Hi Darnell, I love your tips and tricks on using the Ninja Pro XL oven. I would have never thought to use damp paper towels, thank you for this tip. I just got my oven for Christmas. Keep the videos coming. And thank you!
I tried this and then figured out a MUCH easier and better way, which is the same way I do it in my regular oven: Use the baking pan by itself lined with parchment paper, bake at 325º for about 20 minutes. Same texture as air frying it, but no smoke, no need for the wet/damp paper towel, clean up is much easier and quick- takes seconds (just throw away the parchment paper), and you get to keep the bacon fat to use in other recipes! Hi D. Thank you again for another amazing video i have been following after i bought my air fryer a couple years ago, all the tips have been very helpful!
Oh, also, in my previous comment, did I mention I had 3 layers? Definitely part of the reason for it being messier for me. I did have to take them all out and move them around several times, and also the reason the ends cooked more than the centers. We had already decided perhaps it's better for just a few slices and not the whole 24oz pack!
Works great. BUT if you do a second batch be sure and use a new set of wt paper towels. The first batch will get dried out after the 13 min an may smell funky@
