Thought I was having a solenoid issue...checked terminals, power source & lights...random guy gave me a jump start. I'll be getting the battery replaced this weekend!😊 thanks! Subscribed
I so appreciate this. I broke the wiring for my light setup and it ran like that for maybe possibly a week or a lil more before i noticed and now its disconnected but now it wont start and im getting that same clicking noise so this is much appreciated
It’s 10:38 at night and I got work tomorrow and I just tried to start my car to look for stuff and it was doing this and wouldn’t start. It’s been struggling to start for about a week now. I suspected the starter. I haven’t even thought about the battery. I roof. I’m no mechanic
For me, my truck wouldn’t start because the alternator belt came loose and wasn’t keeping the engine alive, then my truck overheated because I kept trying to start it with no luck
@@dmaninthewall yeah had to replace the alternator and the harmonic balancer, and figured out that the fan(attached to a wheel that the belt runs over) was loose so that cause a little overheating. It’s a 93 Sierra so it’s a pretty capable truck, got it running and it’s good
So I tried starting my car and I k ew my batter was low so I checked the voltage and it was at 9.46 volts so I connected 2 sets of jumper cables and left them connected for about 15 minutes with my 2017 jeep Wrangler running. I had my wife rev the motor to 2,000 rmp while I tried starting it but no start. I tried a few times but same thing. I checked the voltage while cables were connected and it was reading over 13 volts when but still no start when I removed the cable the old batter was reading 11.32 volts. Tomorrow I will try with new battery.
There was some Bluey white powder around one of my battery terminals though. I could brush and blow it away. On a separate issue. My key does not lock the drivers side door of my A3 I have to open it manually. Other side is fine. Any ideas?
Oxidised copper on the terminal, they need to be cleaned with some contact cleaner, if the corrosion is heavy best to wire brush gently and contact clean both terminals
Immediately heard the noise, knew that was my problem. Battery replaced, vehicle running. Rhanks man.
This channel is great! No long blah, blah, blah....just straight to the solution. Keep up the outstanding service and information!!!

Thanks for the info got a battery charge and it solved the problem, great and a simple resolution!
thank you for your example, that rapid clicking is exactly what is happening to my van, my battery was at 11.60 volts
Thanks for putting my mind at rest. I got a jump start from some kind guys. Bloody hard to steer it on to the slope though.
Thanks again.
Great job. You really know what you are talking about!

Thanks for getting straight to the point.
Thank you for this video!
Have this issue now, I think its a bad starter, my battery is new and I drive almost daily, just has to be the starter.
Did it end up being that? I’m having the same issue as you lol
@@DaisyNCullen what was the issue guys?
Thank you brother!
Thanks for making this video. It was very informative.
Just got a new battery and new alternator. New starter motor but still making this noise. What else should I look for?
Thank you for sharing this info :)
tysm! I had this same sound and I was able to fix my car.
Awesome video. Thank you brother!
What if the starter battery n alternator are new n it does the same rapid clicking
If power cable to starter is really hard then it could be corroded inside the insulation cause low voltage
motor could be seized
Definitely subscribed thanks bro
Good video. What is actually clicking? Thx
If possible the other causes of a battery going dead ?
Thank you for posting a video with the actual sounds.

Changed battery and starter ..still makes that loud clicking noise ..my only other options would be the alternator….
Same problem with Ford KA new batery but stil not starting. Not even going on
OK, but the battery terminals are clean. The battery is OK and he replaced the starter. What else could it be?

Yo alternator
Did you ever fix it? I did the things as you
Mine has a brand new battery, 2011 SsangYong Korando. Anyone know how to fix this? It starts most of the time but sometimes makes that noise.
Thanks Dad!

I ran my vehicle through a massive amount of water and this is the sound it makes starting to turn on.
😸👍
I am sure the battery terminals are loose.
This is click bait!
