    Man the only part I wanted to see was you actually prying the axle out and of course it’s the thing you skip. I’ve tried everything and can’t get it out, I’m feel like I’m gonna break the transmission case if I get anymore violent with it. And I live in GA so no rust. I have no idea why it won’t come out.

      Have you tried using a slide hammer with a inner CV joint adapter?

    20:53 im unclear on whether or not these three bolts need to be removed. Ive removed the top and bottom right one. My bottom left one just turns with the entire bracket. This is the only place where I think my transmission is still connected

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  2 года назад

      Try using a socket and opened on both sides to break it loose or 2 sockets if you have it, you dont technicallyneed to remove the bracket just the arm to it but removing the trans out the bay is gonna be tricky.
      Also check on the bottom where the trans meets the block, there might be a black flywheel block off plate held by 1 10mm bolt to the block. On my DX hatch it didn't have that plate but on my Lxi it did and that 1 10mm held the whole trans lol.

    Do you need to remove all this to change the clutch?

    You can skip a lot of work taking the axles out by removing tierod, lower ball joint and the long 17 in the fork and pull the lower fork towards you and take out the axle

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  3 года назад

      I don't have a turbo manifold atm lol. A German company called Mosselman used to make one specifically for our chassis but no longer does. Making one custom is the easiest option.

      Unbolt the transmission from the bellhousing to remove the transmission from the block or remove the bolts connecting the half case to the bellhousing? I don't fully understand your question.

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  3 года назад +2

      I recommend you watch my engine swap video if you haven't already. In short yes you can, its not easy compared to a B swap. Being automatic could make it a little harder as far as wiring goes as well.
