The early 2000’s were the best of times, with things like Harry Potter, LOTR, Spider-Man, X-Men, and PlayStation, and the worst of times with things like September 11th and the War on Terror, along with for me personally our family being kicked out of the apartment I was born into, being forced to move into a new town where the teachers could be cruel, and the traumatic loss of my grandmother

I love pretty much every decade before the trash of 2010+ but the more I think about it the more I realize how beautiful and special the 00s were. There was something very vibrant about that time. Creatively booming, devs were trying new things with games, incredible time for music, the debut of the killers, the sounds - dying to say this to you album, nintendocore, Beck made an album using a modded gameboy as an instrument, synths were used in music to inject serotonin into your brain, halo partys all over the place. Technology boost without ruining the minds of people with social media and smart phones. Everything about this decade was just feel good so much fun, I miss it!

The mental and emotional stimulation provided by the challenges of life are no longer there. Everything is just a click away.

@@itsthecamaroguy Yeah HipHop was definitely better in the 90s. But yeah, I definitely enjoyed 2000s rock much more than 90s rock. 90s rock music seemed so corny and watered down. Seem like the 2000s it got its edge back. Overall I think 90s music was much better, especially HipHop and R&B.

@@thegamingchef3304 yea I definitely agree with rock in 2000s improving. Went from grunge and the “world is a vampire” to often relatable lyrics and overall better sounding. I wouldn’t agrue with hiphop and R&B though. You got people like Ginuwine who made some real good R&B. The only one who even comes close in my opinion, is Omarion. I think rock and pop though, is where the 2000s really shined. So many iconic songs a lot of people know still despite some of the early songs being 20+ years old now.

Gaming started to feel "down hill" when the PS3 and WII came out. The PS3 was promoted first as a blu-ray player and the WIi was a very disposable fad.
