Thank you for this. I'm coming back to DotA from a 5 year break, and morph was always one of my favorite heroes. Never picked him much because I was shit with him and since I had more consistent 1s in my arsenal I never bothered really practice with him. I'm gonna figure him out this time around!

I used to play Morphling before the adaptive strike/ult changes and I absolutely loved the Hero! After the rework, my muscle memory was confused with these new hotkeys and I could never figure out what the old ones were until this video! Hi bsj thank you for this video. I am starting morphling now. Just a quick question i play legacy keys in general. Do you sugget playing non legacy on morph and stay on legacy? Really hard with legacy but when playing non legacy its easier to morph but then the hotkeys on the hero gets harder on there hotkeys. Thank you so much

I remember one game I had as morphling where I was sitting at relatively low hp and decided to go on a low hp puck in front of me I waveformed adaptive striked then morphed into him and started spamming silence but for some reason puck's orb was on q and his ethereal jaunt was on w. I just kept spamming w thinking it would silence because all of my hotkeys are on default and killed myself and it was the most tilting thing ever
Usually I'll stick to default so that it won't easily mess up for me

It's still like this, pucks abilities are all different keys than my main Puck, but everything else (other heroes) is the same anyone in the comment section know how to fix this

Considering the fact that when I’m picking morphing safelane I can’t see enemy saf laner pick or when I’m mid I can’t see enemy midlander pick is it good at all to pick morph?
Depends on your current skill bracket, but usually it's a bad practice: there are a few hard counters in midlane who can burst you down early to mid game. If talking about safelane, your morph pick can be countered by heroes you gonna have trouble killing like pl or am.

You can still be a metamorphed morph if you shift queue meta and morph
I only play Morphling. Exact way to kill PL in late game: make aghanims, manta and mljoinr.
Sequence: morph into pl, use manta third and first. When PL use third and manta then go reverse back to morphling and wave.
PLEASE UPDATE FOR CURRENT MORPHLING! With him being so big as of current this is a necessity.
tbh the best way to learn morph is to play him on almost full agi on safelane(you need about 64 dmg to be able to properly lh). beeing low hp gets you easily killed, but its the fastest way to learn to keep your distance, and instantly react to enemies movement. you learn very quickly how far away your supposed to stay etc.
I always get killed early game so i usually come in with bkb.
Fun hero, but there are many things that annoys morph, i mean those same things that annoy any hero, but it is 10 times the case for him, cause dying is a luxury for him.
The morphling meta trick still works BSJ, no need for the "used to"

I have no idea how to guage how much I need......I just set it at the lowest str possible plus a little cushion...... basically the entire match is trying to maintain a tiny sliver of health and not dieing.....
Im noob but I'm finding out after a few months morphing is one of the few hero's that's fun to play because it's so versatile......so much attack speed and mobility at the beginning it's immediately useful,good for farming and popping in and out of fights......
Other hero's is like a snooze fest where u do nothing except farm for the first 15 minutes or it's so limited like it can only cast spells and be support whereas morphing can do almost anything from tank,absorbing enemy damage and taking up their attention while ur team pounds them.....or do tons of damage in teamfights or one on one......and u dictate the terms......whether to withdraw or keep engaging the enemy.....

In case you didn't watch the whole thing yet. He said you can learn it at any MMR but you will suffer a lot in your first few games bc you always play on the edge of death. You have to play him a bunch and get comfortable because any misclicked button can mean you can't get a kill or you just die. You should watch the entire video to know if Morphling's for you.

I have a agree with clumsy net it’s by far the best neutral for morph with the 5 attributes and 2 mana regen

Imho e-blade is such a shit item now that is has been nerfed again and again. To me it's worth buyin it on morph only if they have 3+ really squishy heroes and if u can freefarm and get it before min 15, otherwise it's almost garbage.

Make sure that you get all the game Mechanics down first. At least at a basic level. It must not be that you read or see a word and have no idea what so ever, what it means. You might not need to know that one point of strenght gives any hero exactly 20 HP and 0,1 HP regen per second. But you need to know that Strenght gives health and passivly heals. You must not know that Euls Scepter spins you up for exactly 2,5 seconds, but you need to know that it debuffs you and you need to know what debuffing is good and bad for. And that debuffing is called dispelling ;) You get the picture...
Especially Heroes that do manipulate Stats or change the values of any given rate or status (those would be Dragon Knight, Morphling, Slark, Undying, Silencer, Timbersaw, Drow Ranger, Vengeful Spirit, Invoker, Necrophos and a few others. I ignored bonus values from talents, because they are ecentially like Items) really need a thorough understanding of what happens when and why.
Not to speak of the Items. They come next.
After that, learn what the individual heroes do and what Items they need to be effective and when that usually happens. Both allies and opponents are important.
If you feel comfortable, because you realise what you did wrong or right, when things happen, you can expand to Heroes that require "skill" and actual training.
There is absolutely no sense in training Hookshots with Clockwerk, when you are constantly trying to hit Naix, Akasha, Magina or Yurnero. I am sure, you know who those are and why that is by now ;)

At 13:00 when you were explaining about the Agi shift regen, you were in the fountain aura range and were healing the missing HP anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose of what you were trying to teach. I kind of understood what you were trying to say but you execution was horrible and would confuse entry level player for morphling a lot.

Pl is not that hard of a counter I got around 300 games with morph...get mailstom after boots morbid and a wand ....and engage him when he is alone ......is easy to kill early game also that game better go midlane ....and a bkb is a must don't get greedy

Yes it does - he is telling you, that in order to learn you should learn more simple heroes first, such that you Can understand morphling if you ever want to play that hero later.
