It did come out PERFECTLY, too! If anyone suggests using the microwave tray for bacon again, I’m going to ask them to have their head examined. You can wait 15 minutes (in my case it was 13, I didn’t have the thick cut, just the regular cut Oscar Mayer, and by the way, the slices didn’t stick to the mesh air fryer rack one BIT, I was able to remove them cleanly with my HAND, didn’t even need the spatula, and cleanup of the grates was a breeze!)

Your voice was not monotone or irritating at all, good job on that! My friend, what is this magic you speak of ??? Damp paper towels reducing smoke!?! Thank you for the 'pointer' . . God's Peace and Blessings, sir
**Edited... wanted to mention that my tray had clean aluminum foil in it from an earlier use. I left the foil in place and added the magic 🤣 over the foil. After seeing how saturated the paper towel became, I think I'm going to continue the use of the foil beneath the ppr towels to reduce greasy cleanup afterwards.

I tried this and then figured out a MUCH easier and better way, which is the same way I do it in my regular oven: Use the baking pan by itself lined with parchment paper, bake at 325º for about 20 minutes. Same texture as air frying it, but no smoke, no need for the wet/damp paper towel, clean up is much easier and quick- takes seconds (just throw away the parchment paper), and you get to keep the bacon fat to use in other recipes! Cheers!

The majority of grease always came out when removing the paper towels, it always made cleanup easy for me. It has never been my desire to eat more pork fat.
But I now take a much different path:

@@WaveOvenRecipes lots of great things you covered in that video! For the past 14 years, I've been getting my pork from a farmer who pasture raises them (he lets them graze on their garden in the fall too). I would never use bacon fat from a factory farmed pig (I don't eat factory farmed pork products), but I save and use it from the pasture raised pigs. Cheers!

Oh, also, in my previous comment, did I mention I had 3 layers? Definitely part of the reason for it being messier for me. I did have to take them all out and move them around several times, and also the reason the ends cooked more than the centers. We had already decided perhaps it's better for just a few slices and not the whole 24oz pack!

Not as well as this and it can still cause some excess grease throughout the microwave. Which can be pretty messy cleaning.
