure of Link
13: Skyward Sword
12: The Legend of Zelda
11: A Link Between Worlds
10: The Minish Cap
9: Oracle of Seasons
8: Oracle of Ages
7: Twilight Princess
6: Link’s Awakening
5: The Wind Waker
4: Majora’s Mask
3: Breath of the Wild
2: Ocarina of Time
1: A Link to the Past
Dude what?? The negativity behind oot is blasphemy.
I'd personally put OoT and MM (the N64-versions) in the top 5 simply because Randomizer exists. I do enjoyed BotW, but it's certainly not the best for me. It still suffers far too much from standard open world game design and has far too much empty space, shrines are kinda boring and repetitive, collectibles (Korok seeds) are awful and both story and dungeons are weak. The physics system is great though and one of the reasons why BotW is much better that the typical Ubisoft game.
Respectfully the worst list I’ve ever seen in my life
Link to the past at 13 I'm leaving
The typical trying to be different ranking, put 9 OoT makes no sense at all. And the og ocarina of time is better than the DS version.
The characters of Twighlight Princess really make it for me. The beginning of the end dungeon starting with a team of hyrule freedom fighters, one guy with a freaking bazooka, bum rushing in to help the hero seige the castle was fantastic. It was a dark game, but that made the light of the characters shine even brighter. Also... sick dragon fight.
Oh, absolutely. Twilight Princess has some of the best writing and characters in the series, hands-down. I love the characters in the other games, even BOTW, but Twilight Princess absolutely nailed it. I've seen a couple critiques of that resistance moment, but honestly, I love it so much, even if I can poke fun at it.
And yeah, we love a good dragon fight.
Stalord is definitely top ten Zelda bosses of all time
the final dungeon is a bit underwhelming, too short and less inspired than most of the previous one. Still, it is a good game.
I'm just leaving this here so you won't waste your time, since there is no dislike counter anymore.
Save yourself the time to watch this. It has literally nothing interesting to offer.
Nah bro this guy is based as hell
I shut the video off with Link to the Past. Link to the Past is one of the best Zelda's!!!!
This might be the most out of pocket list.
This list making me realize I'm getting old lol I respect u putting out a list like this bro
Comrades against the binary? Wtf does that even mean?
Come on... you cant be serious about ALTTP being in 13th place. It just plays so incredible well even to this day. The rest of the list is pretty good. For me its
5. Skyward Sword
4. A Link to the Past
3. Twilight Princess
2. Breath of the Wild
1. Wind Waker
The order is highly subjective but those are the best 5 zelda games hands down.
Good video but wow, this list is terrible

The disrespect against Ocarina and A Link to the Past is bizarre! I get it’s your opinion, but I can’t take seriously a list that hurts two games that are not only one of the best Zelda games, but some of the best games of all time
A link to the past not being notable? This hurt my soul. This was my introduction into LoZ and is in my personal opinion the BEST top over Zelda game in the series.
you can tell how young you are from this list.....
I was just about to post this exact thing. Glad I saw yours so I didn’t have to.
Did you post this as soon as you saw A Link to the Past was #13?
A link to the past shreds. Get out of here
Link to the Past was my favorite for a very long time. I enjoyed Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but I never really went back and played them again. But I have went back and played Link to the Past a lot. Even played it again recently on the switch. When Twilight Princess came out it became my favorite, even after Link Between Worlds, which became a close second for me. But they were all dethroned by Breath of the Wild. I love it completely. I even enjoyed the weapons breaking.
Glad to see Skyward Sword get some love finally! Underrated Zelda game for sure. Twilight Princess is my favorite tho.
That is something we don’t hear everyday haha
This raised something really interesting for me about the time-bound-ness of games. I do think there's something about experiencing games in the context of when they came out that fundamentally changes the experience.
My dad bought Link to the Past on release - I was three. He completed the initial trip to rescue Zelda and thought it had been a great game, well worth his money if fairly short. He then realised he had THREE MORE dungeons to complete... then hyrule castle, then seven more in the dark world, the tower, ganon!
I think the thing you have to keep in mind is that LttP pretty much invented the concept of dungeons in a way that we might recognise them today. Themed, with puzzles that build on top of other puzzles like a rubik's cube, with genuinely scary bosses. It was also - hear me out - graphically staggering. The doors to the boss lairs were terrifying and imposing. The music filled the player with dread. It took him 6 months to finish the Ice Palace, because the idea that what you did in one area could affect what you did in another sounded as insane as saying you could lick the screen to recover health.
It's probably clear by now that for me LttP is what a Zelda game IS, so my ranking would basically be how much does it capture the spirit of LttP, and that's probably a poor account of how good the games are in themselves.
My only consolation is that in 30 years, someone will release a video (or something?) where they say BotW was an open-ish world puzzle game with nice music, a slightly silly fuzzy art style and controls that are awkward because you can't just think your way there, and you'll end up writing something similarly long and rambling!
I’ve only played a little bit of it, but your thoughts on LttP was exactly mine on Ocarina of Time.
Considering importance, though, Ocarina of Time, Link to the Past, Breath of the Wild, and probably the original Zelda should all be in the top five.
I remember playing Twilight Princess when it came out, and it was very good, but felt very derivative of OoT.
I like Breath of the Wild a lot, and have sunk untold hundreds of hours into it, but it doesn’t surpass Ocarina of Time personally, but I can respect those who put it as their favorite. It’s probably my 2, but I haven’t played a bunch of Zeldas.
Oh, absolutely, the original context of playing the games changes a LOT. I mean, being honest, Link Between Worlds and Breath of the Wild are the first Zelda games that I got and beat at release; hell, I bought a Nintendo Switch and BotW basically the day they were released!
I know I didn't exactly sing its praises here, but to be clear, A Link to the Past IS an absolutely stellar game, and you're right about it basically being what a Zelda game IS. I've beaten it a few times myself, and it's a lot of fun - hell, there are some parts I'd argue it does better than Link Between Worlds! The only reason it ranked so low is just because I also loved the other games on the list, and I had to rank them all somewhere, so this ended up being how they fell.
But hey, if someone does make that video making fun of BotW, I'll either be fervently defending it in the comments, or overjoyed that the series has gotten even better since then. Only time will tell!
Yes. I had a similar experience as your dad. Tgis was my introduction to zelda. I was 12 ish when this game came out and on vacation at my aunts house. I remeber picking this game up and could stop playing it. The whole dark world concept was so good. This game was magical and everything you stated above. It will always be my #1 zelda game.
iv played most Zelda games on release since OoT with the few exceptions the 3 four swords' games it's the game franchise that gets me to buy Nintendo consoles, that's probably why i didn't buy a wii u.
your right ranking these games is a in context is a thing for example the oracle games for me are my number two (i count them as one game)
im also going to say the "texture" of a game is also a thing for me BotW is a fantastic game so many things done flawlessly but how it does dungeons and story doesn't quite feel like a zelda game.
No offense dude this list is horrid
Don't see how that wouldn't mean offense, but thanks for the input!
@@sorio99 I just mean to say I don’t want to offend you, and I don’t want you to take it in any wrong way toward yourself, but the list is bad. Majora’s mask over OOT I personally disagree with, but that’s ok, it’s their placements that are the absolute wrong part
@@sorio99 yea I agree Ocarina and majora are WAY too low
Good video, but I felt like your age definitely showed with a few of your criticisms of the older games. I’m a 38 year old Zelda fanatic that grew up with the NES titles and I own every single game on its original format. A link to the past and Ocarina may not have aged as well as a game like Wind Waker, but I felt like your review and low placements completely dismissed what groundbreaking achievements they were for their time. That’s something you really need to consider, otherwise your top games will simply be the most recent.
Personally, whilst I enjoyed BOTW and poured over 400 hours into 100% completion on Master Mode, it was a great game, but not the best ‘Zelda’ game. It had the best open world and by far the best gameplay mechanics, but it lacked a real sense of adventure that trawling dungeons gave me in previous games. There really aren’t too many memorable moments, bosses or themes. Think Forrest temple in Ocarina. Arbiters Grounds in TP…. BOTW shrines blend into 1. They all look the same. The divine beast all look the same. The bosses look the same. Nothing stands out!
My top 5 would be:
5 - BOTW
4 - A link to the past
3 - WindWaker
2 - Twilight Princess
1 - Ocarina of Time
I entirely agree! Very underrated comment. It's true that dungeons and a more progressive storyline were missing in BOTW, but I still loved it for the fantastic exploration it offered. That makes it a great Zelda game nonetheless.
breath of the wild has to be the worst outta the four imo. just the lack of dungeons didnt make it feel like an actual zelda game
I personally really enjoyed minish Cap. Not my favorite title, but pretty high up there.
I too enjoyed Minish Cap but the Kinstone mechanic felt tedious.
Had to report this video for blasphemy.
In all seriousness, it's cool to see how differently we can all view these games. Call me crazy but I can play through both OOT and MM a couple of times a year still and enjoy myself.
I wont judge you for your oppinion and dislike but i dont really agree
Wow this list was a wild ride
if by wild ride you mean absolute shite, then yes
It’s not even that the list was bad, but the kid is acting like they were under attack the whole time and then act like they’re not phased. Dude, it’s your list, who the fuck cares. For example, “..and here I am liking twilight princess for being a good game. Shame on me, I guess.” My guy, get over yourself. They whine about people dismissing games and then dismiss people. (Skyward Sword entry, for example. people have very legitimate reasons not to like that game.)
But I think the grossest thing about this video is reading a line, abruptly stopping, and then starting all over again. Maybe people feel like they can relate to this kid, but it just had me feel like they don’t give a shit about their audience.
Like, yes, we all know this is a vanity entry, but you don’t have to be so arrogant the whole time. If you’re insecure that’s one thing - yeah, this is a wild list and not very popular - but just own it goddamn
I definitely agree with you on A Link Between Worlds being amazing, 100%ing it was awesome. Definitely in my top 3.
A Link between Worlds is just a Link to the Past remake.
@@Clery75019 with a crappier mechanic and terrible weapon renting system
Interesting to put Skyward Sword so high. That game is hot garbage in my opinion. The only Zelda game I couldn't even finish.
Everyone got Ocarina of Time overrated because of nostalgia and people's opinions from that era to the newer, but man, TWILIGHT PRINCESS is FAR BETTER than any entry of N64. That's for me the best one and my most favourite, not just because of my era but the exploration in an established world, the aesthetics and characters, and of course the story itself that I loved. BOTW never got me, is more complex for casuals and newcomers, I mean it's not a Minecraft itself, it goes beyond and I agree that it's great, but not for me.
i dont like TP at all
THANK YOU people flamed me for saying that Ocarina of Time was great but also has very odd/old controles and mechanics
NEVER RANK AGAIN🔥🔥🔥🔥
Botw is overrated, feels like a monotonous big empty game for me. Definitely a step in the right direction idea wise to open up the world but the bosses are so generic, weapon system is annoying, no real temples and cringe worthy voice acting.
Gotta be honest I hate botw. It's not even in my to 5. It just isn't Zelda to me. It is painfully boring at times.
Terrible list
Skyward sword above ocarina of time and majoras mask, did we play the same game?
This list is terrible. Please don’t recommend this to me again RUclips.
If you haven’t got ocarina of time in at least your top 3 you’re not a proper Zelda fan FACT.
That's like saying "If Cheese Pizza isn't at least in your top five Pizzas, you don't actually like Pizza!"
I played MM before Oot so it didn't have as much of an impact on me thus I don't place it in my top 3.
Agreed
@@sorio99ridiculous 🙈
Oot and A Link to the Past we're the best for their time, but aren't objectively the best
20th place: Four Swords. ..Aight I'm out
“Today I’m ranking the Zelda games in a way that will get me the most hate possible”
Of the Zelda games I’ve played, Ocarina is my third favorite. And that’s just because it doesn’t give you a lot to do outside the main story with a good portion of the over world being empty space to get to the next story beat. Majora on the other hand has amazing characters and side quests that, while not majorly impacting the story, are still fun and interesting on your adventure as you traverse the world with your variety of mask abilities. For OoT, I felt like I was on a tour. But MM made me feel like I was having an adventure I could experience in my own way
ehh i dont really see an argument for skyward sword>twilight princess
i respect your opinion though, you're bold asf for putting oot and alttp that low haha
To be fair, like I said, they’re about equal for me, so that order was mostly just coin flip. Plus, I think if I was ranking the originals (GC TP and Wii SS) instead of the HD versions, I probably would’ve ranked Twilight over Skyward easily.
Ngl your list is terrible but nice video. Keep it up. Mic sounds a bit off tho
This man put OOT, which is arguably the GOAT of ALL games ever, outside the top 10. Joke list. Stopped watching after that. I knew something was fishy when LTTP was 12
I’m sorry, LttP was #13. If you’re going to mock my garbage opinions, then at least emphasize how shit they are accurately.
@@sorio99 it's not Link's Awakening which invented the Zelda formula, it's ALTTP. Link's Awakening was released a year later as an offshoot of ALTTP (it actually started as Tezuka having fun with ALTTP material). Usually such lists take into account the impact the game had on the whole series, explaining why ALTTP, OOT and the original LOZ are usually ranked much higher.
Yes, usually such lists do. I didn't. Within a few decades, there are probably only going to be a handful of people alive who actually experienced the original releases of all these games, but the games will have stayed exactly the same.
And, yes, ALTTP invented the formula, but I'd argue Link's Awakening truly refined it. ALTTP's gameplay has 95% of what we'd imagine from the standard Zelda formula, while Link's Awakening's gameplay has 100%.
To all those people whining about the ranks of ALTTP and OOT: Why is it so damn hard for you to accept a subjective opinion??
I'll rather watch an interesting discussion about why a certai game did or didn't resonate with somebody than the umtienth repetiton that those two games must be top 3. What else is there to talk about when everything is set in stone and your opinion is the only one that's right? Grow tf up!
Usually such lists take into account the legacy each title brought to the series. ALTTP and OOT basically made Zelda what it is now. This list limits itself to rating which games have the better graphics and the better gameplay. So in the end, that mostly turns out to be about ranking them according to their date of release.
Just finished four swords adventure yesterday in single player mode (first time play through), honestly one of the best Zelda games. The only complaint was that each kingdom had the same setup of three stages to complete. The puzzles in the game were extremely satisfying though. It played surprisingly well in single player mode. I never felt like I was hindered by not having a team.
Ocarina NEEDS to be in the top 3. I stopped the video here
This has got to be one of the worst rankings I’ve ever seen but it’s your list I guess.
This guy is ranking OoT and MM lower than TP. No thanks
Honestly, I like BotW, but I think it’s overrated. The game didn’t even have true dungeons! Like, that’s if I went to a McDonalds, asked for a McChicken, and they didn’t give me the chicken. Sure, the game is nice and has an amazing open world, but that doesn’t mean much when the dungeons are mediocre. But hey, that’s just my opinion.
A McChicken certainly has 0% chicken, sir.
Honestly the part of this ranking that pains me the most is seeing Majora 3D over Majora 64. I hated a lot of the changes they made in the 3D version, especially the lack of more “disturbing” textures (they did the same with Ocarina 3D, unfortunately) and the changes to the way Zora Link controls underwater. Also, the fact that each boss has an obvious weakpoint makes them a lot more of a cakewalk. I will say, the updated Bomber’s Notebook is solid and I think I prefer it over the original, but every other change just rubs me the wrong way.
I think the Oracle games are well due a remake with Link's Awakening improvement of life features.
Confronted with your top 4, I probably would have placed WW 4th as I remember being disappointed with the number of dungeons. I didn't feel like side quests and exploration made up for it as much as in MM. Anyway, good list; it's difficult to rate such an amazing and iconic series as they all have their pros and cons and for a lot of them, what is better than another can come down to really minor points.
Wait, you were disappointed with Wind Wakers 5 dungeons,, so I'd hate to think how you'd criticise Breath's _Zero_ dungeons!! I certainly hated Breath dropping them; sometimes being _too bold_ & risky just isn't the best play - especially when _everything_ else you acquire Breaks. I just can't rate Breath above a 6/10 (and only that due to the Zelda fanboy in me) but it's _so_ overrated. Tears does look a ton more exciting on the face of it thankfully - _much_ more like a Zelda game!
@@netweed09 yeah, it was a shame not to have the traditional dungeons and the divine beasts weren't quite the same, but then I knew that it was a radical departure from previous games in its open world style. When Wind Waker came out I was a fair bit younger and I haven't fully played it more recently so I mostly go by what I remember of how I felt then.
@@netweed09 I agree with your point about dungeons, but i think you're being a little overcritical. While it isnt a 10/10 for me its still a 9/10. I think for every small thing it does wrong, it does a massive thing right.
When I saw ocarina of time at 11 I knew this list was bad
This list is not consistent at all. Terrible reasoning.
My top 10 all time: 🛡️⚔️
#10 A Link To The Past
#9 Link’s Awakening
#8 Skyward Sword
#7 The Minish Cap
#6 A Link Between Worlds
#5 Breath of the Wild
#4 Twilight Princess
#3 Majora’s Mask
#2 Wind Waker
#1 Ocarina of Time
I couldn't care about your personal ranking order, but it's strange to me that you call the game with a possessed child pulling the moon down in order to destroy the world and where the main story items (masks) you recieve are essentially the tortured spirits of deceased characters "one of the lighter" games in the series.
I more mean light in terms of "less total content", rather than "cheery tone". Think weight, rather than color.
@@sorio99 Majoras has more content than Botw lol
@Congo-uf4ce I mean, no? Like, even ignoring the very different approaches the game takes, the only thing Majora's Mask has more of is mini-dungeons, and maybe literal quantity of sidequests (though even that I'm not sure is true; even if, yeah, some of Majora's Masks sidequests are better than some of BOTW's).
Both games have four main dungeons, but MM has a final area that, at most, is a set of four mini-dungeons, while I would argue Hyrule Castle in BOTW is not only a dungeon, but the best dungeon in the game. Obviously the world is bigger in BOTW (though whether that's a positive or a negative is almost entirely a matter of opinion), and there are literal hundreds of collectibles. Even with the mini-dungeons, while I would say BOTW only has one real mini-dungeon vs. MM's nine, the shrines are basically the puzzles and combat encounters you would have faced in the mini-dungeons and dungeons, just made into their own thing.
Obviously, BOTW having more content doesn't necessarily make it a better game (I mean, FSA technically has more content than Four Swords, and I don't think it's better for it), but acting like there's less in the game than Majora's Mask is, an odd take.
@Sorio99 You really trying to compare those divinity things to Majoras Masks dungeons? Please.
Majoras had multiple masterpiece sidequests with so much more care put into them compared to every other game in the series let alone Botw.....proper dungeons and big in size, playing as different characters and solving puzzles in different ways while using those characters plus traversing the world with all three in unique ways. Collecting masks....you trying to compare that to 900 koroks, 120 shrines and 4 divinities. Yeah there might be alot of the same things in botw, copy and paste, but that is it.
Don't try compare MM to Botw my dude, it's like comparing hestus piece of crap korok reward to finding a hookshot.
any list with botw #1 is fraudulent
my list is the ones that had an impact on me mixed in with gameplay.
majoras mask was my number one hands down no question asked i still boot up the game today.
oracle of ages was my number two but i personally packaged the two as one game and i truly hope for a remaster which plugs in the 3rd planed game while fixing its dated elements.
Ocarina of time was my first N64 game and first entry into zelda it holds a special place.
while ill agree BotW is a strong contender and a very good step into a new type of zelda open world however for me at least it draps the ball so hard on two things dungeons and its story telling.
im hoping to all that is holy that TotK does dungeons and storytelling better.
boy u put OOT in 11th... you'll really get some rocks thrown at you xD
I'm not even a boy and I've had a mountain thrown at me.
This was really enjoyable to watch great work.
I heard a saying from a gamesite once that said "the best zelda game is the one you played when you where 12".
Also true for me because when i think of the best it is Twilight Princess.
And for your number 1 i really liked the game but it wasnt a real zelda game for me.
No real dungeons and more of a really fun exploration game with a zelda skin on it.
But if the next one brings back dungeons it may be the new best for me :D
Interesting take on BOTW. It definitely doesn’t feel as Zelda as all of the other games but it really felt like the final manifestation of the original Legend of Zelda. I’m replaying all of the 3d Zelda’s before TOTK and I’ve been shocked at how much fun I’m having on my BOTW replay
Still waiting for the oracle games to get remade the same way links awakening did
Botw was good but after about 10 hours of play quickly becomes underwhelming. Gotta say, personally think that tp, ww, ss, and oot were all better zelda games. Botw seems like a child friendly skyrim tryhard. At least skyrim had actual dungeons 🤣
Bad enough that you put both DS games ahead of the original Legend of Zelda, but I had to completely tap out when you placed Link to the Past at # 13 !! I just cannot finish watching this tripe.
The DS games are better than Zelda 1 though, if you take out historical context.
puzzles and breath of the wild???
that the only thing breath of the wild dont have?
your list is completly questionable
Devoid of historical context, is easy to devalue alttp or the original Zelda game. But the original zelda is the game that made me a gamer. I don't factor in interface when determining how much I enjoy classics... Interface has evolved naturally over time, and I didn't notice the clunkiness when I played through it originally. Also, the non-linear nature of the original Zelda carried with it a great deal of replay... You still needed the triforce, but you almost didn't need the sword, or many items, and it was actually 2 completely different games if you managed to finish it--or named yourself Zelda. I'm more likely to replay nes Zelda on a whim than most of the others. All this to say I respect your opinion. :) also, skyward sword has am amazing lost, and my favorite zelda villain, girahim. However its spelled. :)
Ocarina as 11? Lol terrible list
I just have to accept one day that some folks just didnt mind Fi in S-S too bad as i did back when i played it on the original Wii..
…Along with Link with his sword in a perpetual charging motion, the empty overworld, the mobs who never got out of alpha testing (visually) - the thousands of toes i had to stab.
Saving grace was the twink, final Ganon encounter and the maybe the pirate ship.
I guess i am just longing for another Twilight Princess style game visually and in tone
The Water Twmple from OOT isnt universally hated, only shallow gamers hate it
Just to let you know, Tri Force Heroes is a main entry in the franchise, as is the two Four Swords games. All three are confirmed into the timeline, they all three are canon.
and all three are the worst
The real crime isn't putting OoT so low (although that is a crime) It's putting skyward sword any where other than the bottom. Even removing the absolutely awful motion controls, it's just so bad.
I can't wait for Tears of the Kingdom! A Link to the Past will always have a special place in my heart but Breath of the Wild is just on a different level.
for me breath of the wild is overrated zelda games are better when they are not open world to this extent.
@@vincenthammons6705 that’s your opinion but I’ll still say you’re wrong. Growth in games are essential look at Pokemon people were complaining how repetitive it was until they started making changes. Sure the execution isn’t perfect but I’m pretty sure they’ll get better. Winning game of the year and still overrated? People are hard to please
@@Ryu.86 did not say I did not enjoy its just not worthy of being the best game it lacked in a lot of areas especially in dungeon diversity and lack thereof. the gearing system was something to be desired and they took away the badassness of getting your master sword by giving it a break limit. the DLC was joke to me a bunch of gear you ran around to get that looked cool but sucked and you could not upgrade. I did enjoy master sword quest tho.
@@vincenthammons6705 the shrine puzzles were very diverse tho they just look the same. The master sword’s durability was something I dislike too but it is what it is. I think the dlc was great even if I skipped most of it and I still think it was worth buying.
It's the only Zelda game I don't like. Broken weapons, slow jog stamina bar, slow climbing, no dungeons. Of course, half the internet claims it's the greatest Zelda ever.
I agree and disagree with a lot of this. I especially agree with skyward sword being in the top 3. THAT game is an underrated masterpiece. But seriously, what the hell is oot doing outside of the top 10?
Oot and tp would be swapped on my list, Botw and majoras mask would be swapped, and WW would be 3 places lower.
I was with you till you had BOTW at number one. Good game for sure. Just not a good Zelda game.
Wtf are you talking about, botw is more of a zelda game than any other zelda, it’s just like the first zelda
@@Kirb299 if you think that I am not going to argue. But Zelda has been aboutbinteresting dungeons and interesting bosses. Not you play 1/4th of the game and you played the other 3/4s. Plus thst is the weakest Ganon of all time. I like botw. Just not a top Zelda game for me.
@@n8bit874 I do agree that the dungeons and ganon weren’t that good, but saying that botw isn’t a good zelda game is like saying the original zelda is not a good zelda game
@@Kirb299 it's just not top Zelda game. One of the best switch games no doubt. But when compared to the series as a whole and taking into account all of the things thar has defined what a Zelda game is it is lacking. The first game still had dungeons and unique bosses you could approach whenever you wanted and how you wanted. Botw is missing thst aspect and its something I can't look past when comparing it to all the others.
@@Kirb299 Stop using this talking point. The first Zelda was the first so there was no SET standard at the time, come on you could've at least used Zelda 2. Zelda 1 still has more Zelda elements than BOTW.
I get that this is a personal list, but #13 Link to the past is assumed to be the most replayed game and possibly has the most time spent on the game of all of the Zelda games.
criminal list, just criminal
A Link to the Past at #13? I’m gonna puke 🤢
I just got to #11 🤮🤮🤮
My picks:
Ocarina of Time 3D (10/10 on IMDb)
Link’s Awakening (Switch)
Twilight Princess HD (9/10, and pretty close to a 10)
A Link Between Worlds
Breath of the Wild
Oracle of Ages
Majora’s Mask 3D (haven’t finished the original yet)
Oracle of Seasons
Wind Waker HD
A Link to the Past
Skyward Sword HD
Link’s Awakening DX
Twilight Princess (8/10)
The Minish Cap
Ocarina of Time
Wind Waker
Skyward Sword
The Legend of Zelda
Spirit Tracks (7/10)
Phantom Hourglass
Haven’t finished Zelda II, but can’t give it more than a 6/10. Can’t comment on either Four Swords.
- Blame PH and ST because I couldn't figure out the controls, which become intuitive after an hour of playing.
- Put OOT in 11th place, which is recognized by everyone as a masterpiece.
- Consider that a bad remake of MM 3D is better than the original.
- Very controversial and linear SS reached the third place.
Are you sure you've ever played Zelda?
- They became intuitive for me quickly as well, but intuitive doesn't necessarily mean good.
- Most of the games are recognized as masterpieces by at least somebody, and taste is ultimately subjective.
- Ultimately there are positives and negatives to the remake, with it ultimately being personal taste which outweighs the other.
- Key word being controversial, meaning some people loved it, and also linearity is not some great sin that is universally despised.
And yes, I have played Zelda, I played every game in three months, that's why I made this stupid video.
Wasn’t a bad list until you ranked Ocarina Of Time number 11. I’m sorry man but there’s no way it should be that low, it is still objectively one of the best Zelda games and has aged great
To each their own, but I strongly disagree with you ranking Ocarina of Time so low. It would definitely be my #1. I also disagree with you saying the 3DS version is better than the N64 version. The N64 version is more atmospheric whereas the 3DS version feels far less dark. And the game was designed around the N64 controller, and like many games that were designed around the N64 controller, it just doesn't feel right without it.
To have OoT as #11 I stopped watching because I already know your gonna have BOTW at the top. Which is an absolute joke. Opinion or not what makes BOTW better than OoT, twilight, windwaker and even MM. Dungeons and the Zelda feel to the game are dead in Botw. Tears of the kingdom should be better but still the gameplay isn’t the same
Cant belive I wasted 28 minutes of my life with this list OOT should have been higher the MJ Mask both should have been at least top 5 as well with a link to the past, BOTW and wind waker with twilight princess at 6, skyward sword7 7, links awakening 8, Minish cap 9, and the first Zelda at 10.
I do know that this is your opinion but Jesus this hurt to watch 😂
My goodness... what a trash list.
Oracle of ages (and 9 other games) over both Link to the Past AND Ocarina of time?
Wow... It's sheer curiosity that's keeping me watching at this point.
Unpopular opinion botw loses out for no unique bosses in the dungeons just best explorer game ...no order for top 5 oot,WW,SwS,TP,MM 6.is botw just because it's more collecting than anything else if u get 70% of 100% of completion just collecting korok seeds for a pile of gold crap can't be number 1
My ranking of all the ones I've had the opportunity to 100%. All fantastic tho, seriously, ignore everyone being rude haha
16. Four Swords
15. Phantom Hourglass
14. Zelda II
13. Ocarina of Time
12. The Legend of Zelda
11. Link to the Past
10. Spirit Tracks
9. Majora's Mask
8. Tears of the Kingdom
7. Oracle of Seasons
6. Link's Awakening
5. Oracle of Ages
4. Breath of the Wild
3. Link Between Worlds
2. The Minish Cap
1. The Oracle Games (some people count them as one, as a package deal, they are #1)
Seasons and Link to the Past were my childhood and it hurts seeing them so low :(
Im sorry but respectfully your list s*cked lol first of all how in the world is BOTW first when it doesn't even have dungeons like its got 4 giant shrines for "dungeons" those aren't dungeons imo thats just disrespectful to the other zelda games and on top of that the final boss is so incredibly mid like seriously? Specially compared to other zelda bosses and the sword combat is so basic and boring a huge downgrade from Twilight princess yeah sorry man i disagree with most of ur list
This guy actually had OoT at 11. Lol take this list down bro😂😂😂😂
This is the worst Zelda list I have ever seen absolutely brutal lol
