New Thermostat with Housing Assembly from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AEMX00350
The thermostat controls the flow of coolant in your vehicle’s engine. When a thermostat fails, it can lead to overheating, which will damage the engine. One sign of a faulty thermostat is a cool upper radiator hose when the engine is at full operating temperature. It’s important to replace the thermostat immediately if you suspect it is failing. This video shows you how to install a new TRQ thermostat and housing in your 2004-2012 Chevy Colorado.

I've seen a few of these just to familiarize myself with the location of the part and so on. This was the best one I've seen. Steps were clear. Changing a t-stat on an engine you've never worked on before, it's nice to know where things are located. Most t-stat changes are pretty straightforward but not like it was back when I worked on cars (40 years ago).

Thanks for the video guys! Very helpful! But, by any chance do you all know where the ambient temp sensor is so the temp on my rear view mirror can read accurately?

Nice video. But, my 3.7 has the thermostat on the passenger side of the engine. Can't access it from the wheel well.
