I've heard and seen multiple Bosses insane kill times using Thorium's sword sheathe for months, I'm glad you finally show its true power, it is truly "perfectly balanced".
it's pretty powerful, but honestly combat typically boils down to "hold down M1, aim, and survive", so really anything that spices things up a little is good.
I'm so happy that Thorium mod got more recognition after being ported to 1.4 tmod

I think the sword sheathe is fine but needs to be made for only true melee attacks, as charging the sheathe and using it to increase the damage of a projectile seems a bit to strong.
Huh i thought that they would remove sword projectiles but increase your sword size and damage greatly

I use the titan slayer sheath with the hack and slash effect from overhaul on calamity bosses and its pretty satisfying watching health bars melt
a very nice showcase! question though- where did you get your boss HP readout? maybe im just missing it, but I have no readout for health, percentage or actual, and it would be nice to have such a thing.

To balance them a bit maybe it would require you to not get hit at all and heck, maybe double the cooldown
These definitely don't look like they're too powerful, especially with how close both Wall and Plantera's fights were. The fact that it only counts for True Melee hits is a major plus, since in Hardmode you tend to rely on sword projectiles way more than actually hitting, so that extra damage helps balance the danger of true melee with the safety of the projectiles.
This is fun to combo with q mod called weapon enchantments that has a enchant that makes melee do like 4x damage but 4x slower attack speed
I think the sheaths would be "Perfectly Un-balanced" If getting hit reset the timer, BUT once you get the buff for the strike getting hit won't lose you it anymore so you can just run at an enemy carelessly after dodging long enough
Im a bit surprised you didn't show off Psycho Knife with it- the items seem like a perfect match
Switching up gameplay through an accessory sounds like a great idea. Imagine having accessories that add mechanics or augment weapons like massively slowing down fire rate for more damage or needing bows to be drawn for more damage. This way accessories can be upgraded or sidegraded and if the player doesn't like the gameplay then they can choose to not equip the accessory.
although strong for 1 good attack you have a higher dps to just strike if it needs to charge without the player attacking
now I'm lookin forward to doin my first playthrough of Thorium also that piano song at the end what was it, it sounds beautiful.
I'm using overhaul at the same time, and it turns into the most fun mechanic ever since the swing is completely different
