I was just born at the time of the video in the 90’s. Life happens and times just change, this was refreshing to see, and reminded me that we not gonna be young forever.
Everybody comments on how "no one had phones" and "look at them socializing and being friendly and talkative" but what's stopping you from doing that now?
Me, I can do that. But, can my classmates? I would actually like to talk to them without them having the phone, but this is the 2019 generation. It’s not happening.
I feel like this puts us back in time because we remember all the personalities shown in the video. We were once those kids with all of those dreams, thinking we had so much time. I graduated in 2011. Although I love being an adult, this reminds me of times that weren't so bad and less worries. More simplicity. I hate that life changes our dreams so much. Shifting us apart. If there are any young ones watching this, hold onto your dreams. No point of "being realistic" and enjoy because life as you once knew it, won't be the same or feel the same. But it can be a beautiful thing if you allow it to be. Perspective will always be important.

damnnn i wish i was born w this generation. everyone was so close and friendly and social. nowadays people are so quick to judge u for even trying to talk to them or be friends w them.
I mean u gotta take into account that these people have known eachother for a while and are friends. They’re close and friendly because they’re friends. It’s not gonna be like that with everyone you meet on the street.

I graduated in ‘94. That last day of school was dreamlike. No more school after today and the world is now wide open! The fact that everybody knew how to interact and express themselves in an almost poetic way made the experience that much better. Young people today just need to change some habits up with social media and video games. The rest will come naturally. You are still young but won’t stay that way.. go have at it. 🤷♂️
It's nothing to do with technology. I finished high school in 2018. When you're in your last year of high everyone is like this with each other in their year group, because they've grown to know one another over the five years of high school, or even in some cases they've known some of their classmates for their entire schooling (13 years). In your last year and ESPECIALLY the last day everyone who is leaving is so well introduced with everyone and has gained a higher respect for the school, teachers and classmates. Technology has nothing to do with it. If you've finished high school, and I mean actually finished at 18 without dropping out. Not everyone can say they've finished, its a special feeling. I hated school, I hated being there, but in the last year, you've matured and realised this isn't forever, I will make out of this what I can. I can bet everyone in their last year (year 13) of high school will act like pictured in the video until the end of time.
While I was in Japan I dated a Chinese girl who moved to Japan and she spoke both languages. I helped her learn a little bit of English but the relationship couldn't carry on because I missed America. She was such an amazing soul.

I was fucking baffled.
My last day of high school was in 1997. This was how it was. It was so casual and laidback, and everyone was kind to each other. I don't know what happened in this world to cause people to treat each other so badly and value a thing over a person's life.

This brought back memories. I graduated in 95’ and this was definitely the vibes back then.
