My next laser will be the S30 Pro Max 20watt. I have air assist on my old machine but the number of times I have forgot to turn air on for cutting after engraving. Just to have it automated would be brilliant. Well done Sculpfun for introducing this feature. I do wish the input for power and usb where on the side of the control box though.
I’m about to purchase mine as well. I have an old 2.4w on my cnc. I can’t wait to be able to cut and engraved with some depth. Just remodeled my shop to make room fore it!
@@Cons2911 I just ordered it. I’ll let you know. My experience is get the biggest you can afford. My little laser is good for engraving, but it won’t cut. I put a stain on a board and when dry I put borax dissolved in water. It burns nice and dark, then I spray seal it. If I don’t use borax it’s takes for ever to get a dark burn. More power=more speed. The ability to cut let’s be do layered stuff. My cnc router can do it, but there’s a lot of sanding that follows.

You need to set the limit switches correctly in the software. For most 3d printers routers laser and plasma machines you have a hard limit (the actual switches) and a soft limit how much travel from your hard limit the gantry has or how much you want it to have. Also if your encoders or motors are backwards you may have to invert the numbers for setting machine zero ie. if it reads -35.074 and instead because it's swapped it's really 35.074. That is if the software allows it to be swapped.
We do not have 30W, and the maximum power of our laser is 20W. But 20W laser is very heavy, it can only be used on the S30 Pro Max machine. You can choose the 10W laser module of S10/S30
My S6 pro is getting swapped out for the S30 pro 10w, hopefully before Christmas it will arrive. Please tell me that the consumable lenses are widely available? As they was the only issue I’ve had with my S6.

hi great video. i have just bought a s30 but the y axis goes up when should be down and my homing switches are fixed to the left bottom corner but it goes to the upper right corner. ive looked on lots of websites and facebook groups but whatever i seem to try dosent work, any help you could give me please would be appreciated.thankyou

I found one problem? Do not tie the air pump cable with power and USB cable together? because when you come to actually use the air pump in LightBurn, it shuts down the laser when air pump come's on. I've built mine with the cables and pump underneath the desk and this is why I tied all of the cables together??

Yeah I mean technically you could add any laser head that you want as long as the gantry will support the weight... That is if you know what you need to do involving a relay and a separate power supply for the new laser.

I bought s30 ultra 22watts, and run it. But I found difficulties, why the laser result different to the design on computer screen. The size and messed up. Either I drawed circle, it came up oval. Any advice?

The air pump of the automatic air assist system will only be turned on when the machine is working.
