I graduated in1989 .Everyone back then dressed Nice had respect for the teachers and school as a whole.I miss that time. I wish my class at Leto High school would have done a video. Some of my class mates have already passed away. I can't believe how fast time flies. Thank you for sharing.
i was in high school at that time myself in Oklahoma, this reminds me of how cute those small town girls were and also how adult our teachers seemed, im pushing 60 and still dont feel like an adult.
Wow. Exactly how I remember it. Wind, Jordan, Noel, Dishman, Marshall and Guidry! The best part is watching all the students walk pass the camera as they leave the hall. This is gold. It is incredible to be able to capture a piece of time. Thanks for sharing!
@FUCKINGENIOUS Listen to “Nothing’s gonna stop us now” by Starship (the chart topper of 1987) vs “Lovin’ on Me” by Jack Harlow (the chart topper of today)… …And you’ll see what I mean
Nowadays every kid has an advanced high-res video camera in their pocket. Yet, I'm betting that in 30 years from now, you won't find any of these videos online from their generation.
A lifelong memory captured forever. This was really cool….we all wish we would have done this back then. Kids now have the tech in their phones which is such a blessing for capturing these moments. Just wish we all spent less time on them.
Thank you for uploading this! I don't know what my senior year will look like this year or if I'll ever get to walk the halls at nhs ever again but this video has definitely helped with the boredom during quarantine. It puts a smile on my face!
2:10 - he answers this will air when he gets a tv station. It’s amazing, who would have thought the Internet would become what it has, having a place to share and view videos from across time and throughout the world. (i.e. having your own tv station.)
Not true. There would only be that special individual who owned a cam corder which costed $1K at that time and it was very expensive. If that person had a camera, it would be kind of a special occasion and went along with it.
wow, I was 22 when this was taped and Im Canadian, so cool to watch this stuff. we all looked the same in the 80s in North America lmao, oh and by the way that girl at the end with the Hardrock shirt on is friggen adorable!!!! hope she and all the rest of the kids here have watch this. great time capsule Rich.
Watching this video 📸📸 takes me back to my childhood memories in the 80s ,I was eleven years old . There might not have been the greatest technology in the 80s ,but if you really noticed in all these kids that a lot of the kids respected being in school with their teachers and had a lot of respect for staff compared to the kids now they just don't care
NHS Class of 89 here🙋♀️ Wow!! What a trip! So neat Deena Johnny Krautz & hilarious! Those Country country accents..."are you TAPING" I see some 89ers 😬 Those cars lol & I remember those lunch ladies. Who "taped" this?
I do remember thinking this was the future "1987" good times, social media come along and made people unruly, damaged by the consistent need for greed, beefing bro, video hoes. Don't grow up to be the kind of person you hated when you were younger... these kids already are those people...not all of them.
As a class of 86' graduate, this is the best 80's HS video on RUclips. It's a shame it doesn't have more views. I think that would change if you corrected your title.
now they parents or grand parents ..we all got f*n old loved those tight jeans on those cute hot tall guys🥰💞 ahhhh good ole days & youth was, i was in high school in 80s till 89
The girls all dressed like they were on their way to a job interview at Sharper Image. The dudes all dressed like they were on their way to paint a house.
Adulthood really sucks ,specially when you were a teen in the 80s, these days is all about money ,money , and antisocial media, I miss my teen years in the 80s, wish I had a time machine
High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lb overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and overtime went blind

These kids we so chill, down to earth, and full of life.
Damn this place is so different from when I went last year. Everyone actually didn’t fight every 2 seconds
Thank you so much for uploading this footage! I've always loved the 80s and wondered what it was like to live in that decade.
The best hair and the best music, the 80s were awesome.
Way to rub it in--Gen Z'ers like me are stuck with overprocessed copied-and-pasted EDM shit

@@Thunderlion-yd4nvJefferson airplane was better than starship 60s and 70s music was better overall

Was supposed to graduate with this class of 87 in Nederland .But parents moved me to Arkansas in my senior year . Recognize many in this video .
Did you know the blonde girl in the "Hardrock Houston" shirt?
Nederland🇳🇱 means netherlands🇳🇱. Why they call this school the Netherlands?
Students are always excited to be graduating and then 6 months later they wish they could go back.
This is when people recorded everyone else, and now people record themselves. This society has become completely narcissistic

Before the internet and cell phones killed social skills!
I can tell that Rich was a popular dude
The kids used to look and act older than their age back then. Nowadays it is the opposite.
All I can say is OZZY kicked ass then, and still kicks ass,,, STRANGEWAYS,,class of 87, cltn,ca.
These students are now in their 50s......teachers are near 80 or better..
Class of 97. Cool to look back at NHS. I know I recognized Mrs. Jordan and maybe Mrs. Reynolds (English). Don't know any students obviously.

This is a american🇺🇸 highschool not a highschool in the Netherlands 🇳🇱...
This is Nederland, Texas, a small city founded by Dutch immigrants around 1900
my birthday is june 22 I am 22 years old not 11.
Cover girl❤️❤️❤️
(Colorado or Texas)

What exactly was the culture here in this high school and town. What was the demographics graduation requirements
High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lb overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and overtime went blind
Now to count the "life was better with no smartphones" comments.
It was though.
Your jump cut editing sucks.
