I must mention that this JMM pair was a GIFT from one of our incredible clients, Karen. I could not believe her generosity in bringing them for me when she visited our store from Germany. Thank you, Karen 🙏
This channel is what put me on to the luxurious eyewear game. I started with JMM, and then because of your videos I purchased a pair of the newer variant of Cartier's picadillies, and then finally purchased a pair of white buffalo from Cartier. So, to answer the initial question, yes, I would spend endless money on luxury eyewear! Thanks for all the wonderful videos, with all the great advice! Watching your videos is a calming experience, it's definitely a vibe!
The JMM’s are incredible in appearance and quality. They look more refined to me and could be worn across a variety of occasions. It shows how quality and design can really impact a look. Nice!
I have both lenses, brown is really up my alley - despite living in the very sunny tropics. Also I do think it's worth spending more on a pair of sunglasses (or glasses) you enjoy.
Robert, Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your lovely fiancée! Thanks again for hand delivering my new Masunaga and Reykjavik Eyes glasses out here in Vegas. I’ve absolutely loved wearing them the past few weeks, and you really hit the nail on the head in terms of style and fit. So happy I reached out to you for these projects and will be doing so again soon for something else. - J.P.
Hey J.P! We both truly enjoyed meeting you. It was an absolute highlight of the trip as you were such a positive and warm person to be around. Thank you for putting your trust in me any my team. I think the outcome speaks for itself in the footage!
I enjoyed hearing a bit of your story and impression of the lenses. The frame choices you made are very similar to my own taste and I will be getting my own first pair of progressives in the coming months. It’s encouraging to hear how little you noticed the distortion because I’ve been super bummed and nervous about that!
@FOADMedia I appreciate your kind reply. I got an email notification with your message but can’t see it on RUclips to reply back. I find we have a lot in common! I too have been mostly a contact lens wearer but unhappy with options as my intermediate vision is deteriorating. I mostly live in a $15 pair of Amazon glasses when using the computer from home because I can’t see the computer, or my dinner plate for that matter, when I’m wearing my single vision distance glasses. I’m hoping Robert can help me fix that!
@@Aviendha1976 very strange, I had added the comment (clearly you got the notification) but when I refreshed the page just now it wasn't there. Go figure. I'm going to paste it here just for the sake of continuity. it really was minimally noticeable. I’ll tell you though that it was more apparent the first day or two indoors in dim light than it was outdoors in the desert sun. From the minute I put them on though, it was amazing. Clarity at all distances, from my watch to the dashboard of the car on the way home etc. everything was in focus. Truly a revelation. I’ve been primarily a contact lens wearer for more than 40 years, occasionally wearing glasses after I took out my contacts or on days when I simply didn’t want to put them in. Over the past few years though, I started relying on poor quality reading glasses more and more to the point where I was wearing them through much of the day while working (I’m on a computer all day). I figured I’d look into options and started learning about progressives and the pros and cons of them. I can’t stress enough the importance of spending for the best quality lenses you can afford. The better the lens tech, the better (wider) field of view you’ll get. Getting the right look was important to me as well since I have one eye with a much higher prescription than the other and that can make things wonky. It’s important to find an optician who will work with you and help you make the right choices. For me, high end optical boutiques weren’t something I found here in Vegas so I reached out to Robert and the quality of the results are obvious. Hope you’re able to make the move to a good set of progressives. They were a game changer for me.
Thanks. Prefer reykjavik frame, but not in the red. Had brown and green photochromic lenses. Much prefer green, or graphite green. Personal choice suppose.
Thx for another great show from Vegas . Both pairs look incredible, and as well what you brought to that Vegas dude ;) Btw, if you go to LA, would you do a review of a Mc Leigh sunglasses ? They are also made in Japan,i got my self a pait and they are amazing. Greetings
Is a dedicated pair of sunglasses still necessary if you have adaptive sun lenses? I have photofusion X and find I still need dedicated sunglasses if out in bright sunlight for long periods since Photofusion X never goes dark enough.
A frame with Adaptive sun lenses is a dedicated pair of sunglasses. Photofusion X starts at almost 0% Tint and can under right conditions go up to 85% tint. Adaptive sun starts at 60% percent with a solid tint and 75% to 25% in a Gradient Tint and outside they could get dark up to 97% Solid Tint in both versions.
Yeah, you can find great quality and stylish glasses for a third of the price of the ultra luxury brands. The only possible advantage of the ultra luxury glasses brands might be better optics and even then.
Neither. I've already said this i am going to say it again: these fashion sunglasses are hardly functional, with the flat lenses and all that crap about those fashion tints. You want a pair of legit sunglasses you go to Serengeti, Maui Jim or even Revo. As far as tints go: grey, brown, or green. Full stop.

Great Video. I personally like the JMM and it’s look.
Wish you start stocking JMM soon.

JP's glasses look AWESOME!
He really knocked it out of the park for me with those.
Absolutely! I was proud of this one
I agree. Totally prefer the pairs he got over the blingy $1000 sunglasses!
great video- I'd take the l'ecurie. The thin titanium is super lightweight and comfortable!

Both are beautiful pairs for different occasions and vibe you're looking for. I don't think i can say one is better than the other.
Totally agree!
Happy Christmas Robert. Have a wonderful New Year and best wishes to all at The Spectacle Factory.....👓👏👏👏👏
Same to you! Merry Christmas! Thank you for your support 🙏
The JMMs look great on you!
Thanks. Love them!

It's definitely a personal choice, but most people prefer green in my experience

Noted! I'll hopefully be coming to LA next year
Come to miami as well!@@thespectaclefactory
I don't know if those glasses are worth $2000 or not, but both pairs do look cool.
So the JMM's are about $1100 and the L'ecurie pair is about $900
I can't decide on Zeiss smart life or Zeiss drive safe lenses. The glare at night really is jarring
Then it should be DriveSafe

what do you think of RetroSuperFuture sunglasses? Thanks.
What's the difference between a pair of lenses with a base 30-40% tint with Photochromic vs having adaptive sun lenses?
Robert do you sell jmm sunglasses?
We don't; this pair was gifted to me
@@thespectaclefactory I'd like to see JMM's in S/F as well...??
Goes to show you can sell anything if you can also tell a story!!
Everything is about stories. It's about the history, intention and passion behind the product. Otherwise, everything would be the same
@ I do agree with that sir!!
both are some overpriced pieces of metal.... you can took Ahlem , Matsuda or Masunaga and get the same level of quality
Explain?
You forget about craftsmanship etc. All are not equal.😊
@@kyleda90 masunaga have a lot more handwork than those brands combined ...lol

@@jackesioto I swapped the original lances from my JMM Torino for the Zeiss's - originals have some terribile antireflective coating (blue)

I purchased a pair of JF rey 3057 (2506) but now I have no idea what color lens to put in them 😅 any tips for the teal accents?
