Flying Air Canada Economy Class but looking for something a little more premium without the sticker shock of a cabin upgrade? You might find yourself tempted to purchase a Preferred Economy seat to make that cramped Economy experience a little more bearable (and trust me, on this aircraft, it's worth it!)
Join me in this video as we check out what the Preferred Economy seats are like on Air Canada's Airbus A220-300. No, this isn't "Premium Economy", as that's a different cabin and ticket altogether. Preferred seats rather are a select few seats in the Economy cabin that have been deemed more favourable (and therefore more expensive $$) because of their location or because they possess extra legroom.
More videos like this coming soon as we check out the Preferred Economy seats on other aircraft in Air Canada's fleet!

Thanks! I really like the A220, it’s a very comfortable and modern-feeling aircraft - great for hopping around North America or within Europe!

A220 (AC294) has the most uncomfortable seat. It's like you're sitting on a wood. I missed Delta

Hard to see the difference between bulkhead and rows 19-21. You said bulk head is different but you can’t tuck your feet under the seat in front…. I’m 6’4 traveling with an infant surely row 20 with its extra legroom and closer to the toilets would be better? Wish there was more of a focus on what the other preferred rows look like. If any one else has has used them and has a suggestion please let me know

For the headphones is it a double jack that you need a splitter for or are you able to plug in 2 sets of headphones on 1 screen?

    • @WillAviation

I think these are single jack!

Yeh I remember those stupid double jacks. It was so they forced you to buy their headphones or use your own but only hear in one ear. I think that’s all in the past.

Unfortunately to date, Air Canada is the only Canadian airline to carry the A220 ?

Porter cancelled their order and now uses Embraers. West jet doesn’t bother with either of those pieces of junk.
