Kelly, THANK YOU for this video, very informative and helpful. I am a fellow PT, recently diagnosed with breast cancer. My former massage therapist who is also certified in lymphatic drainage sent the link to me. I am so glad that she did. I started looking at bras yesterday and there a ton out there. The only guidance I was given thus far is to get a heavy duty sport bra but that will have a thick band so I am thankful for your video. You helped narrow down what to look for based on my diagnosis and type of surgery. I look forward to viewing your other videos.

@@karenlunda43 it realy can be overwhelming! this video is multiple year old but I still most often get my patients Prairie wear bra for compression and love AnaOno for something gentle on the skin.🙂 I’m sending you my very best!!

You are Godsend! I am in tears watching your videos. I went to a Lymphedema therapist for a while after lumpectomy surgeries and radiation. It was extremely helpful, but had to stop at a point due to scheduling issues. I was ok for couple of months but now it has gotten worse. Swelling, Pain, neuropathy the full package 😭 i cant wait to start shopping for bras! Thank you so much for all this info. ❤️❤️❤️

When I had had surgery and the radiation I did not wear a bra. I wore bandage held on by the gauze elastic panties with the crotch cut out. It wasn't glamorous but it was comfortable.

Thank you for this. I was given no guidance or option for ofter care following surgery, radiation and chemo. I had bilateral surgery with lymph node removal. Through every phase of treatment I asked what kind of bra I should wear. The oncologists would tell me to wear whatever was comfortable. I told them nothing was comfortable so they told be to wear my post op bra, which is too big now. I still suffer needlessly because I am not wearing the right bra for my needs. Now I know this, thanks to you.💝

An excellent presentation, thank you so much.
Mastectomy of my right breast was done five months ago, am healing well after radiation.
My problem is that the left breast is so big and with the prostheses in the normal bra on the right side, it's uneven.
Sports bras are no good as the left breast actually comes out.

Can you cover a compression bra for a seroma after lumpectomy, to wear after aspiration so that the seroma will not come back.

Broken medical system did this to me (moral of story: DO NOT GET IMPLANTS!!)
I had implants that just about killed me, so I had them removed by a specialist. On my way home from my tube removal appointment, I slid on black ice and hit a car pile-up. The seatbelt smashed my tender tissue, and as it healed, most of the little tissue I had left, migrated over to my side. It’s been hurting very badly since. It didn’t help that I’m that side, I had a chest wall infection pseudomonas aeriginosa, which caused extreme pain for 8 weeks until my incision festered, and they did a culture. No one believed me about the pain and they gave me ONE Tylenol in the ER, and sent me home. Later, after the culture came back, they rushed me to the ER, pumped me full of cipro, and gave me pain shots and meds.

My chest wall is so painful 6 years later. If my bra is too tight it will take days for it to go away. I have large breasts and had lumpectomy. Any suggestions??
