It's cool to see you guys just hangin' and having fun.
I set mine up (had a '77 Chevy Monza 2+2 5 liter (305ci), home fabricated N2O system, SP2P 4 barrel manifold, Holley 650) with an ON/OFF switch to power an extra fuel pump and arm the Gas/N2O solenoids, with a momentary switch. I cut the bottom of the stock 2-barrel air box to fit the Holley. It was a bear to change left-side plugs. Ah, I miss that car.

It is a shame her car will have a 4000hp pos engine that takes all the fun out of racing because you have to constantly work on stuff to keep it running
Her car needs a reliable 1000hp big block that you simply add fuel and oil then race.

There is a safety release for the locking mechanism. It’s with tow truck drivers use. There’s usually a little cap you pull off on the shifter.
Really enjoy videos from a real gear head. Instead of a part timer . Have to thank cleat for turning me onto your channel

Brake light switch is 2 switches one for brake lights one for power to the shift lock solenoid, if you have power at the shift lock the the brake switch is okay with engine on and foot on brake. Then run a wire from the earth side of solenoid to a ground if that works then the BCM is faulty.
The shifter issue is a park lock actuator. Some gm brake light switches have 2 different switches in them, one controls the park lock release and the other controls the brake lights and the cruise off switch. If you replace the actuator and have the same issue still, replace the brake light switch on the pedal.
The start in Carterville was cool my local tavern was just a couple doors over. I got to hang out and see a bunch of ppl checking in.

I had that solenoid go out on the wife’s Yukon. I broke the tab so it couldn’t lock just to get it to shift. Never replaced it. It will always shift now.

I had the same thing happen it was the brake light switch... make sure it is locked in place or it won't shift out

The brake switch is bad. You can look at the pid and it will say on or off. When it works it moves that solenoid.
Looking at the people coming out of a motel with that guilty look on their face😅

Bump the nitrous in the burnout until it hits and then hold the button from the start to get up in boost as fast as possible and I’d be holding it halfway down the track also
Holding it once the turbo is spooled up is just going to make the boost control work harder
toms thing is like my old duster was. but we was running 1/4. one time it would run a 10.50 and change nothing and the next would run 9.85 out of the hundreds of slips i had maybe 2 was the same time.
