Abandoned: Toys R Us - North Charleston, SC (2 Years Later)

- What's good everyone?! Today's video brings me back out to North Charleston, SC, at the site of a place I covered 2 years ago. This abandoned Toys R Us closed in June 2018, a few days after the newer Babies R Us a few miles up the road. To my knowledge, the building has not been reused as any other business since its closure, and it continues to remain vacant. A few minor changes have been made since my previous video 2 years ago. The front windows were removed, and the walls were knocked down. Several new boards of plywood were nailed over the front entrances, ensuring that no one was able to get inside. The Kids R Us label scar was painted over as well. I don't know what the future holds for this building, but if nothing else goes on here I'll continue to look forward to reminiscing on one of my former childhood Toys R Us stores.

Hey Zee! The empty lot behind toys r us near that small sign was formerly the Regal 10 Cinema. I think it was recently demolished.
Oh wow! I wish I could have filmed it before it was demolished.

Thank you very much for your support! It's funny because I watched your video after and saw that you went to the back. I filmed my video back in February, and I didn't realize that the building went that far. If I have the chance to film it a few years down the road, I'll be sure to check that part out.

My grandma used to take me amd my sister there after school 😢
I can relate to this. My mom and several other family members took me to this store. Sad to see it gone.
Dude I grew up in the apartments behind here. Walked up and around all the time. I miss that dollar movie theater and the arcade that was there. Last time I was up they had removed a ton of the golf course too

Ah yes, the dark, Army green colored buildings. I remember them as well. Not sure what exactly happened to the company.

Man, that’s sad to see. I worked there briefly in the summer of 1997. I recall there was Morrison’s Cafeteria, Play It Again Sports and All-American Deli in that same plaza or nearby. There was another large anchor store that I can’t remember. A large drug store, I think.

That place was my childhood 😢
This one was part of my childhood as well. It still feels a little weird filming it knowing that I had been in there only a few years ago, before it closed for good. I'd love to go in there one final time and see what was left behind.
