Proud to had the opportunity with helping out with three big boffo it's been a journey to come up with the correct build for the job. I fish with nearly all Yakrods now. By next season, I will have nothing but Yakrods in my arsenal. Fantastic rods!

@@ChadHooverFishing Probably the Black Line finesse rod. I "power" finesse fish and that thing has handled not only big bass but giant bycatches, like catfish, northern pike, and carp.

I am a machinist in training and I have weekends off.
I get up at 4:00-4:30 on my off days to fish. I have a old pelican I bought online . But it’s like my calm spot. Just started back about a year ago. We lost our 19 year old son and it has been tough .
But I have a four year old daughter who is my world . Hope to soon get her out with me . She is ready ,lol.
Your videos are what I watch with a few others when I’m not on the water .

Very sorry to hear about your lose. 19 is so young and so much to look forward to. It is so peaceful out there fishing. Keep your head up and stay strong. Hopefully your little girl will develop a love for fishing. I have 2 young daughters and hope they develop a love for it. Stay strong brother 👊🏻

Good call on the fire starter I get small tubes from stretch wrap at my work and I stuff them with dryer lint….same exact concept and they work great!

#yakrods Chad you are mostly responsible for me getting into kayak fishing. In fact this is my first year competing. My first tournament was the KBF Trail Series in Lake Havasu. It was a blast. I finished in the middle of the pack. Not great, but not horrible for my first time. Now I'm hooked 😉. I've recently been researching swimbait rods and I'm really liking the looks of these. I would love to win the Big Boffo. That thing looks pretty sweet. Thanks for the inspiration, and the opportunity to win one of these rods. #yakrods

Just got into kayak fishing. I’ve always fished growing up with my dad and his brothers but basically their idea of fishing was a flatbottom, nylon string and milk jugs. So I’m looking at all these different rods and saying what the heck!! So thanks for the video mabey I can figure it out.

Being more of a shore fisherman, I too have never heard of YakRods #YakRods, until I started watching your RUclips channel. I can clearly see a place in my rod lineup for a few of their rods. After looking at their site, my first choice of a rod would be the The Foundation | Jigs · Spinnerbaits · Topwater rod. Would be a perfect rod to use off of our 100 ft dock. Thanks for the great content. Keep it coming!!

I figured for crappie, brem,don't need anything special. But I like how they make one for small fish.
Yak Rods Big Boffo #yakrods good stuff! I have noticed one hook point fast/extra fast, 3 hook points or light wire moderate.
Never heard of the #YakRods. Im basically a weekend warrior when it comes to fishing. Looking at getting into a kayak and off the banks. Thanks brother for what your doing! Im a US Navy brat and a retired USAF vetetan. Dad was a MM1 for 32yrs, btother was a BSM2 8yrs, sister was a YM3, 3yrs.Again, thank you for your service too!

Good info on #YakRods. I’ve been using Bass Pro Qualifiers to replace rods as needed. Will now take a hard look at the #YakRods - like the line guides - very unique and interesting!

Looks like an impressive fishing rod brand. I wouldn’t mind trying a spinner bait style rod. That’s the lures I have the most luck with so far. Thank you for your videos just purchased a pdl120 to start the kayak fishing lifestyle. #yakrods
#yakrods is a great company! Their rods just feel natural in the hand. They have come in clutch for the tournaments up here in Washington. Next on my list is that Big Boffo!

As a sit in kayak fisherman I prefer my rods slightly shorter than 6'. Easier to grab my fish, less tree issues though I know I am sacrificing cast length and power. Anyway cool video, looked like Christmas!

This is the first I’ve heard of YakRods, they’re a little rich for my blood at this point in time but boy would I love to have one as I recently snapped the tip off my only “nice” rod. I don’t have any heavy rods so their Black Line | Frog · Flip · Small Swimbaits would fill a nice gap in my arsenal #yakrods

I have the xchatter rod from them. I have dobyns rods for just about everything else. Want to get another but just don't know which on to get. Which fishing technique rod were you most impressed by.

While fishing from a kayak it has significantly less resistance in the water compared to a big boat so fish, mostly larger ones can more easily pull you while fighting them back to the kayak. With that said I've wondered. Is it more beneficial to have more slow or moderate action rods? Or is it opposite & faster is better for keeping the fish peeged on your hook? Obviously the type of baits & hook style will change that but overall. What a action do you think is better overall??
It’s an interesting question so a moderate rod would work best for your question. Personally, I would focus a lot more on boat position to avoid relying on the rods action to compensate for that much movement
@@ChadHooverFishing of course. I'm not relying on any rods like that. Just in general with have more movement & less resistance in water. Something I've thought about... I always fish to one of my sides or at a 45ish° angle. So I have more solid hook sets. Obviously kayaks are made to cut through water so I don't fish straight ahead of me for that reason. positioning has been made alot easier sense I've had my pa12-360.

I currently have the x-chatter rod and will be getting more. You most certainly use the yakrods for boat or bank. The market for kayak mostly because of the tether. I also take mine even if I'm beating the bank.

Yakrods #yakrods I've never had much luck with swim baits but would love to spend more time on learning. I'm from Canada btw, kayak fishing is really picking up here. I started 6 years ago and would hardly see anyone out fishing in a kayak. Now we have actual kayak groups and tournaments because it has blown up.
